Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi : Mistakes Galore On Day 1 Of Dev's Parent Trial!

Good evening everyone! It's going to be a Dev appreciation post today. Reason? Because I believe in encouraging people who try to do something new rather than taunting or discouraging them. Dev took time to even become a good lover and a good husband, at least he has fared well as a father since the time he came to know that he is a father. Anyway, without cribbing further, here's some tit bits from the episode -

Dev Dixit - Liar Liar, Pants On Fire!

Dear Dev,

You are a businessman. And business can't be conducted on white sheets everytime. Shades of black will be there. Life can't be always black or white. Grey shades will always be there.

A good businessman is always a good manager. And a good manager is a good manipulator and a good manipulator will always be good in two things - Convincing and Diplomacy.

Honestly speaking, if your words aren't convincing, you can't be good in business. Every businessman, no matter what he sells later, the first thing he or she sells is words.

Trust me, even I do the same with my readers everyday. I sell words and they buy them because most probably they find my words convincing.

But then tha's the art of business. It can be applied to convince clients, partners, buyers, sponsors but it should not be applied on a teacher in front of the little kids, who may think that if their daddy dearest can lie to the principal to convince him, then why can't they?!

Suhaana and Golu aren't big enough to differentiate between white lies and black lies. They will just end up lying if such an example is put forth in front of them.

But then you know what's sad Dev? No one did tell you today the way we did it here. Everyone did jump on you, including Bijoy, for being wrong. It's just plain sad that you are judged and shouted upon so easily and immediately on every occasion.

It was your Day 1 as a father taking care of his children, and everyone just accused you rather really did supporting you whole heartedly.

P.S:- The office scene of Devakshi was surely adorable. We have seen many wives talking lunch boxes for their husbands during lunch hours at offices and spend 30 mins of romantic time together on screen. Now seeing a father dropping off children at school and also dropping by to see his wife at office before returning back to the children was something fresh to watch and equally appealing.

Bijoy Bose - Papa Piper, Who Is Always Hyper!

Dear Mr. Sasur Ji,

I didn't understand one thing. If Dev didn't reach school and wasn't picking up the phone, why were you standing outside the school with your grandchildren? You could have taken them to your house or you could have dropped them to Dev's house.

But no. You chose to keep standing there, sweat yourself as well as the children, give a disturbing call to Sonakshi and later burst at Dev on seeing him there the very instant.

I didn't get the logic behind standing for hours for Dev outside the school with children, one of whom, is hurt as well.

Anyway, they say fish increases your intelligence. So that fish made by Asha rang the bell inside your head you decided to have 'a man to man' talk with Dev.

But I didn't really see you doing that! Instead I saw a wholly irritated man ready to jump his gun at Dev.

Why can't you talk to your son in law decently without getting drunk? The only time you behave in a friendly manner with him is when you are drunk and not in your senses. 'Musoorie ki kasam sasur ji, ab to sudhar jaao!'

You showed much confidence in him and was ready to get into a bet with your wife too. But what you are not getting is, just like it took you time to control your temper with time, Dev will take time to become the 'perfect' father you are wanting to see in him.

You see, Ishwari is the kind of mother who never let Dev learn how to cook Maggie. Because she was busy feeding him halwa all the time. You should be happy he learnt how to change diapers faster than probably you did.

A person who doesn't know how to cook Maggie, very well knows how to feed his infant and that should be appreciated.

P.S:- Bose babu, did you see how your son in law has saved your number on his phone? It's Bijoy Boss! Suits you as per your temper.

Ishwari - A Monk Who Is A Master In Taunt!

Ishwari ji, aap to devi ho! To phir itna taana kyun maarti ho? Monks don't taunt!

It's like a reboot of the old Ishwari for me in certain occasions. And this is the kind of Ishwari whom I can't relate with.

"Papa ko kuch nahi aata!" Who sings that sort of a song to a child? How would she feel if Dev had sung the same song saying, "Daadi ko kuch nahi aata", when she could not handle Shubh when Sonakshi went to office.

The scene wherein Ishwari discovers that Shubh's diaper needs to be changed again, her expressions and words were totally of taunting nature.

She was actually indirectly trying to tell Dev in the beginning how it's a no man's job and later when Dev questioned her, she came to straight answers commenting on nature's different creation of man and woman.

Only if, Ishwari had stopped this taunting business and talked normally or in a sophisticated way like Asha does even while disapproving, she would have probably looked more nice while putting forth her point.

I met a mother today in Ishwari, who was joyous after discovering how her son failed to understand her grandson's reason of being cranky and later gleefully sang :Papa ko kuch nahi aata!". Would she have sung the same for her daughters? Oh wait! They are women, they are supposed to be perfect in changing diapers, which according to some, isn't the department of a man!

We call women "abla" for no reason. Because of these mothers, these men become "abla" over time. Really!

Thank you Jo. It is a beautiful piece of writing and I completely agree with the author's POV. If Ishwari is adamant on citing nature as example for how a woman is the only one who is supposedly capable of handling her young one then she should herself check up on penguins. The emperor penguins life cycle will make her eat her own words. Once the female lays eggs she will go for feeding and will return only after months and until she does it is the male who watches over the egg. If the egg hatches before the female returns he will even feed the baby while not eating anything himself. He will go to feed only after the female returns. The selective hearing and understanding runs in the whole family😆😉

Geena, except Dev, everyone has selective hearing. Boses are no better at listening than Dixits.
