A very simple episode after the heavy emotional doses of the last two days. So nothing much to analyse in depth. Only that it brought out the dynamics of Dixit house now.
Ishwari carried on with the grihapravesh rasam. And asked mamiji to hand over the house keys to sona. Now many of you may not agree with me but I too like sona thought this was a rash decision to make. I had cringed while seeing it in the segment too. And today too I felt she might be going a little overboard. Whatever mamaiji has done and will do, that she has handled the house over these seven years cannot be denied. She has no claim to her name barring perhaps this. So I understand her reaction today. Anyone would feel what she felt today. According to me it was only natural. So today I found her tears genuine too. She was hurt that ishwari gave over the keys to her and that too without even talking to her first. So at some level I could understand. Now I will stop taking about her because you guys will kill me for this GKB puran but yes this is what I felt and had to day.
Coming to the actual incident I thought it highlighted the dynamics between the characters as it stood today.
As sona sat with the keys, dev understood that something was bothering her and asked her to share. He says if they don't do this.. Then they have learnt nothing and their decision was a waste. So sona speaks out about how she thinks this was not ishwaris decision to make and that mami would be hurt she she wouod not be comfortable. Dev tried to make her understand first but then seeing her determinee asked her to do what she thought best. Now I loved this exchange here. Whenever there is a conversation among the women of the house dev has always been absent. So I liked that he was being included now. He of course doesn't need to go himself to solve these issues but he needs to be aware and this seemed to be a good start. I just hope they continue this. And sona becomes comfortable enough to share anything with him even when and if she is hurt.
So sona goes and calmly gives back the keys to mami saying that she deserves it more than her. What I liked was thank god she is not taking all this added responsibility on her hands as if she is bahubali. She can learn and take over in time. Knowing sona she will anyways engage herself so this is one thing off her plate. Thank goodness!
She returns to her room and what follows is very indearing. Just what I had thought they are yet not ready to take the next step towards their relationship which is perfectly acceptable. So the initial teasing of Elena, and then dev asking her why she was smiling stayed till there and they took no step to consummate their relationship yet. Of course dev can hardly believe she has come back!
He pulls her beside himself and opens up a little more. That he would sit for hours by the window perhaps waiting for her. He then denied it to even himself for fear of completely breaking apart. But now he can. He was yearning to hear her voice again. And today that he can touch her, hear her he can hardly believe it. So he just wants to listen to her. Following his cue sona too opens up a bit. Sharing with him the story of how soha first said PA and used to repeat it over and over making her jealous. But probably the stress of the last few days and the comfort of his arms engulfs her and she falls asleep. Dev smiled content to have her in his arms. Beautiful simple scene.
The morning scene explored a bit more of ish sona relations. Thank god ishwari showed some other emotion rather than of elation. She was upset and hurt that song have back that keys to mami that too without telling her first. On this point I agreed with ishwari. But with sona I agreed too. She felt that mami was more deserving than her of the keys and she did just that. She apologised for not having told her first making the excuse that she was already asleep. Again a very simple scene but notice certain changes. Ishwari accepted she has been hurt that sona did not tell her. Sona opened up and herself brought up the issue ishu was avoiding and made herself clear. MAMI did not fill ishwari's ears. And ishu understood both her mistake and sona's words. This small conversation of the ladies clearing everything for everyone was good. It was needed. Hopefully they will keep issues clear like this on the future too and not let them fester.
As far as those who didn't like sona doing all this. Just see this was bothering her and it's good she cleared everything up. Yes she could have done it in the morning but she is sonakshi and some habits perhaps never change. It's something you have to accept as her character just like dev's impulsiveness. But again as I said I liked it because it's one responsibilty less. She doesnt need to handle everything from the day she comes. In fact I liked how the episode was kept away from the shadows of the past. And meant for just devakshi and their new life. I think thats what everyone wanted. And I hope this trend continues even with riya's issue...of clear cut conversations between the trio. I don't want her hiding anything from anyone. Let's see.
P. S how pretty sona looked today no. Perfectly fitting her body. Very nice a slight relief. And waiting for some devakshi moments. Just balances episodes like today's.
