I agree, MB is doing a fabulous job...especially in those bits where he hides his emotions in front of Malika...she tries a lot to get things out of him but somehow she is never really able to touch his core...it's not meant to be.

I hope the show maintains this quality of subtle expression of emotions.

I agree...I really don't like stories where the leads fall for each other overnight and then it's just an endless trip/catch/stare routine...I would like to see a slow, gradual process shown nicely in the case of Ashu-Nidhi...right now the way they've crept into each other's thoughts is a hint for the future like you said :-) And yes Ashutosh's smile is enough to make us all melt😆

When Ashu asked what she mite have decided.. She said.. To stay in.. n fight.. n adjust... n Ashu complimented her at it being one of the reasons why she is such a good doc... She quickly threw it back at him with the.. 'i m a good doc... AT A COST' wonder what COST Nidhi will have to pay!'

The word had that same.. yearning feeling that Mallika falls on..everytime she is in a contemplative chat with Ashu!

Oh yeah that was a very interesting dialogue from Malika and another one with foreshadowing...I was wondering if this scene would be repetitive with Malika again asking Ashu to give them a chance but I liked the dialogues cuz they gave a different twist to the scene while maintaining that undercurrent of Malika's yearning and disappointment...Nidhi will indeed have to pay her own COSTS of wanting to be a doctor in this hospital but hers will be different from Malika's...the common point will be that the COST in both cases will involve Ashutosh albeit in different ways.

I really am liking this Anji better than the Anji in DK as she has great chemistry with Kritika and her acting is also better than the original and their friendship really strikes a chord with me.

Really liked the cabin scene where DR Ashu was recalling the skeleton bit with Nidhi in his mind and the ever so slight smile turning into a hint of laughter that was so fabulously done by MB and his restlessness of waiting for Nidhi and her decision.The look of disappointment and the pain in his eyes was quite evident that I felt so bad for him..awww..

Nidhi will now realize that she has made the wrong choice and shouldn't have given up without fully immersing herself into the profession and also the first love pangs are yet to come from her side Can't wait to see tomorrow how she deals with her decision.

Yes, Nidhi will now re-evaluate after making this decision...I'm glad they showed the twist in this fashion...this will show that one incident was not enough to make Nidhi have that realization of where her vocation, her passion lies...now after being taken away from it, she will feel the loss and come to the realization that this is her destiny...and the first pangs of love will follow along the way then I guess.

First of all Anu - I must say, your siggy is lovely. The rare smile that was flashed by Ashutosh twice during today's episode was actually the highlight for me. It kinda made me feel sorry for him and his situation. To be an orphan in this world, to get the love one craves for and then lose it all in one go, and to be able to move on in life is the hardest thing of all - MB did a good job portraying Ashutosh's vulnerability. No wonder Ashutosh thinks of himself as a dry and arid desert. It just goes to show how much he needs that cool and fresh rain in his life to wash away all the bitterness and sadness.

I think they've made Ashutosh a more vulnerable character in KTLK...Ahmer too had his vulnerabilities, his loneliness in DK...but he seemed tougher... with Ashu, I get more of a sense of vulnerability...maybe that is the way MB plays him...that is why you empathize with him over those aspects...it just seems like Ashutosh's vulnerabilities are more obvious in this series...you can see all that tries to hide many times yet is affected on a level as well...tangible loneliness as he truly feels there is nothing left in his life now but the hospital and his work...

Which is why like you said, moments when he smiles like that really make you empathize more with him and wish that there is some joy and laughter in his life too...and that Nidhi is able to bring that to him when they've just met shows the impact that a person is having in his life after a long time...slowly but steadily she's creeping into his thoughts and his life.

I think what makes him smile or even think about her is that she doesn't behave like others do around him. Because they know he is Dr Hardstone and has certain kind of behaviour as well as expectations, people tend to go with that flow. Whereas Nids is just herself, she never behaves or does thinks he expects from her. This feature I suppose is attractive for him.

I am glad that Nids didn't make a decision based on the incident but more of a self realisation that comes from within.
The thing is that I think from a Doc's perspective, Ash has realised her potential, which is why he is upset by her decision but Nids must really want to want to become a doc.

well, yesterday wen i had a go at the epis on dailymotion.. i found Angi-Nidhi convo lacking thr usual warmth.. and the rest of scenes were okay and njoyable.. bt Nidhi's night-long comtemplation failed to impress me... and I had found Kritz a bit underacting... and A feeling anxious abt N's decision a bit too early in their luv story..

It was a nice episode yesterday. I was wondering why does Ashu not hook up with Mallika? She seems to understand him but is a bit pushy in wanting him to share his private space with her. But otherwise she seems perfect for him. The sort of understanding she has for him many times spouses dont have all their lives for each other. Is Ashu punishing himself for other's betrayals and in turn punishing Mallika too? Or is it simply a case of you cannot love a person and only be cordial with them?
