What I don't get her zero emotional reaction to what she heard. She was sitting coolly doing her work when she has just realized Dev never did what she thought he did all this while. There was no regret no tears nothing for what they lost because of machinations of mother & son.

Even I felt sona made some sense. She has forgiven dev who himself thought he was the one to evict boses. And after coming into sense he did nothing to correct mistake. So he was equally responsible if he is not directly involved in this eviction. So for me it made sense when she said it does not matter any more.

If you notice Sona is very forgiving of the tripathis(Mami) & dixits (except Dev). As for the slap there were so many factors that it quickly snow balled into a situation where their egos prevented them from any calm resolution. Also after the infertility disaster Sona was already in a place where she really had put up with a lot.

Dev who is celebrated as being so smart today never bothered to find out did tax kaand sometime back. Also he never investigated who sent the goons to beat him up. He never suspected Vicky till a couple days back.

Basically all the characters have some kind of flip flop at certain parts of the show. Sona was never shown as regressive babu but she did prioritize family over her personal equation with Dev. Communication was lacking then & lacking even today.

OK let me tell u my pov. There is something called as addressing an issue. Vicky needs to be handled with love or by law. So his father and mother have every right to know of his Kaand so they can correct him. Sometimes undeserving forgiveness can only instigate a person to do greater evil deeds. This hiding everything from everyone is not how families should operate. Sona today just paved way for greater evil in Vicky's life. So actually for some trivial moments of pain she is actually giving the triparthi an incorrigible child. I expected more better things from sona since she was touted to be sensible and behaved sensibly at times. This is all telly land convention nothing else. She could have taken dev into confidence and solved the matter. But no she has to do social service and be righteous. She is not at all relatable now.

I believe Sona has forgiven Dev for everything. By not telling Dev, she hasn't forgiven Vicky, in fact she shut him up when he was saying thank u to her. She doesn't want to spoil the family harmony that has been achieved after so many years. Sona has always been like this, held family above everything, even Dev n her relationship.

With Sona, I think there are too many bottled up feelings. She is scared that if she admits them, she'll fall weak. She's scared of even expressing her love openly in front of Dev. 7 yrs being alone has taught her to not let herself get weak. She constantly tries to put up a brave face, and I really wish the makers didn't do that. I wish they'd show us the real Sona who actually gets affected. Who doesn't hold back her feelings.
At the end of this track, I hope they show her opening up. Rather I hope the purpose of this track is for sona to let go of all her pent up emotions.

Many feel that she should have hugged Dev instead of casually talking about coffee. Imagine if she'd break down in front of him, wouldn't he sense that something is wrong? And then she'd have to tell him the truth knowing fully well how he'd react thereafter.
Having said this, I didn't like her scene with mami. when mami went n spoke to her her dialogues just didn't click or connect. She should've said something, anything other than 'vicky bhi is parivaar Ka hissa hai'. She should've atleast told
mami what she Dev soha had to go through for 7 long years because of her son. Atleast shown some hurt.

Again one question what has telling the truth have anything to do with family harmony. She could have confided in ish who constantly tells that sona is her friend. I know she has not forgiven Vicky. My problem is with sona not thinking that letting Vicky go and not making dixits aware of him is putting them in grave danger. Isn't that what Dev did in s1 find temporary solutions. If I felt dev was wrong then then sonakshi is wrong here. It was just regressive storyline and not great story telling. But since she is bahu she will be lauded for her sacrifice and not shown the flaws in her actions. Even erica looks more convincing in bose house scene coz they break stereotypes.

Why would they fight among themselves. Come on a start up owner doesn't have this much intelligence. Sona was never a regressive bahu in the s1 but now she is only that

@bold. Don't you think Sona was always like this though? Do you remember the Dadi bua episodes? The only difference was that back then Ishwari's issues were so glaringly obvious that it was easy to ignore Sona's. Its one of the reasons I rarely connect with the character because this has always been her.

She's always claimed to want honesty but she's never truly been honest. She was upset with Dev for hiding Ronita's mom's theft but she also just as equally hid the truth about Khatri until Khatri forced her hand.

I am just hoping this will finally get Sona to start working with Dev as a team instead of always trying to be this one man show who controls everything.

Because Vicky is Dev's Mama's son. Anything against Vicky can make relations between ishu n her brother n sil sour. And Sona doesn't forgive Vicky, she has warned him against hurting the dixits. As for finding temporary solutions, there is no question of finding a solution since whatever happened, happened 7 yrs ago n now Dev-Sona are together. So the way she says it abhi koi farak nahi padta. She is letting bygones be bygones. But this does not mean she will let vicky harm the family in future. I agree she should've been selfish, and should've told the family about Vicky because in the end she suffered, but Sona never was like that. As someone said here, she has always been forgiving towards the dixits n tripathis except towards Dev. Because she has expectations from him, because only he can hurt her in the truest sense.

And mily, once vicky's software wala kaand comes out in front of the family, sona shouldn't (n I don't think she will) keep quiet. That time, she will surely tell Dev about what happened 7 yrs ago. I'm positive about that.

I hope she keeps to her word. Because Sona did say that if Vicky did anything else to hurt Dev she would not let him go, so hopefully she does say something after the software thing comes out.

i dnt get it why everyone is saying tat writers are focusing on dev every time
but the story is about dev who lost his father at young age and how he will handle between his love and insecure mother
so they are focusing more on dev
