Very good post. Like Tanu and others said my only objection is when Ashu came to talk both of them could have tried together to explain to Baba one last time.

In my other post I had mentioned that Ashu should mention the reason for Nidhi's removal from KGH and also assure Baba that if AShni are together he will do everything to help her career.

They could have mentioned Ashu's connection with Nanaji and how he has forgiven Nidhi for selling the house. Ashu could have praised Nidhi for bringing him out of his private hell, his fort for the last five years and so on...just given Baba a little insight into their love...

If Baba still did not agree then they could have separated though I give credit to the CVs for introducing this separation. It is a good way to bring in Ashu's Baba...

Best thing about the separation is that this show is finally looking and feeling like a love story! 😉

as for the most active forum.. dunno yaa.. d last forum i was active big time was Harry Potter forum...had a gr8 time there..

as for nidhi.. i agree wid u when u say she has chosen lesser of two evils..

but at this point of time i wanna point out sum things which created this dilemma in d 1st place..

1. she was never serious abt her job n career.. even after she rejoined kotnis ,she never took it seriously d way she was supposed to .. it was all a khel for her...like i said loads of times pehle ,she never made a single decision by herself .. n this time 2 its not her decision...its just a reluctant acceptance of a decision made by sumone else.. in this case her baba...

Iam not sayin that she should have fought baba.. what iam sayin is it would have been better if she had made the decision on her own coz she realised that her family would suffer n all.. dint she know that?

2. she knew ashu was 18yrs elder 2 her.. when ashu accepted n confessed his feelins for nidhi in front of arman,he had fully thought all d pros n cons.. n when he accepted nidhi ,he knew what he was gettin into.. but d same cant be said for nidhi.. she just went wid d flow.. changed hairstyles, t shirts n wat not.. couldnt she sit for sumtime .. discuss wid anjii .. or better still alone .. n think of all the pros n cons ?

Even if she had decided 2 back off at that point ..which was easier.. (just take internship at another hospital lady),it wouldnt have hurt so many ppl.. arman,rohan,DB ,baba ,anji n most importantly ashu.. she knew his history.. of being a orphan ... n baba leavin him alone suddenly.. how could anyone even think of hurtin a person like him? i mean couldnt she take 10 mins off her busy schedule of thinkin abt stupid stuff like hair dye ,methi muthiya n all that n think wat would happen if baba doesnt agree 2 their relationship?

3 . even after confession ,when mandira came into the picture.. rohan warned her,then all she said that she can take on d world only if ashu is wid her.. again in dreamworld .. not in reality..watch wat ur sayin lady.. n try 2 follow wat u said...its not a game.. ur playin wid someone's emotions..when ppl like ashu fell in love ,they give it everythin they have.. when they loose it,they loose everythin..

4. d transformation from a confident lady who can tell her baba that she loves someone 18yrs bada to a resigned aansoo bahao type lady was too sudden n i wish the transformation was gradual..

just my POV..feel free 2 disagree n share ur views...

as for virtual slippers.. i love 2 annoy shali n run away from her sandals n belans.. dunno how many times I have escaped them...

So basically,if they were right and parents were right in their concerns,they together could try their best to convince Baba and even after all attempts,Baba remained adamant,they could merge without family acceptance.
But more than age-factor,there is another thing we perhaps have not thought much.Ashu don't have a family either.There would be no one to support them thereafter.That is a big minus point in this situation.

deepa_jd i do agree that she could have tried to convince her baba but Nidhi is just not in a state to put up a cohesive argument to her baba she is in such deep shock. As you rightly pointed Ashu knew exactly what he was doing when he was getting into this relationship, whereas Nidhi was in her dream world of romantic fluff. The reality and hopelessness of her situation hit her like a train wreck.

Nidhi wants to have cake and eat it too That is definitely not possible. You have to take some firm decision and effect may be that some one may be adversely affected.
