This reminds me of classroom discussions of my MBA course. I am sure Sony has some strategy consultant working at turning around KTLK. I thought he did come open to his fans and elaborated on his medical condition in the Asian Age interview. It is just that most of his fans (including myself) caught the word 'temporary' he used in his FB status posted on Tuesday. He also said talks are on for another show with Sony. In response to one of the comments posted by a fan (dont remember whether it was Tuesday status or Wednesday status), he wrote in hindi 'main kahan ja raha hoon'. He perhaps did not realise the board exams factor and missed asking children to concentrate on studies. According to the text book method (not my view), if he does it now, it will be counter productive. My sense is that his communication with the fans is part of a broader communication strategy devised by the channel to manage this change.

I knew something drastic is coming up when Rajan Shahi said that Sony has taken part creative control but never imagined this. This show was part of their overall strategy. I can elaborate on their overall strategy too which I find very interesting but suffice it to say that in management jargon it is called Blue Ocean strategy. Those interested can google it on net.
