I watched every single episode of Dhoop Kinare...lovely...i fell in love with it...and i even have ordered for its DVD online. As and when I get it...I will upload the entire serial and will post it to those friends who are madly in love with it. Thanks RPmenon for the links that u posted for my previous query...

and frankly ... every actor has got their own excellence in one way or the other...undoubtedly DK is such a big success coz of matured action, and the actors chosen for the characters...same is the way KTLK... MB is a perfect fit for the role and Karthika...her bubbly nature...as per todays generation fast paced girl with bubbly nature pulls audience attention ...and in that way opting karthika is absolutely correct...DK has got its own sweetness and KTLK has got its own...

if there is perfection in the expression on the right time any sequence can be enjoyed...so...both are at the best in their excellence...what do u say friends,,,,,,,,,,,

DK had its share of flaws, KTLK do have its share of strengths too... for me both shows r jst amazinggg...

joining the discussion very late..I managed to see DK after hearing abt it on the forum and am I glad, very nice serial to put it mildly.

I do not know what kept me from watching Dhoop Kinare until this week. Having heard about this as being the "based upon" from the time KTLK promos started being aired, I went without trying to even Wiki it until now. I am in parts glad that I came into it quite late, especially after starting KTLK.

Dhoop Kinare is fantastic. It is everything a drama should be, subtle, touching, passionate and quickly creates an audience for itself with wonderful acting. No one else could have done justice to the roles other than Rahat Kazmi and Marina Khan. They were breathtaking! I, unfortunately, do not know much about Pakistani television but my first foray into a 1980s drama has left me spellbound.

Where KTLK is concerned, I love it as much as Dhoop Kinare just because it is not the 1980s anymore. For the kind of television available today, the romance in this drama is as heartwarming as its original. Mohnish Behl and Kritika Kamra are equally good. Can we have had anyone else in their place? I would not want it. They bring out nuances of the character wonderfully to suit a viewer's sensibilities in current times.

I will never compare the 2 because they are both very brave efforts for their eras. About imperfections or flaws, kehte hain chaand pe bhi daag hai 👍🏼
