i guess its not badly acted scene.. in fact their conversation is nicely crafted by CVs.. the situation is such tht both Ashu and Mallika look at the same situation in different angles.. each & every time she tries to express her agony, Ashu takes it positively since it helped in bringin him and Nidhi together ..
The way Ashu says he doesnt need her permission to fall inlove with anybody, his POV is clear.. he says tht love cant be forced by waiting for 12 yrs to happen it someday, it happens anytime & Mallika shud be satisfied with some good moments in his life after such a long time as a friend.. i think Mallika is caught here in conflict after waiting for him for so long & possessive feelings came in her way of getting happy for Ashu..
As regards Ashu's laughin, he laughed quite a few times before in many scenes between them. I think here people r not understanding his reason for laughing... he laughs when he tries to negate/ neglect/ ignore Mallika's POV... he cant negate it in a direct way upfront... so he tries to negate it casually... though this scene could be crafted in different frames i think it was nicely written wher both characters express their POV freely..
In fact one of the most classic tragedy scenes i hv seen so far in this serial... the way Ashu thanks Mallika for bringin him & Nidhi together was the high point of y'day's episode.. i know Ashu's reaction was totally unexpected by audience but he did it intentionally to make his confession of love more sound.. after all, he is not prisoner of Mallika..😊

Very well said...I was quite surprised that the episode and the scene was criticised so vehemently by some...I particularly loved the lines in bold and I agree with u 100% on them...I had the same feelings as u when I saw the episode...we could see that when Mallu confessed to all she had done to keep Ashni apart Ashu was angry but being the soft-spoken gentleman he is and a good friend to boot he simply thanked her for bringing him and nidhi closer together...this reaction could also be taken as a soundless slap in Mallu's face by Ashu or simply sugar-coated sarcasm...But thats the kind of person he is... I particularly liked the way he said u are my friend and should be happy that at long last I have found happiness in my life...I did not see anything wrong in the scene...But yes sometimes Ashu's laughter does tend to irritate me a bit..i love his smiles and his mannerisms but he should work a bit in containing his laughter...

yes.. it was not badly acted scene.. in fact ppl r not used to such kind of scenes on TV.. such scenes r shown only in classic tragedy movies wher it is left to audience to interpret & think over it... in such scenes characters talk but more than characters audiences feel it more... so such scenes shud not be seen in a negative way..

and Ashu's laughter is intentional for tht character in certain situations.. MB shud try to make it somewhat subtle than more expressive so that it may not look artificial at times.. i guess MB knows how to underplay or tone down in situations like this..

I think separate frames are affecting everyone's acting & so are the extreme closeups.

agree...wasn't badly acted at all.. yep Ashu was very positive in conversation he was ecstatic about him accepting the relation and mallika indirectly forced him to his happiness...

ditto...he was very firm and making his ground clear again about him not needing permission...he was usual calm and coherent with mallika. yet he was putting ball in her court..mallika had no way to fight him back..

Dr Ashu first reaction was off anger... but he controlled himself and heared out what malika had to confess... and turned it in a positive reaction...which was a slap in malika's face...also by reacting like this... he kept the respect he had toward her as a friend/colleague intact...
which goes with his character...

Mallu looked like she was laughing or smiling when trying to look upset during the whole scene

^^ couldn't agree more😛

ther was a mismatch of frequency between Ashu & Mallika in that scene... only audience was supposed to match frequency with both of them..
and i guess since the creator of this topic feels tht this is badly acted scene, he/she hasn't matched his/her frequency correctly with the frequency of both characters...😊

I was just about to make a post on this...really bad acting...Asutosh was smiling even when mallika told that she sent Ashutosh to mumbai on pupose so that he wont be able to meet nidhi and she came to know that nidhi n ashu are in mumba,i she came there and also told nidhi that she got the job in city center hospital on ashu's recommendation. Ahutosh was smiling from ear to ear in the entire confrontation scene...found it very weird!

As someone pointed out that this is exactly what happens when actors shoot in separate frames 😡

If u hv seen that scene carefully, Ashu knew that Mallika doesn't like Nidhi and he reiterated this thing in tht conversation again.. he was smiling bcoz he had some good and surprising memories of meeting Nidhi at convention which ultimately led to resolving all misunderstandings between them & bringing them together...
I guess this is one of the most misinterpreted scene in this serial... pls. refrain from criticising these actors... i think all the viewers are not able to grasp or digest the essence behing thier act here in this scene..
