EPISODE: The episode starts with Sona and Jatin at Dev's old rental home. She keeps thinking back then Dev saying the day of proposal that where he lost everything, he wants to get everything.
She wonders what could be more important than this place?
Me: Oh dear lord. Abey issi liye kahan tha ki headless murgi ki tarah idhar udhar bhaagne se achcha hain jis PI ko hire kiya tha, usse hi bol de Dev ka pata lagane ke liye. Moron.
At Dixit house, Golu wants to cut the cake and eat it. But Soha stops him. She wants her parents to cut the cake together.
Golu says that what if they don't like the cake and don't get back together.
Soha says that they will like the cake and come together.
Golu says that for that they will have to come home together. But they didn't come home.
Soha thinks that may be her parents are together and they are celebrating.
Me: This is exactly why I was saying that they should either get back together and keep their mouth shut or not get into this convulated system to please Soha. She thinks that since they are staying together, they must be married again and celebrating their original anniversary. Of course people around her are also confusing her with romantic stories about her parents.
While the reality is that now she sees even less of her parents than she did when they were living separately and gets even less attention because they are busy either fighting, insulting each other or running away. This is why I had said that this idea was the worst idea ever.
Sonakshi thinks about their break up and thinks he must be in Farmhouse. She explains to Jatin that Dev thinks that he has lost me forever (Me: Well, a reasonable assumption since you had said during break up that the love and fate he had made fun off, that will NEVER return in his life. I am pretty sure that realisation wasn't recent) and he must have gone where he lost me.
So they decide then to go to Farmhouse.
Me: Is liye kahan tha ki ulti ginti karo, sidhi nehin. Bekar mein hospital or school mein time waste kiya.
Anyhoo, at Bose house, Ronita is upset. Saurabh says that he knows that he is upset. Anyone would get upset.
Ronita says that she is not upset.
Saurabh says that he will talk to his parents and ask what was so important about Sona that they could not say in front of Ronita?
Ronita stops him: But what's the need? They must have thought that they can't talk in front of me?
Saurabh says that that's exactly what he wants to ask. So everything will be clear. He can't see his wife sad.
Ronita says that she is not sad, see?
Bijoy comes there and asks who is sad?
Saurabh asks: Baba, Ronita was saying that...
Ronita doesn't let him speak.
Bijoy asks what is she upset?
Saurabh starts to speak and then changes the topic seeing Ronita's face that she is missing her parents.
Bijoy asks is that it?
Ronita nods.
Bijoy says that this is her family too. If she gets sad, then her family will be sad too. He asks if they ever treated her differently than Sona?
Ronita denies.
Bijoy cheers up Ronita and leaves.
Me: A few significant thing to be noticed here.
1. Ronita was sad that because of her their conversation stopped.
2. Saurabh, even though he was not told anything about this either (So basically Saurabh and Ronita were treated equally unlike in Dixit house) is willing to ask his parents the reason. That's a valid question since they know everything anyway.
3. Bijoy comes and sees Ronita upset and openly asks what's wrong. I am sure if Ronita hadn't stopped Saurabh and he had asked the question, then Bijoy would have answered honestly as well. However, they gave a different reason and Bijoy pacified Ronita.
In all the instances, Bijoy didn't behave like a father-in-law, Saurabh didn't behave like Ronita has no right to ask questions and Ronita didn't get the answer because she was the only one who behaved like a daughter-in-law instead of a daughter and ask the question honestly. After all, the Boses never treated her differently than Sona.
Vicky is in towel and wants to romance Elena. He asks her to pass the T-shirt since she is not paying attention to him. She throws it to him without looking at him.
He asks for another one. Elena still doesn't notice.
He swaggers to Elena and then she looks up. Now uski batti jali (Me: Lau ka advice dene mein to ladki bas sabse aage. Lekin apna beda paar karne mein utter duffer).
Anyhoo, Vicky wants to romance since he thinks that Dev is also maaring chance pe dance.
Romantic tung tung in the background (Not the one they use for Dev and Sona. Fandom maar maarke bharta bana denge inki. Nayee wali)
Me: Bhai wah, CVs. Sab romance kar rahe hain. Ek main lead ko chodke. Kam se kam yehi dikha dete ki Dev Ishwari ko surprise dene Vaishnadevi chala gaya hain. Waise, kabhi kabhi mere ko yaad nehin rehta ki main leads hain kaun.
P.S. Vicky kameena hain, lekin hot hain.
Just then Soha and Golu arrives.
Golu giggles: Naked Papa...
Vicky and Elena jump away. Vicky says there goes celebration.
Golu chants naked Papa. Soha asks for stories because they are getting bored.
Vicky tries to shoo them away. But both kids get stubborn.
Elena agrees to tell story. Vicky gets upset. Elena tells him that she will tell him "stories" tomorrow.
Me: Arre inn dono bachho ko bhej dona Bose house. Asha ghanto tak story sunayegi aur idhar Elena can work on her romance before shelling out unwanted advice. Kya pakao episode hain yaar. Kya dekhna hain aur kya dikh raha hain.
At road, Radha is trying to get a cab for a ride home. But she is not getting anything. She finally gets a truck. He asks for money. Radha is still on Sona's tail. I don't know how she knows where Sona went since even Sona doesn't know where to go. Makes no sense. More pakao scene. See it yourself if you have stomach for it.
