What a lovely Lite hearted episode it was, but one scene actually sparked of a question in my mind and that was when Riya said to her mother that it was Dev who actually needed to apologise, for me it seemed like it was a condition which Riya was putting forward so that the relationship between her and her brother is mended back.
And that brings me to the main topic of this post "Can personal relationships be conditional ?" and if I come to think of it this seems true in terms of Dev's relationships with his sisters. If I think from Dev's perspective then his love for his sisters was always unconditional, he never expected anything from his sisters but does the same hold true for his sisters, unfortunately No. I agree that Dev has made mistake of ignoring his sisters and that cannot be justified but did the sisters ever try to see the pain he was going through. Maybe Nikki was young but Neha and Riya were old enough to understand their brothers pain but yet instead of helping him come out of it they are blaming him for ignoring them. Just because he ignored them when he himself was broken have they forgotten all the hard work and struggle he had gone through so that his sisters can lead a happy life.
I hope the CVs at least explore this part with NIKKI because even though she was young she seemed to understand her brother better than her sisters.

This is just my POV, no offence.

PS - I would sincerely hope that the CVs instead of just putting all the blame on Dev, explore others as well. A relationship cannot be just one way.

They have always remained second best to their mother. Dev was the only father figure they had got. He was never close to them emotionally and catered to their needs without them even saying a word. He knew what they wanted but not what their likes were. Ishwari n Dev always remained a close unit and they always remained on the side lines. Yes it is true that they were not able to help him or relieve him of his pain but then that was kind of expected isn't it? They never knew him except as a provider and the first attempt to forge a bond between them was after Sona came to his life. If for him all the relationships lost its meaning once Sona left him since his family could never find happiness in his happiness he left everything and everyone. He was completely broken to even care. But these girls especially Riya n Nikki who never knew their father lost everything with that. Their mother never cared enough and Neha was the only mother they knew. Once she also left after marriage how lonely these kids might have been. And what was their fault in all this. How difficult it might have been in their sasural when their only brother didn't even care to do the Bidai, call her to ask about how she is? Just like I can understand Dev n how broken he was to have done this to his family whom he would have died for my heart goes out for Riya n Nikki n even Neha.

Just to justify Riya's POV..

Dev might not have done anything wrong with his sisters but he has witnessed Ishwari's upbringing and behavior towards her daughters. She has always been partial towards Dev and the sisters never got their due rights.

Since Dev is the only eldest male member who is sole bread earner for his family, he must take stand against whatever wrong things happening in his family.

He has blindly supported Ishwari whole his life and never balance out things in terms of right/wrong .. good /bad and specially on morality grounds.
If Ishwari was showering Riya's ,Nikki's n Neha's share of love to Dev.. He must stop her and ask her to do what he is right.

Riyaaa Nikki n Neha might not have been able to take stand due to financial insecurity but Dev must have .
Since Dev was at the receiving end of impartial love so he dint speak up.
As a result he lost all his sisters and his wife.
Not Ishwari but Dev is equally responsible for not standing up for what is right or not standing against for what is wrong.
I am totally with Riyaa who feels that Dev is also to be blamed for her situation.

Agreed. I think maybe this track is to make Ishwari realize she should not have been biased towards Dev always.

Ishwari brought up her children in a highly compartmentalized fashion or I should say highly orthodox fashion.

Dev being the son got the lion's share of opportunities and mother's love but was also saddled with all the responsibilities. His job was to take care of everyone, a fact reiterated by ishwari again and again.

The daughter's were supposed to get Marriage ready, get married and be happily settled thereafter. They were always paraya dhan while Dev the core investment.

That is why even when the daughter's could see something wrong happening, they stayed mum. It was not their job to interfere, nor was their advice ever heeded.

Also, as per the mantra drummed in their head since childhood, Dev was the care giver and they were the takers. Giving care or emotional support to Dev was only ishwaris prerogative.

Ishwari had also put up an invisible wall between her children so that the only route was via her.

All these factors led to sister's only having expectations from Dev and totally negating the fact that he was a normal human who felt pain and trauma. Hence they totally overlooked the fact that after his fall out with his wife and mother, their brother had no one to give him emotional support and was sinking into depression.

Instead of understanding and helping him come out of this depression, they went on cribbing about what he was supposed to do for them. Ultimately Dev pulled himself out of this depression by resorting to all sort of wrong measures but a part of him died and hence he didn't make an attempt to contact his sisters even after that.
