I gonna be the devils advocate, in this post. In regards to both of your opinions about DB's part in provoking the statement from ashu, I want to disagree. (sorry)

I agree that DB in past has been loud, unbearable, and abnoxious, but since she has come to nidhis house, I fell she has been quite restrained. And plus she is saying what we all feel anyway.

Anyhow, according to the precap, I don't think she said anything wrong, anybody can see what is happening, in that house, and what ashu is actively participating in being allowed to happen with nidhi. How is dadibhua wrong, wouldn't any mother protect her child, she won't just stand by idly and let her daughter's married life get ruined. Agar ashu apni biwi ka pain nahin dekh sakta, to that is his problem, how how can DB ignore nidhis pain. And no matter what DB says, no matter how provocative, there is absolutely no justification, for ashu to make that kind of remark. Whatever he said should have been directed towards DB, there was no need to pull nidhi into the mix. She has done nothing, except bow down to his every wish and command. So in my POV, no amt of poking prodding or provoking can excuse ashu. And Jahan tak regrets on his part, to bhayya ab kya pacchtana jab chidiya chug gayi khet. He can repent in leisure while holding mallus hand and wiping her tears.

The first part of the story is that younger sister Juhi has a crush on JS but he falls in love with the older on AS. But AS is a very egoistic person, very vain and feels she is the most beautiful person on earth. JS is a big shot, a noted businessman. JS and AS get engaged and on the day of the marriage AS just runs away leaving a letter that she had a film offer and wanted to make it big. To save face, her parents and JS convince simple younger sis Juhi to marry him and she does. So, after a while both Juhi and JS fall in love with each other and are willing to take their marriage to the next level when AS comes back! Now, AS hates to loose to her younger sister and cannot accept that JS could fall in love with someone as simple as Juhi when he used to love her!

Anyways, coming back to this story, it was called House of Mirrors - Aaina, see the connection! This story was about a doctor (surprised!) who was injured (surprised again!) who moves to a new town, into a new house and meets this young simple girl who is his neighbor. This guy is bitter as he has had an accident and his GF ditches him for another guy. During his recovery he starts spending more time with this neighbor and they fall in love and even get married. By this time even he recovers and wants to go back to his original hometown. So they move back and are happy when his ex comes back. I don't remember her story but she now regrets leaving him and they end up re-connecting, much to his wife's dismay. His ex starts showing OCD towards him and starts clinging to him, just like AS in Aaina. Finally his wife confronts him and he rudely tells her that he has realized that he still loves his ex and asks her to leave, but does not expect his wife to actually do it. Now she is shocked and ends up going back to her home, without informing him.

In the meantime his ex gloats and he does what JS does to AS in the end of Aaina. He takes his ex to a house of mirrors he had built for them and shows her her true mirror and tells her she can never compare to his wife and he loves only his wife. But when he comes back, his wife has already gone. So, he follows her. But its already been 2-3 days and his wife is in complete shock, and unknowing to both of them she is also pregnant. She has a miscarriage and ends up in depression. The rest of the story is how he repents and helps her recover. In his effort to teach his ex a lesson he ends up hurting his wife and repenting big time!

That's it! Aaina was loosely based on this, a more Indian version, but the presumptions were the same... as it is in the current KTLK track! But this track has someone as unpredictable as KP handling it, and this is what worries me more. I feel he is hell bent upon butchering Ashu's character to uphold Mallu's! I also feel he is has something against positivity... so lets see!

The picture doesn't mean that they are together in the show. They still work together on the same sets so they posed for a picture for the fans. And since nidhi got married KK wears saris, why would she not,even if she moved back to CB's house. Hence the picture.
