Agree. We have not expected this.
What I dislike the most is the way Ishwari's character is being justified. I really did not like the way she questions Sonakshi about her motherly instincts for Ayush. I also dislike the way Dev stays quiet knowing the fact that his mom is wrong.
This is not the first time, every season they want to justify Ishwari's action. This whole concept of mother being made to look larger than life and bigger than god status is kind of very irritating. The reality is her behavior doesnt personify her words.
I was hoping to see some change in the way Dev and Sonakshi's relationship has matured with in the years but here nothing changed. Hence when I see Dev and Sonakshi's romance I feel something is missing.
I never expected for this season to be at par with Season 1. S1 was a gem and it's just not possible to recreate the magic. So I am not disappointed that this season is not as good as S1.
Yes I really wish that they wouldn't have come up with this entire Ayush fiasco and figured out some other way to show distance. Infact Dev and Sona already had that something missing front he start of the season. I wish makers would have played with that and kept it real. Because it's very common for couples to start taking each other for granted after 10 years of marriage.
But I'm not disappointed that we aren't getting enough Devakshi romance or the character arc. We already knew front he promos that this season is taking about the distance between Dev Sona and how they overcome it. So there was no point of romantic scenes for a good time. And as far as characters are concerned, there will be a change. 10 years have passed and everyone changes in such a long time. And no matter how much you improve, basic character doesn't change. Ishwari's basic nature is to be interfering, insecure and think of herself as best. But this season, she is not insecure about her son. She has accepted Sonakshi as her daughter-in-law, so it's not like we lost all the developments from last 2 season.
Of you look closely, the essence of the characters are same. Dev is still clueless, in his own world kind, trying to balance between so many things and Sonakshi is the most sensible of the three protagonists.
So to sum it up, this season is not flawless like S1. But it's still much better than alot of shows ever made and I'm willing to wait for the future plot. I trust the makers here and every now and then I can see the magic of earlier seasons.
It's not that i dont like it
but tell me what progress the show has made in last 3 weeks?
3 weeks back it was ayush and his parents feeling lost
its the same 3 weeks after it
I got a glimpse of the Krpkab that I used to love in the last episode (06/08/2021). I loved it! 😍
When Season 3 started, the whole situation of Ayush and Suhana being swapped at birth seemed odd. I mean it's not something that happens everyday to everyone. But maybe the writers wanted to explore a drastically different angle of motherhood through this incident. Sonakshi being a mother to Suhana, who is not her daughter by birth; to Ayush, her son who got separated at birth; and Shubh, who was born and brought up in perfectly normal circumstances. Sonakshi's experience of being a mother is drastically different from that of Ishwari.
I wasn't sure how the story would pick up after Ayush came home to a possessive Ishwari, with Dev-Sonakshi were not communicating well, and Suhana being mean to Ayush. But Friday's episode made me hopeful. Ayush's innocent question to Dev in the car, the way he offered him a tissue, the last understanding smile Ayush gave to Sona. The scenes were bliss. 😍
The things I didn't like this season are almost the same things that I did not like in S1 as well. Like, Ishwari being over-possessive/overbearing, Dev being clueless and obhodro lol, and the new family member being blamed and cornered. Krpkab S1 also had few dramatic episodes post marriage and post leap despite being a magical journey.
I would love to watch more magical episodes like the Friday's episode this new season. Somewhere this season also has the potential to be magical. But it also has ample chances of turning thoroughly dramatic. Depends on the treatment of the story. But for now, I am eager to see how things move forward.
