Anjie-RN scene- looks like I am the only one who didnot enjoy those scenes. As per the original story RN will soon fall in love with her; but I find no chemistry between them at the moment

Shamil, you sum up the MB KK scenes best in your first two lines above. Minus, I still say, the 3 blocks, which came too soon or too exaggerated for me. The skeleton bit was an atypical touch - and one well executed by both! 👏

The FBs - we're on the same page.

As for Anji - R, I suppose I'm not really looking for a profound love story there. Like Maz said, more for a relief buffer to AN gravity - hoping their story will evolve into its due share of solemn past all the comic drama 😆 I won't say I don't see what you mean about lack of 'chemistry' between An-R but like I said, they're just not that couple for me, not yet, and possibly wont be for a while. But they're both the kind of second leads who can eventually emerge as layered characters with flimsy casual exteriors and some subtle undertones of personal demons - say melancholia, or just lonely amidst the laughs and smiles? Not like depression cases - but the kind who have their own strains which they let on only so rarely, even to themselves. Anyway - I won't mind them being just sidekicks to ease out strains and give us good camaraderie for the main leads ... as long as they make sense =)

As Mini said, its a character from Gulaal called 'Mota Bha' who we addresses as MB, and was one of our favorite characters on the show, after the leads themselves! 😳 Nothing with KTLK - but we're a bunch of Galool-ians here and the references just pop up! 😆

So I can't even compare and contrast cause I saw DK so long ago, I don't remember details like that! But even independent of that comparison, its just being executed in a very shallow manner. Zero connect so far - given its an MB exclusive frame, it could be so so much better! I hope I offend no one, but I'm not exactly an Alok Nath fan... 😳 Still i'd expect this kind of history sequence to play much better between actors like them. And Ashutosh as a hyper 20 something with a violin was just, jutting out of nowhere for me.

Another irritating part is they just can't seem to decide what specialty Dr. A is practicing. one day he is a pediatrician the other day he is Gynecologist. Are they trying to say he is a genius and hence he can handle all the specialties.😕 My sister is a pediatrician she finds all the inconsistencies with the medical part of the show so irritating that she just switched it off. 😆 She said I do not want to watch it.

LOL - yeh Tanu mentioned how med people were having that problem. I'm far more affected by the characterization as such, and the screenplay all the more - so I can pass the medic stuff, if that goes well. Some dialogues actually show promise - but then something very trite follows it up and disappoints me. I wish to no end that they'd alternate better between silent emoting and good sound dialogue ...

Another thing that I find extremely irritating is the fact that Nidhi told the guy he was going to be a father of a baby girl before the baby was born.

Okay so I'm not sure I'll make sense, I'm certainly not defending the stand here - but I would almost pass that slip off as in character for Nidhi. Clearly her history has a sweet sour chord with the mother daughter bond - and maybe this was more of ... you know, like an excited spill of detail than a solemnly made thoughtful statement. I think the whole idea of a mother daughter bond is this mystical special thing to her - and she probably just jumped the gun and told him how a daughter was saving mother...! Its something her character is quite capable of - such verbal and casual negligence in her excitement!

I agree with the cabin scene. I enjoyed it but the way it ended was a bit I do not know let me just put it this way that I did not expect it to end that way.

Haha! Well that makes it 3 of us then 😆 yeh, we could certainly do without those blocks. The rest of it - thumbs up.

Thanks for your thoughts. I really hope they just make Dr. A a pediatrician permanently and hence I can watch the show peacefully. Looking forward to a better next week. In dhoop kinare Dr. Ahmer was a pediatrician I seriously do not remember him delivering a baby. 😕Lets just stick to that.

