Yday, Ashu was going on and on abt pyaar for marriage and all that to Mallika, why did he do that ? First of all, he knows, very well knows that Dr M loves him and wants to maarry him but he cannot maary her bcoz of Nidhi and so instead of giving gyaan to Dr M abt love , he shd have told her to go ahead and accept Jagan's proposal. In the current scenario, thats the best remedy but instead of talking sane, hes confused Dr M even more and now dug a grave for himself, by forcing Mallika to propse him...When he cannot marry her , then wtas the whole point of asking her not to marry Jagan, shd Dr M wait till his next janam hoping that he would fall in love with her then ...somehow , it was disgusting 😡

No. I don't buy that he is a dimwit. It is not in his character to knowingly give wrong advice to mall just to get her out of the way. He advised her as a true friend would. He has always been frank with her. He knew fully well that jagan was a wrong person and he cannot see mallika get hurt since he still cares about her as a true friend.

Yaar... he is so blinded to Mallus intentions that.. he wont ever believe his clean hearted friend .. can ever do anything wrong ..😡

I overall agree with you.Why he was giving the Gyaan of Pyaar?That means if Mallu loves him she would have to continue with her one-sided feeling.Surely he doesn't want it.As a friend he is right to oppose Jagan because Jagan does not seem good man but while Mallu herself is impressed and defending him,there was no need to give the Gyaan of Pyaar,he just could say to choose anyone else.
Actually Ashu's life is something different.We know he is a orphan and he got GodFather Baba and lost him.This pain could not be cured by Mallu ever but Nidz did it.So to Ashu, Pyaar and Judaai ka matlab Mallu ya nIdhi se thoda aur gahera hai-Mallu ka 12 saal aur ab Nidhi ka na jane kitna din saddy rahegi,lekin Ashu ke liye yeh umarbhar ka Pyaar ya Gum hai.So,in that angle,he may be justified from his own POV.

Ashu advising Mallu not to marry Jagan as he was not a nice guy was alright - as he is a real friend to Mallu and is concerned about her. But yes - he need not have gone on to the topic of love. On top of that he gave a dialogue as "tum ho hi pyaar karne layak" or something like that - which only raised Mallu's hopes.

He should have just told her that according to him he is not a nice guy and that she should think properly before committing - thats all. Yeh pyaar wyaar ka dialogue bol ke usi ne instigate kiya Mallu ko phir se propose karne ke liye

Wonder what he is going to reply today - tension still on.

Ashu Mallu ka true friend hai and he always wish only good things for her. And being true friend he advise Mallu not to marry Jagan as Jaggu is not correct guy.

Ashu is clean hearted guys and think that every one is like him and thats his problem with Mallu.

He should have encouraged Mallika to marry Jagan - after all despite Jagan's shortcomings if J carried a torch for M all these years, then obviously he truly cares for her.

here me disagree...

yes ashu is a fool when it comes to Mallu...but even then I don't want him to encourage a friend to marry a guy who he doubts... whatever will happen to Maalu should be due to her actions...and No involvement off Ashu...
