Ashutosh takes Nidhi's side and protects her from Mallika's barbs.Nidhi asks to go to the bathroom and is taken aback to see Ashutosh's photo in Mallika's bedroom. Mallika tells nidhi to look for tissues in one of her dressing table drawers. Nidhi's eyes catch the sight of a file. Nidhi doesn't know it is the same file which Sandeep Baghchi had given to Mallika which made Mallika new owner of Dr.Mathur's house but she doesn't pay attention. Mallika feels relieved that Nidhi didn't see the file. Ashutosh tells her that Nidhi wanted to gift him the house but she had to sell it to some Sandeep Baghchi to payback Col.Verma's loan and Sandeep Baghchi can't be traced otherwise he would bought the house from him at any cost. Mallika offers to track Sandeep Baghchi and get the house from him for Ashutosh. Nidhi feels the arrow is aimed at her inability to gift the house to Ashutosh. Mallika surprises Ashutosh by gifting him a pack of rare CDs of Beethovan which were out of stock but Mallika somehow managed to get them for Ashutosh. He is overwhelmed by Mallika's gift as Nidhi looks on helplessly. Nidhi realizes she can never think of giving Ashutosh what he loves, only Mallika can. Mallika smiles at her victory and tells Nidhi to take her advice when thinking of something to gift Ashutosh because she knows Ashutosh's likes and dislikes better...