JZ I think the main reason I didnt like RN-A is bcoz I loved Dr.Irfan's character in DK. The interactions between him and Anjie in DK were far more entertaining. In KTLk all those stories that A made up to prove N ill seemed really childish to me. Vishal is a talented actor but some thing is lacking in his charcater; can't pin point what it is🤔
and thank u and Mini for clearing that doubt on gulaal MB😃

Lol - yes, those were all nice nuances Maz - the Ashutosh look to Anji's hitting her head expressions was 😆 The blocks were just iffy for me. I suppose enjoying the scene so genuinely made me hate on them more, eh! 😳

I like Anjie...quite crazy in her own way like Nidhi...of course that's why they are friends..😆 Her scenes with Ranganath were funny yeah...they will be the cheesy romantic couple, LOL...I'm ok with it..they will be a good buffer for Ashutosh-Nidhi..

Yes, exactly! The idea of a laid back buffer around the gravity of AN is certainly not unwelcome to me. And me too, me too! Anji makes it good on screen space - does justice to her time. And their bond is simple and real and natural - thumbs up to the girl thing! 👍🏼

@medical aspect...totally agree with you guys...it's unintentionally funny...especially the OT scenes..it's like 2 mins noodles ki tarah, they are done with the operations 😆 woh bhi delivery ke direct baad hysterectomy! And also if Nidhi realized there was a tumor after an ultrasound, abhi tak what were the docs doing? Don't they have regular ultrasound check-ups that could have shown this earlier? And the most funny part was Nidhi telling the patient's husband that they are going to have a baby girl..If I'm right, finding out the sex of the baby is illegal in India!

Word to the bold! 😆 The unintentionally funny, is actually funny the wrong way 😆 And as I said to Keva, although it is more likely a detailing error, I suppose the revealing of gender can go down as passable in Nidhi's character. She's not exactly the rule following or think before speak/act person!

Guess it's all in the name of creative liberty!

Talk about creative liberty - its exceedingly abused on TV... too much to stand too often - lets hope KTLK can curb their excess... although Rajan Shahi behind the scenes is never a source of solace to me personally. The more they take creative liberty for granted, the more I miss you know what... 😒

Aah maybe Shamil, I can imagine your disappointment at that. Like I keep saying, I've watched DK ages ago and can't remember enough to compare beyond blurs. I think its turning out for the better, because my expectation - especially in terms of creative sensitivity can be ridiculously high for Indian TV anyway...

@shamil,I feel that the problem is he is slightly stiff with his dialogues, maybe with time as he gets more comfortable with the character he will loosen up.

about the medical aspects of the show,I think it would be better if we don't give it much thought.remember Sanjeevani which turned into saas bahu saga😆and DMG where doctors had all the time in the world for romance-poor patients😭

I just got around to watching the epi...it wasn't too bad...I'm not expecting any medical realism from the show so I ignore those parts in general as long as they are not as horrendous as Clowns Mil Gaye.

I was surprised at the bits they changed from the original DK scene in the cabin scene...I was expecting an exact carbon copy...so I'm still not too sure about what to make of the the addition of the typical 'rasta rok liya' type of scene they showed with AN there. I liked the touch they added of Nidhi's bemusement at being scared by the skeleton then realizing what it is...that bit KK did very sweetly...but Ashutosh getting all flustered over the rasta roko was a bit much at this stage...this is just a week into the show. They added other different touches like Nidhi putting the coat back on the chair rather than handing it to him like Zoya did with Ahmer...so that bit again just felt different...they are just treating the whole 'hichkichahat' angle differently in this show I guess...I just hadn't thought Ashutosh's hichkichahat's' will start so soon...lol...although it was good to see him remember to remind her about the injection. That storyline also feels it's a bit early in the game compared to the original...ah well.

Okay - pretty much word to all that Nur. I am glad though, about not refreshing my DK memories, cause I think I'd be far more prone to comparison than is healthy to upkeep for a Shahi show 😆
That said, its curious they should introduce hesitance or consciousness on Ashutosh's account already, since they are actually striving to air this show much longer than the original. I'd have taken time getting to it - 250 episodes is plenty of time. But minus that debatable 3 blocks conclusion, the cabin scene was well done, came naturally, and luckily for us was perfectly enacted by both MB, and even KK! The skeleton bit was so cute, especially MB going finished?! 😆 I couldn't help but wonder all the time, how it would not hit him one of these days, that she was such a junior subordinate and that he was actually unassumingly compelled into far more liberty for her than a head could technically afford around a junior! 😆 Btw, KK putting that coat back on his chair - was very subtly well done done by her. She was actually cheeky and jumpy at once in that bit 😆

I liked the Anjie-Ranganath scene...Vishal was actually amusing with his reactions to the way Anjie was making up bimaris...lol...

