This is what happens when writers are pressured to cater to the fan base. Most of the fans were so desperate for the reunion that they were willing to let many issues remain unresolved. Dev and Sonakshi should have discussed the last seven years before reuniting. If they had done that there would have been no room for any misunderstanding. I am a very big fan of the show and I know I am one of the few who wasn't too happy about the whole reunion. They could have gone step by step. Dev slowly winning Sonakshi's trust and her love.
