Totally agreed esp after watching today’s episode

From a guy’s perspective it’s not easy. He grew up in that environment and now if he starts to change things his mother will take offence. And he knows his mother has suffered a lot to raise him. He knows she is wrong but he doesn’t know how to contradict her without hurting her feelings. We always think it’s the woman who sacrifices and it’s a woman who makes compromises and this is 100% true but u can’t deny it’s not always easy for the man. He is staying under the same roof as his parents and while he needs to ensure his wife feels comfortable in a different environment he also needs to ensure his parents don’t feel things have changed for them. Elderly folks also have insecurities. Y do we expect them to be perfect always? We are not for sure. It’s not all black n white and that’s what this show depicts. I am not justifying Dev but it’s not easy for him either

In the entire story Dev is my fav character , entire life he try to please every one in the family and failed .

He accept people as they are ( family) but no one really understands him.

Like none of the characters are perfect may be Dev has a lot of shortcomings that is the way he was brought up , he never hide it too.

Now that Devakshi is married , having children it better to forgive each other , and love their children and be kind to elders !

Dev has a lot of dark side , he is a very complexed character that is why I like that character the most .

He is not perfect , perfection is boring

If krpkab has to be protested than what to say about other shows where they show extra marital affairs without any accountability...how many Anupamas we have in our society ..

I bet we have so many Devs Sonakshis and Ishwaris around us ..if only we could to know them

My marriage is one such example and many women like us who want our stories to come out atleast once on screen and I feel happy makers have taken such a topic which never gets explored Our Itv is just for unrealistic romance EMAs first or second wife tracks or full fledged vamps who come out like zombies.

Our ITV stories are big disappointment and for me who has gone through similar emotions like Sona this show is a blessing.

I agree it shd be told to society. But makers shd not justify such act. Don't show such things winning all the time. It is regressive to accept such things.

I am not justifying anything here but what if destiny makes u to face or live with such people.

This doesnt mean I havent explored any options to leave my marriage ..or I am telling u should make ur relationship work no matter what happens to u but relationships are very complicated and cant be ended just like that

I feel, destiny is in our hand. You can mould it how you want.

in such situations ungli theda karna padega. You too do some drama n try to get work done on your way. Don't b submissive like sona. If required go for thod pod. What they will do. Even they will b scared of their reputation. They will not take you granted. But if they are physical abusive, better you leave that house. Always keep in mind that financial independence is very important, be it house wife or working. It is very important.

Here esh send dev bcoz she can't face sona. It was in sona's hand to rebel it. She could just gave back to dev n esh saying they don't hv any rights to do anything without her knowledge. She could just give them back. In that case, probably dev n esh would think twice before doing anything. But here sona is submissive. So, it is sona's fault too. I feel if she had rejected n shouted for the name change, n create drama of thod pod, I don't think dev n esh would go further into it. If dev wants to throw her out, take children n go out. Atleast children will feel safe.

But it is not ok if your children are suffering from this. We can understand abt wife bcoz she is considered outsider. But for his children too he can not stand. Parents are not just man or woman. They protect n nourish them. They will not tolerate even smallest wound. And here he is not uneducated like his mother. He is educated n travelled around world. He knows what is right or wrong. You cannot put his irresponsibility on his parvarish. It is his sheer weekness n shd not be justified.

The mother is problematic but I think the show is depicting situations which are close to reality. I am not married but I have heard of my friends talk about their mother in laws and how their husbands don’t take a stand. There are also situations where the guy is trying to balance things. Well if Ishwari is an extreme I don’t find Sonakshi’s dad being a saint either. Certainly not a devil but his my way or high way attitude is annoying. Always pinpointing at Dev. Not saying he should ask Sonakshi to put up with all the crap being thrown her way. But a lot of problems have been solved by a healthy communication. Dev should take a strong stand and put his foot down for good. I won’t say Ishwari is evil but she is rigid.

Yes. Bejoy shd hv been saying jee huzoor bcoz his submissive daughter married to dev. Ofcourse dev can call Mr. Bijoy, budda..very loving words you see..😆

At least here bijoy is treating him like his family and giving good advice. If my father was in his place, may b he would not hv seen his face and talking is far far away..after getting that sweet thappad..

And to hv healthy communication SIL shd know to give respect too.

I think you should watch them or if you don't want to here's a little run down of what all bijoy had to deal with.

1. Dev slapped bijoy (by mistake keh lo but it was a proper slap in front of everyone) yeah and bijoy cried like a baby because this was days after Dev and bijoy were sitting and sharing drinks lovingly. His trust was broken he loved Dev like a proper son..

Dev also mocked this 7 years later where bijoy was visibly scared Dev might slap him again. Since the day Dev slapped bijoy he hasn't called him Baba as far as I can remember.

2. Dev never properly apologized for slapping him. Idk bro how you can do that. Imagine sonakshi slapping ishuwari. And then mocking it, and then proceeding to call her Mrs Dixit.

3. Dev didn't stand up when his family called him Chor even though it was a misunderstanding and Dev was the only one who could sort it.

4. Bijoy was asked by Dev to not reveal about the prenuptial papers ishuwari made. This was also a reason why they broke up.

5. Dev disrespected bijoy in his house after having left sonakshi for 7 years, knowing he might be the reason they were thrown on the actual streets.

6. Bijoy's whole jamapunji his house was bought by Dev's company which Dev was aware of.

There's a lot more but I think that's the jist.

I low key think sonakshi is stupid to go back to a man such as this.

I am not saying what Ishwari is doing is right and neither am I saying Dev shouldn’t speak up. He should but he should also do it in a way which doesn’t feel disrespectful either. In between caring for Ayush, taking care of his family that includes managing his mom and wife it’s not easy for him either. That’s all I am saying.

In Dev's defence he didn't want to it just happened. But it's his behaviour afterwards that makes it so so much worse.
