Diwali wishes to everyone!😃

As I see the episodes of Season 2, I realised how magical things cannot be recreated. With all honesty, I need to admit that I haven't even watched all of season 2's episodes. Not that they were bad but I just couldn't feel the connect, that urge to watch the show.

The moment I saw one episode where none of Devakshi's scenes were together, but instead with Body doubles, I stopped watching.

Because it was like a jolt to me . .that oww! Devakshi is not real!

I strongly think that BDs are a turn off. I mean how can you imagine any other man standing infront of Sonakshi and Sonakshi pretending its Dev😆 Just doesn't work for me, specially when it gets too obvious!

Its for the same reason, I had quit watching some of my favorite shows when the leads got replaced. The character dies then and there for me. I know it may be shallow watching for some. . Who have keen eyes on the story line and plot. But don't you think, the story and scripts are also modified to suit the absence /presence of actors?

Anyhow, This post is definitely not about how Season 2 wasn't upto the mark. .but how Season 1 was so beautiful, it was impossible to recreate it!

I was watching some random episodes only yesterday. . And I was smitten by Dev Dixit and Sonakshi Bose once again

The simplicity, the subtlety of the potrayal they did was amazing! Every show is OTT for me after KRP😆

I just wish they hadn't changed the entire crew specially the writers (Durjoy, Raghuvir Shekhawat etc).

Changing the writers makes them lose the trademark touch of the show.

It remains alright on the superficial level because obviously the new ones are nicely acquainted with the characters. . But everyone would agree that the writing style varies from person to person and no two writers can depict the same emotion in an identical manner.

I think this is where Season 2 never became as popular as 1. It is good, we can see Devakshi's life moving ahead (or their BDs) but it is not magical! Not spellbinding.

Still, I would like to congratulate the entire team for giving us the show again. . Thanks to this show, we learnt that we should never force what is not meant to happen.

My teacher once said when I was unable to clear medical entrance in first go

"Beta, Don't force things. If it is not happening, it ain't in your destiny. And it means it is most suitable for you. If you force yourself and reach somewhere you aren't meant to be . .You won't be happy"

I may not agree to this always. . But I find it suitable for KRP.😃

I fully agree to you, the magic /charm/bliss was not in krp 2, Each epi in season 1 had the urge to watch again and again. If at all you missed the episodes it would be like that we lost something thats not the same with krp2. Even though the content, actors was really good but the magic was not back. Any how I appreciate all the krpkab 2 team for bringing it back to their utmost possible. I think our expectations was too high especially the KPRAB 2 promo was outstanding.

season 1 was a masterpiece and not only season 2 also s3 s4 s5 ... s100 nothing can replace it .

I agree with you... S2 has definitely not been as good as S1. It's been a good season and the topics selected were very good but I feel the execution wasn't upto the mark. Like S1, even S2 hasn't been OTT, the subtlety is still there but somehow the magic is lost. I don't know the exact reason but the show has definitely lost its magic.

Having said all this, I still rate this show higher than most shows on TV. It's still way better than most things being presented on TV but then KRPK's competition was always with itself and this season has lost to it's previous season.

It's the last week coming up so please do post a bit more frequently. I was always a silent reader of your posts and really liked them. I'm sure the episodes next week will be decent and so would love to see your posts.

Bang on post Saumiee. Don't know exactly what it is, but I got detached from S2 just after watching 3 or 4 episodes and the BDs had a big role to play in that. But all said and done,the first 100 episodes of KRPKAB were pure magic and it's difficult to match up to that quality even for KRPKAB itself. Those episodes were superb and have a high recall value, nothing can match that up.

And totally agree. . The team should be appreciated for bringing in a show which was totally shut down. . To bring back a show with the same cast in such a short notice is commendable!

Yes the promo, even the tracks were lovely. . But somehow the cast had a tough time managing schedules.

Oh yes! I couldn't agree more on what you said. . . Even in its 'not so good' phase, KRP does stand out from other shows. Sadly, season 1 had set such high standards even for itself that Season 2 failed to reach that benchmark even with the same characters.

I so agree with each and every word. I was such an ardent viewer of the show, yet I stopped watching it now. The other day I saw some clips of how Dev and Sona used to talk late at night, having coffee on his car's bonnet, before the confession. And it was so beautiful! The raw emotions that are so relatable, How the girl tries her best to look she came straight outta bed, yet makes sure to put lipstick on😆. Any girl in that situation would do the same.

Season 1 was a masterpiece and I don't know if any show will be this beautiful, ever. Also the pairing was sooo perfect. Shaheer and Erica nailed it.

And for season 2, they just went against the tide which made things worse. And to top it the body doubles just ruined everything.

But the original and real season 1 is the best of all daily soaps, especially the first 120 or so episodes. I would literally almost cry with them, and always laugh with them. Devakshi will always be remembered!

Yeah, detachment - is the right word. The execution has a big role to convince the viewers just enough about the characters being real, so as to involve them. Season 1 excelled in that. . Viewers from all fields came forward to express their views, negative and positive. . Only because they cared about the characters or what they portrayed.

Did you know that RS whom many of us thought was the reason for Saas-Bahu sort of flavour in the show. .was the one who singlehandedly wrote until the famous Devakshi Confession😳 Trivial na😊
