U may b rite. But this is a classic case of makers again ignoringg sonakshi's emotions.Originally posted by: Sunshinebhumii
Speaking from my experience working as a Social work in a child protection field, I think each individual deals with their trauma/shock differently. Each individual have their own coping mechanisms, resilience factors, personal strength, protective factors, community and family supports, which helps them to deal with such incidents. Whereas, a person who have history of trauma and have developed a maladaptive coping strategies, might deal with their feelings about such incidents differently.
Its quite clear that such incident would shook any strong and resilient person, no doubt. Maybe, makers are trying to show that Sona's emotions took back seat when she saw Dev's reaction to the incident. Dev, who have experienced childhood trauma and whose life is still in many ways dictated by his trauma, was affected more than Sona. I hope that's what they are trying to show.
Sona's metaphor about rain and umbrella' is quite relevant to many incidents, as we can't let one incident dictate our life. At the same time, in the world where there is a high rate of rape and physical assault very much prevalent, one can't be too cautious. I just hope makers would give nice social message, instead of using that incident as a prop to change dynamic between DevAkshi.
Just my POV, I do not intend to hurt anyone.
