I hope there is some intent & purpose in showing so much manipulation & emotional blackmailing by both maa & beta and the issues don't get swept under the carpet like the makers did in season 1. These issues have to be addressed and both Dev & Ishwari have to be made to realize their error of ways & how each of them contributed so much to the difficulties in Sonakshi's life ( as well as to their entire family & the Bose family too) & her unhappy state of mind for the major part of the past 10 years & also for making her feel like an outsider by not accepting her wholeheartedly into the family.. Also it will be nice if they acknowledge the fact that it was Sonakshi's goodness & niceness which has held the family together post leap & not because of Ishwari as assumed by Maa beta.

With the way things are going, I don't think they will...see Ultimately they will show dev and sona together and a happy ending with a photo of the whole family etc etc..but they will most probably sweep all of maa betas mistakes under the carpet, sona will nicely forgive and forget and be the good bahu because the writers this season are known to have memory loss or smth (I mean, that drastic change in ishwaris and devs character?? I was rewatching s2 ep1 and dev said "jab tumhari baat aati hai maa toh meri bhi nahi sunti"). So we as rational watchers are doomed ig.

what I expected this season was problems between dev and sona and ishwari acting as a mediator between the two, because her arc was completed in S1 (although haphazardly). Now, not only are we stuck with this horrible child swapping track but Ishwari is yet again the catalyst in ruining their relations, having odd relations with sona and devs spinelessness like before continues. I mean he was not this bad even in S1. He at least stood up for Suhana when ishwari was forcing relations then. What happened now? What is up with the makers???

Actually I stopped watching only bcoz of this ayush character. I want cvs somehow close this ayush track. But I know it will not happen n now ayush is hero othe show n he is permanent. So this season WU zinda baad😆

I suppose if the makers want to show Soha as Devakshi's biological kid then they also have option of showing Rohit's wife as one of Dev"s ex gf and Ayush as their ( Dev's) illegitimate son.🤣🤣 And that she told the truth to her husband on her deathbed & extracted a promise from him to unite the real father & son. 😜😅

I doubt in between showing all the troubles the maa beta are enduring and Dev's mental condition...the makers will show anything about Sonakshi. The makers as it is seem to be biased towards maa beta characters... I doubt there is any scope of showing Sonakshi's issues.

It's like the makers are trying hard to portray Dev and his mother to be right...and it seems to work too with some people who can only see that part. But that's how ITV stans have always been I guess. ITV stans are filled with having lots of expectations from the FL and 90% consist of male apologists and ML fans.

Absolutely agree with your post.👍🏼 I hope Dev has some genuine reason for being aloof & not sharing his thoughts & feelings with Sonakshi other than his toxic love & respect for his maa otherwise it will be difficult for me to root for his character even if he realizes his mistakes & makes amendments for the same at a later date.

He has been aloof even before Ayush entered their life...so yes there must be some other reason.

I wonder what would have been the reaction if Sonakshi had popped some pills too when Dev told her to understand (read agree) his and mother's views and return home only when she is able to do it. Would she get the same amount of understanding?

True! See , it's always about ishwari's struggles to bring up four kids and Dev's to change fortunes of his family . Sona pretty much did the same during the 7 year leap . Her family was penniless, she had a child in her womb and still managed to turn it around for her family without making her child bitter . Just that this wasn't glorified enough

Why Sona would do that ?

She is a normal , healthy minded lady

People who take sleeping pills to sleep are usually

If a Dr prescribe - Maniac patients

- people in extreme pain ( cancer , SLE, Neurological disease )

- patients suffering anxiety & OCD

Many cases sleeping pills are consumed by people who are unable sleep or calm their mind some of them buy by themselves .

In long run small safe doses won’t be enough ( that is called dependency or addiction ).. the person who is already addicted will increase the no of tablets which will cause ... Central nervous system slowing down

... brain cells will become less reactive

... lungs muscles will relax and stop functioning which can lead to a painless death ..

Dev who is not normal, his early life was troubles even after marriage there are lot if issues which he finds impossible to handle ( I am not judging Sona or Maa)

Even before meeting Sona he was taking sleeping pills , she is not guilty for that !

Today or coming days a therapist will explain how to deal with it scientifically and therapeutically.

After treatment and sessions once Dev come to his normal senses Dev & Sona must talk and decide they want to live together or not 🙄

If they want follow the guidelines so that again these kind of things won’t happen.

Even being in love many couple decide to part ways after all “Living peacefully “ matters .

There is no point bashing Dev or Sona

Dev is mentally sick now we can be sick mentally also let him recover first .

In real life if a person mixes Anti-anxiety drugs and Sleep inducers ( tablets bought from med stores without prescription) and consumes in case of over dose death is almost certain because the two diff gp of drugs act simultaneously causing brain to cease function.

See in ITV world nothing is impossible so Dev will be back ...

Who knows if not happy together than one of them dying going separate way is also a good practical choice

Now that entire circle of friends , relatives every one will come to know that ( press ) that he took sleeping pills it can affect his business .

People who invested in project may get shaken up by this developments .

There are a lot potentials in the story now

Yesterday when his mother was saying how having such a son is rare...who respects her a lot and never forgets his obligations towards her... I could only think how that's the relationship he could do justice to. Rest all he has failed at...regardless of his mental condition.

So true! With all that she has been through, the makers should have shown Sona who must be going through mental health issues. I mean cmon, she persisted through her heartbreak and raised her daughter alone for 6yrs, then this guy shows up again and promises to love her and cherish her but obv fails to do that.. then she finds out that her daughter isn't hers and that she has a son.. to top it all off, instead of providing the support and friendship her MIL promised, Sona recieves blame for something that was not even her fault, her husband does nothing. She is blamed for not being attached to this stranger of a kid instantly and when she tries to bond with him, MIL still taunts her and ruins their chance of coming close. And now, not only does this guy not stand up for her, he blames her and shows frustration on her...It is obvious for any normal human to get depressed in such a scenario..but no, according to makers sona is this Mahan character who doesn't face such issues. I think they didn't bring mental healthka angle to open up about it but so that we can sympathize with devs character, forget all the mistakes he made.... anyway I would love to see makers giving her what she deserves- redemption for past mistakes and love from dev and ishwari.

A normal person with a strong mind too has the capability to succumb to distractions... that's what mental illness is all about. It doesn't favour a particular kind of personality. The strongest personalities have given into it.

Yes. Post the therapy she should definitely think whether she wants to continue living with maa beta. Bijoy should pitch in to show the right direction to his daughter.

I have a friend who got married some five years ago ...she faced many problems in the first two years itself. Her mother advised her to hold and have patience as things would work in some more years. Nothing has changed as of now ...coz you can't change the basic nature of a human. Now the same mother is encouraging her daughter to let go. It's useless to hold onto such relationships. Love is nothing without respect and trust.