Haha! Yeh, I still find Vishal sort of trying to fit into his role, but this scene to me was well done. Like I said to Tanu I think, between the cabin scene, and this An-R scene, we had too well done cute sequences of potential love stories - like those classic memories from the build up phase! Shamil said the original had a better bonding for those two - but like Maz, I'm just happy to watch these two play buffer, as long as they don't turn lunatic in the name of creative liberty!

Another thing...they are making Malika too defensive very early in this show...Sheena didn't start her full on cutting out Zoya sessions until later...yahaan toh already Malika is not even letting Nidhi operate? LOL...granted Nidhi's reputation at this point for carelessness would give anyone pause...but even then...that moment seemed more about female ego battling over Ashutosh than a doctor's expertise.

Too soon, yeh? I just remember Sheena being a little too dark for a grey vamp character that I prefer this role to be. So can't compare as you do - but yes, Mallika's iffy take yesterday was certainly beyond professionalism. She's not jealous yet of course, a while to get there, not even wary so to say, but the instinct has subconsciously kicked in, and like you said - its almost too soon. But if Ashutosh is going faster than Ahmer, than maybe it going to be like that? I'm still hoping the other news of Ashutosh having a sour love history isn't true. That would really dilute the story's concept for me, personally - bot for the Ashu-Mallika and Ashu-Nidhi angles.

I forwarded all the Irfan-Anjie scenes in the original😛😆...found them quite blah and actually annoying in bits :P...so I think Anji-Rangnath are cute for now...Vishal's a good actor...if they give him better material, I think he'll settle into this role better. I thought him and Anjie had good chemistry in that scene...I can see it growing in the future.

Hey Jzee... the whole Galoonian gang is here... yeee...

I got around to watching the last two episodes late, and feel like such a lazy bum posting my views now, when its almost been done and dusted... duhh ...anyways, better to have my say than wait for the next bit round...

The storyline is moving quite fast, and except for one or two issues like the driver-cook parts, I quite look forward to watching this show... the driver -cook, like many said, seems very dis-connected to the main story at this moment..

The whole Nidhi revealing the would be girl-child related issue seemed like an implusive slip on her part to me, but I was expecting it to be a big thing and Nidhi maybe getting a reprimand for it later... it is quite a big thing, the whole illegal bit in India and hence, the way it was casually dealt with, didn't go down well with me ... guess, will need to shut my eyes for some of these glaring mistakes, and try and just enjoy the rather interesting camaraderie and hesitant relationships revolving around Nidhi, Dr. Ashu, Angie, Ranga...

Nidhi and Dr. Ashu had so many interactions in the first week itself, there is just so much to absorb and understand... they are on tentative footing around each other, senior -junior till date, however there are moments when A finds Nidhi responsible enough to go and take responsibility for the woman's case, and maybe find her clearly sympathetic towards the child -Shahenshah to give her the responsibility for the injection.. or, just reminding her of her duties... guess, we will get to see in future what and how his feelings for this impulsive, young girl evolves...

The cabin scene was nicely done, with just a bit of OTTness with the skeleton, but I guess that goes with the territory of dealing with a young, bubbly character... loved how Ashu was stern yet not rude/ out rightly scolding her for going beyond her limits in invading his private space... that is why MB is cast as the perfect stern yet not a bully senior doctor... so subtle in his reprimanding bit...

R- Mallika bit was again soo random for me 😕... Are they like best buddies or not? I didn't understand the equation... also, this whole Mallika being Ashu's college buddy makes her also in her late thirties?? So, I guess either she is truly in love with Dr. Ashu to have been waiting for him for so long, or just didn't want to get married, what's the deal?? hmm... too much going on within a week, so will need to watch more to maybe understand the whole story...
