Yes , want to see the normal woman in her. I want to see her strong facade break. I am not against strong women. I have a lot of respect for them. But to portray a strong woman as a person with no emotions is kind of bad.

I am not sure if my post will be liked as many might not like what I am about to say. But will still say it. It is not intended to hurt anyone.
It is very true that it takes time for anyone to recover from such an incident and it is not just what is shown on screen. It can be any type of fear, any scare. But then what Sonakshi was shown doing is her core character, something that she has been taught with her upbringing. The way she has been brought up is to hide her true feelings and be practical all the time. Especially with what happened in the last 7 years has changed her way of doing things. For her it is like if I can deal with being left by Dev, thrown out on the street at night or built her whole company by herself, then this is also one more thing.

This has made her over confident kind of leading her to be able to separate the emotions and handle it practically. For her it is like "yes, I was afraid, but Dev came, nothing really happened, so it's better to forget it. What's the use of remembering it. It's not like it is going to happen again. I am not going to go out late in the night like that or be alone again".

But it is not the same with Dev. Cause he has experienced loss in his life and he has that "fear" of losing. Hence he is behaving the way he is and trying to be protective and wants to keep her safe from all harm.

I also think that this difference in their thoughts is needed for the story to continue especially with Vickky. Vickky has bugged Dev's cabin. Dev said that his win is in her win. And Sonakshi was shown not to be happy with the investor and her "big win" as she feels it is not really based on her abilities. My guess is that she will cancel that contract saying she wants to achieve it based on her potential. Vickky will get this footage and this is what that new guy will use to enter Dev and Sonakshi's life. He will come as a person who has heard of Sonakshi's name as being the best nutritionist and give a proposal. Dev will be against it as he feels there is something fishy. But Sonakshi will take it otherwise. She will think that Dev doesn't trust her talent and competence, so will decide to go ahead with that business proposal.

The last paragraph is my guess, but I feel it is parallel to Dev and her argument when she comes to give back that 4.5cr check. It is just my pov.

Now abt the new track...I am just wondering are we going to end up with...50 shades of "A"Sanskari Dev Dixit ??

I know you girls are very thrilled with this track of a possessive Dev 😉 ...the new entry who is going to eye Sonakshi...again an indirect third angle...Sonakshi starts hating Dev's possessive streak ...will fall for the trap created by Vicky...again back to square one Dev on the verge of loosing Sonakshi because of his flaw in character...

What we will see is one group of Fans will start blaming Sonakshi for not understanding Dev's possessive POV...another group will talk of women's rt and her independence ...blah blah...
PH has touched GOLD ...rather diamond for their TRP...and on line rating...

1) Romance thru Dev's possessiveness - online viewers happy
2) Drama thru the new entry and his eye for Sonakshi and she acting ignorance abt Vicky's planning - ppl watching TV happy...TRP in place...

I keep wondering ...in a love story , how many times will they bring third angles...to prove that these two ppl love each other...first as a blind date , then as a fianc , then as a friend cum business partner...now as a villain...cant a love story prove the love betwn the two with out a third angle...??

For me , I feel the story line is butchered ...but again ...who cares of the story in a serial...

Yeah many will bash Sona today also coz thats their fav past time. They can understand n justify Dev's every action but dnt have patience for Sona's pov.

Anyways why do u think so strongly that negative guy will again be third angle. Looking at that guy really dnt see he wud be interested in Sona or play on Dev's over protective behaviour. I really feel he is thr just for business purpose as spoiler mentioned. He wud steal Dev's latest software n launch frm his own company. Dev wud be busy with Sona so will overlook Vicki's actions.

Agreed...that could be the reason...so such ppl don't they not cry or get scared ...at least accept their fear when they are alone to themselves..??

