The first para is something i resonate with. Just don't think he would be as supportive as she is and perhaps that's just their nature. But Carmilla, the celebs you mention, without getting into the intricacies of their lives, I'd have to wonder why bother what people think in the first place? Yes the girl gets shammed and has shit wriiten about her but that doesn't really validate the couple needing to come out putting their career at stake. The entertainment world is obsessed with singlehood and actors are certainly prone to preserve that image of availability until hitched to cash in on the popularity. There are exceptions to this rule who do phenomenally well too but the trend doesn't support this and perhaps us common folk will never understand it completely unless we become a part of that world where desirability is linked to singlehood.
Ohh I completely resonate with what you wrote above . In fact this singlehood obsession in the industry is so strong and inherent that it is the reason many actors hide their RL status .
In fact , I was watching a web show in Hoichoi site , Bouma detective - where the ML is a superstar who hides his married status from the world fiercely to protect his stardom and the wife understands ! In the end he realized his flaw and made his married status public .
Anyways. my point is , yes many celebs do it , Barun Sobti , Aham Sharma , and many others.
But in the end when they made it public , it automatically stabilizes their SNS status . Plus, Shah is 34 yr old , some day or other he'll get into a formal RL ship n get married n settle down , Erica or no Erica.
And his Indo fan base will have to come in terms with it.
As for being bothered by public opinion , of course they're bothered , so much so that it's irksome 😆 Sharica are in fact obsessed with public opinion about and around them , hence all these hide n seek , Eri's recent post , follow-unfollow etc. etc.
Had they not bothered about public viewing , it'd not have been so complicated for them or for us.
And they certainly don't owe us to make their RL ship public , at this point I even doubt whether even there's one in the 1st place and whether or not I ended up shipping a crack ship.
But if it's friendship, behaving like proper friends will earn them more respect anf stability of public image than this weird behavior that's their current MO.
Jumping to DB, I have written my two cents about her several times and will reinterate one of my posts here. Sha was a single mother, recently divorced with a tarnished past and had an exponentially growing number of bashers. Shaheer (from my read of him) seems to have fallen in love with the image of her that she presented of her sob story and decided to be her knight in shining armor. The open PDA was to prove a point that he was on her side and would not hesitate to date a woman with a past like hers and 'save' her. Then ofcourse the mirage broke and he saw her for who she was and stopped defending her. But his core personality is to keep things private. With Erica, she has taken on the knight in shining armour role and thereby he has no need to support in her public which irks us. But my peeve is Erica is a human being at the end of the day, and some acknowledgement to her in public wouldn't hurt and he just refuses to do so! Hope I haven't flown completely off tangent here! Cheers :P
