Lovely chapter. Sonakshi's silent support gave Dev so much solace & comfort. Also loved the way Dev was so sensitive to her feelings & that he was willing to fight all the odds, with her beside him.

Awesome update!! Looking forward to how you take the story forward, loving the mature take on Devakshi:)

After the break..

D: what's this year. I came here to draw some strength from you. But my strong girl is nowhere to be seen... .

He tried to change the mood.. He caressed her cheek to remove the stains of tears.. .

The gesture itself melted her..

S: haan how can I be strong when my Superman looks unkempt, worn out and shabby.. She took his hand from her cheek and kissed inside of his palm..

D: (laughed softly) superMan .. I could n't even understand the inner turmoil of my own mother like an ordinary man. Here you are comparing me to the super man.. .

Sonakshi caught the utter helplessness in his voice..

S: it's not your mistake.. It's..

Dev interrupted..

D: don't dare to blame yourself . You are always hinting me about maa's disapproval. But I couldn't see that and blissfully wandering in my own heaven..

Their coffee arrives.. They silently had it- immersed in their own thought..

S: how is Nikki.. Sonakshi asked breaking the silence..

D: she terrified by the happenings. Today after the discharge - even for a minute she hasn't left maa's side. She was asking for u frequently. I lied that u have gone to health camp out of the city and out of reach.

Sona's heart went out to the poor little girl.

S: shall I call her?

D: from when did u need my permission?? Dev chided her..

S: no, I mean if she asked me to come to the house what should I answer?

Dev's heart skipped a beat..

It's not a single question actually.she was asking about the future of their relationship.she was asking about her place where she stood now in his life..

Dev stared at her without blinking. .

How can he tell her- the home in which they weaved beautiful dreams together -was unwelcoming her now..
How can he express the people whom she loved as her own- now busily blaming her for the mishap..

"Your hands r always clasped in ishwari's hands. U suddenly snatched yours and left her alone" maamaji 's words..

"Maa was afraid of losing her place to sonakshi in your life bhai" -Neha

"No need to call her Nikki . Dev is with me. I don't need any other doctor" maa's relieved words on hearing sonakshi was unavailable..

And lastly "I told na jiji bangalan is a Kaala chaaya" remembering maamiji words Dev clenched his fists in anger..

Sonakshi observed his facial expressions.Pain-angust-hurt-anger .. And the colors of his face are fastly draining.. He became pale.. .

That's all she could take..

Without bothering about the audience and the surrounding she went and hugged him in a swift motion.

As Dev was sitting- his face reached near her heart. Sonakshi grabbed him more into her as if giving him all her warmth. He clung to her as if his life was depended on the hug.

"I'm with u. We will face it. I am here.. Don't worry" she was mumbling something like this.. .

"I'm sorry sonakshi. I couldn't give 'happily forever' - fairytale love story as you dreamt" he sounded like a loser..

"Shhh.who wants a fairy tale when they have a real prince Charming like you" she moved a little cupped his face and winked at him playfully through the unshed tears..

Not prepared to lose her warmth he grabbed her waist and hugged her again. He could clearly hear her heartbeats which rhythematically matched his..

Every other noises of material world faded..
Every other disturbing thoughts vanished..

He felt peace.. He felt home..

"I LOVE YOU SONAKSHI.. I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU " were the only words he could utter after several minutes..

Wow..What a lovely story.. Read all the 3 parts at once and after reading how I wish that if only the makers had shown the story like this we would have got a beautiful story but alas that was not to be.

Please continue writing, it's providing the much needed solace.

Beautiful update:) This is turning out to be so much in sync with the Dev and Sona of the first 100 episodes. Please update the next part soon...

Loved reading it...very emotional. Dev n Sona so matured like the first promo where Dev talks abt breaking up n Sona says - Even I will not say anything..tum samajh jaana. This really sounds better than how it was depicted in the show.

@Cspcheziyan It is a very difficult to write a story which is handled in a mature and realistic way which is gripping and exciting without going overboard...
