I think after sona saved ishu from khatri and cleared the misunderstandings, ishu finally accepted sonakshi is a good person but was awkward to consider her as part of her family and dev's life. This dinner is more of ishwari's true realisation that sonakshi is the true fit in their family and in dev's life.
