True that. Sona being the doormat that she is, can dance around happily being a doormat finding happiness in being manhandled and lied and bullied, I could care less anymore 😆 All I have to do is choosing a better story and character to follow (may be like Devasena from Bahubali 2) who has her dignity and pride in place irrespective of the 'lau' crap 😆 There are lots of shows (in fact some youth shows as well) which focus on the importance of self-respect and honour than this show where the woman is expected to go extra length to 'not' create a scenario where the poor poor guy has to choose between mommy and her and thus being the saviour of the entire family. Utter regressive for my taste :D . So have already detached myself from this 😆 Only reading updates and that too only cuz of Bose family 😉

As Ashwathy has pointed out in one of her post, Kuch Rang Pyar ke aise bhi hai., chaahe vo rang curiosity ka ho ya indifference ka ho..how much ever you want to detach yourself from KRPKAB, you are not being able to do it. That's why for whatever reason, you are still reading the written updates...And that's the beauty of KRPKAB...😊

Grace- I really appreciate your sweet posts and your focus on creating a lively atmosphere in the forum.
Its true that I started watching for a love story and really liked the initial gentle manly Dev and his winsome ways. Even when he was being mean to Sona by taking away her job etc, there was certain amount of class in him.
Now I do not watch it and only read Tia's updates just for her running commentary (her 'ME' comments)
If I ever watch it, I see it like one would see crime patrol 😉 😆 Just what kind of toxic love a woman must avoid. Just how many times should she fall before she stops traversing the same path and what happens to those who continue to make same mistakes again and again.
I am happy for Sona. the first time I felt sorry for her. But now I am looking forward to her torture at the hands of Dev and his mommy. It'll help me validate my theorem 😃

Thank you JShukla for those sweet words. It depends on each one's views & beliefs that how to stick on to a situation. Erica, being my favourite, I am always a Sona fan; but that doesn't make me blind towards the goodness in Dev. His only weakness was his inability to tackle his mom and for that, I will never blame him completely. His situations and the way he was brought up all add up to the reasons. And any time you ask me to choose between Dev or Vicky as my husband, I would go for a Dev type person only. Because with my real life experience, I am confident that one day I will for sure cement my position as a wife in the family. And that is why, I was angry with Sona, when she fell into Vicky's trap. I couldn't digest when it was shown that Sona, being the intelligent, mature and thoughtful girl didn't even once doubt that it could be Vicky's chaal. More than she leaving Dev, the reason for her to leave Dev made me feel bad. I didn't want my Sona been shown as someone who lost the battle to a ghatiya person like Vicky. For that one reason, I am now recharged, when I see that Sona is not going to back off from supporting Dev inspite of the resistances she is facing from RR/Vicky. I want to see her giving it back by exposing the duo infront of the whole family. More than Devakshi reunion, I am waiting for this one track.

@Grace - I beg to differ that Sona shouldnt have trusted Vicky over Dev for the ouster notice -

1. Sona had seen Dev manipulating Rithwik and her (in the beginning) for his mother's sake. She has seen Dev snatching Ranveer's job and bringing a family on the street when things didnt go his way. She had disbelief at Ranveer's bhabhi's words back then, but when she was proven wrong time and again, how to hold back the trust everytime ? Sonakshi is a not a person who would put a paper signature more than a human behaviour. But it was Dev's series of past actions which compelled her to believe in Vicky's words. Track record you see.

2. Even till today Dev himself has no idea that he hadn't done it. He himself is unsure and very much thinks and he can go to any length when things come to his mother. So if Dev himself believes that he did it, why not Sona ? And if we think that Dev knows it's Vicky and still Dev made him the CEO and offered him the whole company if he can bring Sona down, then must say Dev's priorities are quite clear. And I wont trust a guy like that.

I agree that Dev's past actions had compelled Sona to believe Vicky. But, my point was that, Sona had seen past actions of Vicky also and infact, noone in the Dixit/Bose family, didn't know Vicky more better than Sona. And when she had to weigh between Dev & Vicky, how did Dev's scales weigh more, especially when there were good deeds also in Dev's credit?

