If he is smart this violent outburst from Mallu should raise a red flag in him. He should become more cautious and try not to provoke Mallu. He should now take Nidhi into confidence. I think that's why he goes with Mallu during that violin scene, coz confronting Mallu especially when Nidhi is with him will only anger Mallu and it may lead to horrible consequences. At this time caution is the best way for him, as he is still injured and unable to even defend himself. If Mallu goes ahead and attacks Nidhi, who will help her then? But yes, he is deffo going to start feeling restless around Mallu. This outburst should make him scared for Nidhi's life.

Though Ashu will be surprised at Mallika's behaviour and also angry - he will not tell her anything and will pass off the incident that it is due to Mallika's condition and not intentional - after all "woh dil ki saaf hain" and Nidhi will be very upset with that.
