This thing was bothering me too...earlier we used to discuss how Sha's fans only care abt ship n they don't respect his work...its happening again. Some on twitter Insta are being very vocal abt it to the point of bashing. Some are feeling uneasy abt it...they want to support Sha wholeheartedly but finding it difficult to let go of Devakshi n KRPKAB so soon. We know BD does well with casting n creating amazing scenes...so journey just becomes harder from here. But my observation atleast abt the adda members...we got adjusted to the situation so quickly compared to fans twitter Insta.

Shaheer wasn't as attached to Dev as we have built up in our heads. He did no qualms in changing the look of the original Dev to shoot his movie. The shabby version of him with the long hair that we hated was not 'Dev', and they tweaked the show around to fit his changing looks into the show post leap. And when he could do an intense love story in the form of his Indo movie while shooting for krpkab, why do we expect him not to take up another show immediately after. The season 2 of Krpkab, primarily suffered because Shaheer did not negotiate with Antv and wanted to do both. This isn't to say he is at blame here, he is an actor and has priorities set which is fine but Dev did not mean the world to him and he isn't as bothered about fans who are highly invested in Devakshi. The PH is just pleased that they have a very popular actor who is willing to work with them again and can carry the show on his shoulders without having to rope in other popular (read expensive) actors as well. How well this strategy of making the show a male centric one will work, time will tell since the tv industry audience is mainly comprised to woman and prefer stories revolving around the FL. So they are attempting something new here by focusing on him and hence Shaheer is overjoyed and very pleased to work with them. Erica cannot be his counterpart yet again in a show where her emotions and path are not chalked out and her acting skills are wasted just like S2 and yet has to put in more hours than him even if they are dating.

If Erica had gotten a part like this in a BD show we wouldn't have cribbed. Fact. Simply put, because she worked extremely hard, was accommodating, shined in a show with actors who are much older in age and experience and has stood up multiple times in lieu of Shaheer who has been in the industry for much longer without a twinge of care if she gets bashed or judged for it. And we can see how how he has gone from a khadoos, angry young man to a person who has so much patience and calmness in his demeanor. All this, while no one so far has stood up for her, or made her workload easier or have appreciation for her at the end of it all apart from Shaheer. And we have barely seen what she can do with a powerful script where she is the focal point. So if BD had given her a new show, I can say with surety, that I would have lapped it up.

1. I guess Sha is the first one to pick up project, hence fans questioning he moved on from KRPKAB and Devakshi whereas fans are still stuck. If Eri had selected project before Sha, she wud be targeted too.

2. Most fans have issues bcoz its d same PH...and am 100% sure if PH had picked up only Eri n selected different male lead, Eri wud have received similar backlash coz fans are complaining PH promised them Sharica together. But since fans already presume PH n Eri have issues, hence additional bashing.

3. Like it will be difficult to watch Sha's offscreen bonding with his co-star. ..I think it will be even more difficult in seeing Eri cutely give her trademark punch to some other actor. Its just that Sha's show is coming first, hence more talk abt Sha's n co-star. Also Sha is friendly with everyone whereas Eri is more reserved atleast on sns.

4. Most important factor as per my observation is that Sha is part of so many ships as he has done many shows..most of these shippers are very aggressive n vicious and everyone knows for sure new ship will start soon, hence backlash from multiple ships fandom who become insecure with every show. Whereas Eri has only Sharica shippers...hence less insecurity abt her as of now. Insecurity abt Eri will only increase as she does more shows.

When Sha was shooting for his movie n SP was also busy in some other project, they shud have focussed on Sona'a past 7 years ...instead they kept on building plot centered around Dev n Ish to the point of being illogical n inconsistent. They did not even resolve events that led to Devakshi separation. One fine day Sona n Bose fam and writers forgot Dev made Bose fam homeless n Sona runs to propose Dev without even finding out the truth. They made Dev cry in every episode and made Sona look cold n unemotional in comparison . S2 toh I guess Eri did for Vidvaan otherwise there was nothing for Sona to do.