2. Even till today Dev himself has no idea that he hadn't done it. He himself is unsure and very much thinks and he can go to any length when things come to his mother. So if Dev himself believes that he did it, why not Sona ?

That's why Dev on during his confession said, You make me a better person. Means he believed that Sona had that power to strip him off all his buri aadatein. And that's why he was angry that she left him.

And if we think that Dev knows it's Vicky and still Dev made him the CEO and offered him the whole company if he can bring Sona down, then must say Dev's priorities are quite clear. And I wont trust a guy like that.

Not sure of whether Dev knows it is Vicky who did all the kaand. But evenif he would have known about it, he would have brushed it off, maybe because it was at that time they came to know of Elena's pregnancy...And then later Golu came into his life...So it maybe that, for these 2 persons, Dev would have forgiven Vicky for what he did. And to top it, since Dev believed that he has lost Sona forever as she didn't believe him, then for whom he has to bring the truth out.

And I am not a person who believes in what I see on the surface. I go deep into it, recollect all his past interactions with me and try to see why a person behaves the way he is. And that makes me choose a Dev-like guy over Vicky...😊

Grace- I really liked your thread and your awesome replies and your calmness is shining through.
if you ask me, I'd choose neither. Vicky or Dev.

Dev may not know what all Vicky did during that night. But he did not try to find out anything either.

No matter how educated a woman and her family is. Being on streets with 3 senior citizens as a primary care provider can be difficult. Even on that day upon coming to know that Dev himself(well it was Vicky who did it but Dev didn't know)has ousted a family to streets, Dev did not rectify or look for Sonakshi. Instead he chose to drink at farmhouse. Why? If I were Sona, I'd be right in assuming he doesn't care. And from what I understood, Bose family well being was not much of his concern. Even after slapping his father in law, he said lame sorries immediately and then was focussed on getting Sonakshi back in life. So if Sona had not left with her father, Dev will be least bothered about slapping him.

Even in season 2 he has caused a lot of grief to Sonakshi through his bitter words, actions, behaviour - in public and in private.

Well, we all liked Dev at some point and now dislike him immensely. I am ready to accept him with only extreme transformation. and the makers should be bold enough to show that Dev's behaviour is not acceptable and such people's spouses are right when they leave them after a point.

Bold - Thank you IFreak for those nice words. But, regarding your words on calmness, I would say let not my son hear what you said...He will ask has the meaning of the word of 'calmness' in the dictionary changed...😆😆😆. Because he is the one person who sees my 'kali' roop daily when it comes to his studies...kya karoon, kitne baar try karega tho bhi muje control nahin kar paa rahi hoon...😕😕😕

Red - I still like Dev. Not because I am blind to what all Sona had to suffer. But because, I can understand his situations. It's easy for an outsider to say, why he couldn't take a stand for Sonakshi. But, unless we go through all the phases of life he has gone through and experience how it would be to be emotionally stuck with your mother for almost 20years, we will not be able to understand how his hands was tied up. To come out of a bondage you were in for 20years in just 3-4 months is not that easy. And in Dev's case, he had even forewarned Sona that it would be tough for her to deal with him and had left the choice with her. And it was Sona who after hearing it promised him, that she would never leave him, evenif he left her. And to me, a promise I once made to someone is more important to me than anything, whether he/she keeps their promises or not. I also understand Sona's side that more than anything else the news of infertility had crushed her to the core, that she lost her ability to think rationally; with that I meant she started focusing on what all ways she was inferior to Dev & Dixit family and one-sidedly started deciding because of all these she was no more appealing to Dev. I know, Dev also had his share in increasing her insecurities. But, that was not the Sona whom Bijoy & Asha had brought up. As Dev said during her accident scene, Sona was always a fighter. But, when I saw her going weak for reasons Dev never gave importance for (like infertility & Bose's financial status) and getting defeated by a ruthless person like Vicky, that I couldn't accept. Again, it's all difference in perspective. Sorry for this long rant...😊