Somehow these days I am not able to connect to these two...not sure why?? Probably I have a huge expectation from this serial. The best part abt this serial was the story ...but I am not able to relate it anymore...I don't even know why they have Soha in place...she is never around...I wanted to see them as parents and how they face challenges of bring up the lil one ...especially with their diff approach to life...but I guess that wouldn't give them the TRP... 😆

I have a different POV actually. Few years back, I used to work part time at a restaurant where the owner got attracted towards me. Initially, i tried to ignore it, but one fine day, he directly asked me to sleep with him. Although I was scared to death, I called up the cops and asked them whether they could drop me home by just stating that I did not feel safe. I did not show an ounce of fear on my face or actions. Later, when I told my mother about what had transpired, she overreacted and her reaction was quite similar to Dev's. Till date, I get shivers thinking about it but I have never told it to anyone. My Dad isn't even aware about the whole scenario. So, I can definitely understand what must be going on Dev's and Sona's minds.

Speaking from my experience working as a Social work in a child protection field, I think each individual deals with their trauma/shock differently. Each individual have their own coping mechanisms, resilience factors, personal strength, protective factors, community and family supports, which helps them to deal with such incidents. Whereas, a person who have history of trauma and have developed a maladaptive coping strategies, might deal with their feelings about such incidents differently.

Its quite clear that such incident would shook any strong and resilient person, no doubt. Maybe, makers are trying to show that Sona's emotions took back seat when she saw Dev's reaction to the incident. Dev, who have experienced childhood trauma and whose life is still in many ways dictated by his trauma, was affected more than Sona. I hope that's what they are trying to show.

Sona's metaphor about rain and umbrella' is quite relevant to many incidents, as we can't let one incident dictate our life. At the same time, in the world where there is a high rate of rape and physical assault very much prevalent, one can't be too cautious. I just hope makers would give nice social message, instead of using that incident as a prop to change dynamic between DevAkshi.

Just my POV, I do not intend to hurt anyone.

I don't think it's that easy to forget such incidents at all. They would be etched in your memory forever. But Sona must have faced so many difficult situations in her life in the past 7 years which would have given her the strength to face this one as well. Wish they show a conversation like this when Dev would ask Sona why she's so cool about this and she would give an insight into her struggles.
But this is wishful thinking, I don't think the makers would do it. They get immense pleasure in creating fan wars between Team Dev and Team Sona and that creates the necessary buzz for the serial also.

I also feel that Sonakshi reactions and not showing much emotions is her adaptation or coping mechanism. She is truly a very emotional person but the last seven years have toughened her up and she just stops thinking when she encounters negative emotions and does things mechanically. She is deeply affected by Dev but has been careful even after patch up so as to not get too attached. She immersed herself in work and derives pleasure being successful in it.
Though there are many inconsistencies and stupidity too (p ardon) in the way things are presented I am now able to see the story moving and some depth in it in the past few weeks
I found sona's expression stoic after the patch up but I guess that is intentional. There will definitely be an emotional outburst after some time from her and sure we are in for more emotional scenes after a couples of weeks maybe.

Also I think Sona has accepted the need for Dev in her life subconsciously and feels reassured once he is with her. she doesn't realise this consciously though. He has given enough demonstration of his love for her. She has forgiven the past but not forgotten and is treading very carefully

It is also an age thing. When I was younger, incidents like somebody following me home or somebody misbehaving were really terrifying. I remember once in Mumbai, when I was returning from work on bus, there was a very horrible experience with a man physically assaulting me in full public view. I was so terrified that for a month I did not take the same route. But today, as a Mom, I deal with these things very differently. When someone tries to mess with me, I actually get so pissed off that there is no time to get scared. I think it's just that as a Mom, these incidents make me feel that, if such ppl are around what will my child face and that brings our protective side to fore and then bas gussa hi aata hi ki is idiot ko sabak sikhao. I can honestly tell you that I have faced incidents after motherhood too but it does not create that lasting fear that it used to before. I think women have this innate ability to fight their own battles bas ham use pehchan nahi paate but when you have a child depending on your completely, you draw on your strength automatically, without even thinking. With most women this is true.
