But all said and done, the first 100 episodes of KRPKAB were pure magic and it's difficult to match up to that quality even for KRPKAB itself. Those episodes were superb and have a high recall value, nothing can match that up.

Me to add!

First 100 episodes was above magic
Next 100 - 200 was really above the extraordinary.
200 Plus to Shubs arrival was great, but the magic was not in season 2. But still the worthiness is above serials of TV industry. Watching ek diwana tha but that could not catch me.

Spot on Suma!
"Still the worthiness is above serials of TV industry"-This just summed it up. I would still prefer KRPK 2 anyday over other shows.

I too tried Ek Deewana Tha but it's just too dramatic for my liking.

Agree first 100 episodes were totally magic.
Krpkab 2 is nothing in front of it .
I also tried EDT but it was tooo much dramatic.

Many of us here would agree to that. Dev, Sona and other characters felt like our own. They were so well etched out and that was the biggest win. The superb cast being the cherry on the cake. I haven't ventured into watching anything else in the Hindi fiction space and won't anytime soon. KRPKAB has spoilt me now:)

@saumiee, it is such a pleasant surprise to read your post... Really missed reading them... Hopefully, there will be some more in the coming week...

I completely agree with you that season 2 is good... Definitely better than what surrounds it but it pales when we compare it with season 1... And, the main reason for it is the lack of DevAkshi in it...

To be more clear, we see a lot of Dev and Sona, but unfortunately, we don't see the DevAkshi that we have grown accustomed to... In some ways, we have been spoilt and now, this is the reason for all of us, to not enjoy these episodes...

For me, the heroes of this season are the writers (and the team diligently working behind the scenes), to come up with a story that could handle the unavailability of the actors, especially Shaheer... They have not been completely successful, but what they have been able to produce, needs to be applauded...

Also, I feel, despite the challenges, the actors especially, Shaheer and Erica needs to be also be given their due credit for all the efforts and their dedication to this show...

I have always said it that DevAkshi are special because of their subtlety... They might not be overtly physical or vocal, but the magic lies in way that their bodies react when they are with each other... It is amazing to see them being so expressive, without a single word being spoken...

Let's take yesterday's episode, for an example...

This was the second time when KRPKAB celebrated Diwali... Last year, I can still clearly remember the Diwali episode... It was an amazing episode with a lot of classical DevAkshi moments...

Like, the scene where Dev and Sona lights up diyas and Dev's eyes are only at Sona... Or, when Dev says to Mamaji, how proud he is of Sona...

But, the most memorable scene for me, was when Sona lays her head on Dev while she is sleeping and how Dev's fingers caressed her face, hoping that he could always keep her happy...

Not only during pre-leap, but even after post leap, we got some unforgettable scenes like Dev's heart rending confession to Sona (when Mamiji accidentally spiked Dev's drink) or the scenes where Dev lays his head on Sonakshi's lap, whenever he was in duress...

This is the Dev and Sona, that we have grown accustomed to and cherish... These are the moments why we became so attached with this show and why DevAkshi and KRPKAB became our addiction or obsession...

And, now compare it with what we saw in this season...

Yes, there have been some good DevAkshi moments, but that was only in the first few episodes... Diwali celebration came and went away, with no DevAkshi moments to speak of... Due to the lack of time and scheduling problems, writers were forced to come with scenarios and situations where our beloved couple are not even in the same place, let alone in the same frame...

This season is good and due to circumstances, something that is supposed to remain a constant in the world of KRPKAB has become a variable or just a wish...

I see these episodes and enjoy them, because this is my way of saying a 'Thank You' to everyone that has put their heart and soul into this show and for all the good memories that they have given us...

-Suyash.

P.S: I know that the coming week is the last time, we will ever meet Dev & Sona... I just hope that we get to see some actual DevAkshi moments...

Agreeing with you totally word by word Saumiee. After the first 2 episodes, it was clearly obvious that S2 was brought back only for two purposes - one just to calm down the agitated viewers and secondly as a filler till PPK S2 comes back. So, though there might be many genuine reasons that has affected the storytelling & execution, it doesn't help to overlook the makers disinterest in this season two.
But, one thing that stands out in this season is the acting part of the actors. In S1, it was mostly the give & take and chemistry between the actors that enhanced their acting, which might not help to gauge the acting prowess of the actors. But in S2, the use of body doubles or sometimes imagining the other person there and delivering the dialogues has indeed brought out the fact on how real each of them can act. And I should say, all of them, including the kids have done a very good job and that is the one reason I still watch KRPKAB, along with the efforts the cast & crew have taken to satisfy their fans. I would repeat it again. Only the cast & the crew deserves the appreciation in bringing back the show, because they are the ones who didn't have any selfish motive behind it and inspite of their other commitments agreed to give their time for it.

Agree the first 2-3 episodes was on the charm, but later it decreased. On top of that they are giving frustrated scenes of Ronita - Sourabh, infact Elena-Vicky scenes were much better and to add the body doubles- all not being in one frame also declined the charm. I don't blame the actors or the CVs for this they made the best. But the charm and magic was not able to grib the audience. I think our expectation was also too much.

Hey saum... Long time no see... Did u go into hibernation or what??😆 Just stopped by the forum and saw ur post. Therefore, I couldn't control myself from commenting here.
Well, I had stopped watching after the engagement fiasco but watched the last week of season 1 and 2 episodes of season 2.

The reason why season 1's first 120 episodes were class apart
  • rationality and logic in scenes
  • consistency in story-line
  • equal contribution of characters to the story-line
  • relate-able characters
  • good editing
  • exquisite direction
  • no BD's😡
Did u see any of this in season 2??

You know KRPKAB season 2 has helped me to move on. I don't worry about the show anymore lol. It had its journey. Some things will always be like what if...But I understood it is all writing. I really believe in the power of creatives and writers now. Actors can hold you to a limited extent. It is the essence of the story which moves you. Offcourse KRPKAB was like some once in a blue moon magic, where every thing was almost perfect. I mean while watching it I never thought oh they are acting, it's a set.
Also, from KRP experience I learnt that fans are fans. They can bring a show back. But can't save the show's quality. So will refrain from worrying over a show. Lol. But you never know.

I dont like season 2 either barely any devakshi scenes body doubles and separate shots even for diwali they didnt do anything together
frankly I only watch season 2 for devakshi im not interested in soha and golu is cute but not the reason I watch the show
season 1 devashi were the star, in this season the only star is shubh
creatives are not incorporating devakshi scenes and even sharica seem too busy to shoot together