Moving on, at Dixit house, Golu asks for action hero stories and Soha wants prince and princess stories. Golu says that prince and princess aren't real. Soha says that they are real because once upon a time there used to be prince and princesses. She says that action heroes aren't real.
Golu says that she won't become a princess by listening to their stories. Soha retorts back that he won't become action hero by listening to their stories either.
Golu said that he already said that he is super hero because he is a boy and he is strong.
Elena says that really? He is that strong?
Me: Haan bechari ko kaise pata chalega? Kabhi kabhi to apna beta isse yaad aata hain. Agar Golu kaun se class mein hain utna bata de to badi baat hain.
Soha claims to be stronger than Golu. She claimed that she used to come first in the race.
Golu mocks Soha and says that girls are not strong.
Soha wants to compete. Golu agrees to play tug of war with blanket.
Elena agrees.
Me: Wow. Gender identity has already been ingrained in Golu thanks to Dixit upbringing. Thankfully, Soha wasn't taught their twisted idea of a woman's capability. True, generally boys are stronger. But not all boys are stronger than all girls. It depends on fitness level and core strength. But then, I doubt Golu has been taught otherwise.
At Bose house, everyone is eating.
Saurabh says that if someone is upset in the family, is it necessary to be upset as a whole family?
Bijoy says, What? Are you talking about Ronita? That's not a problem.
Saurabh: Yes. If Sona gets upset, everyone gets upset. Who cares about Ronita's mood.
Ronita tries to stop him.
Me: Here I'd like to point out something for Saurabh.
I am all about open communication. But to create unnecessary drama, there was no need to create illogical plot.
1. Bijoy asked the reason Ronita was upset. Saurabh said something else. So Bijoy pacified Ronita based on the reason they provided. The actual problem wasn't told to him.
2. Saurabh said that it's not necessary for the entire family to be upset because of one member is upset. However, no one is upset here except Ronita. Then why did he had to drag Sona who is not even present here?
3. He cancelled US trip because he wanted to be close to Sona. So I'd say, he caused a lot more upset for Ronita than Asha or Bijoy did by not talking about Sona. Because frankly, there is nothing to talk about there. Asha was mourning for Sona's marital status whereas Sona didn't once called her crying. So the problem is Asha's, not Sona's.
4. If Saurabh wants answers, he has to ask direct questions. No one has time to decipher why is someone upset if they don't share themselves. No one is partying here leaving Ronita sitting alone in a lonely hotel. (You know what I am talking about).
Asha asks, Saurabh. What are you saying? We are just worried for Sona.
Saurabh: You guys relax. I had called Sona and she said that she is fine. She is my sister too. I am also worried for her.
Bijoy: Arre, had you told us that earlier, we won't have worried.
Saurabh: Why would I have told you? When do you share everything with us?
Asha: What are you saying? What did we not share with you?
Me: Asha, isn't that kind of hypocritical on your part since you hadn't shared the truth of the theft with Saurabh (Ronita told him, not you) and you yet to share the same with Bijoy? So you do hide things. So please, don't look so innocent here. Do you see what even lie by omission do to the trust level of a family?
Saurabh: When you were talking in Sona's room about Sona, you shut up seeing her.
Ronita tries to stop Saurabh: I told you that I didn't feel bad about this.
Saurabh: But I am feeling bad. Here Sona's problem is considered a problem. Not anyone else's.
Bijoy tells Saurabh: That's enough.
Me: Fair enough. So why don't you say what is your problem? You want fairness? Then share your feelings. Sona is not disrupting any of your life. If you have any problem, then ask your mother. She is the one who thinks that her secretive nature is actually bringing positivity in her family life. Bijoy shares whatever is in his head with everyone whether you like it or not. But you don't dare question Asha. So there's the eternal scapegoat, Sona.
But then again, Sona's constant swing to and fro for Dev Dixit is creating confusion and problem in her family. No one likes to live in a limbo after all.
Just then Ronita's parents come there.
Ronita goes to greet them.
Bijoy tells Asha that Ronita was missing her parents so he called them to see her.
Me: See, that's what I was saying. If Bijoy knows the problem, he solves it. He was told that Ronita was missing her parents and that's why she was upset. So he called them to meet her. Had Saurabh then honestly told Bijoy the problem, he would have solved them too.
Asha is worried because she knows what is Ronita's mother's concern. But Bijoy doesn't know. Again, secrets are slowly fraying the trust system of Bose family. Asha is nowhere sensible women. She is the one who is destroying her family from within.
Ronita's parents ask Ronita if she is crying and her mother gets extra agitated. Asha looks at her and she gets silent.
They ask what happened. Ronita refuses to say anything.
Saurabh asks her to say what she is feeling to her parents. Ronita's mother asks her again. Ronita is still refusing to speak.
Asha says that she can share with her parents. They won't mind.
Asha reveals exactly what happened. Then she asks if she is guessing it right. Ronita nods.
Asha comes to her and says: There was some misunderstanding. But I remember my promise at your wedding. Just like Sona is my daughter, you are my daughter too. Never think yourself separate from this family.
Saurabh feels embarrassed to have created mountain of a molehill which could have been solved with plain talk.
Ronita smiles and hugs Asha: Sorry Maa.
Bijoy smiles.
Ronita's dad says that when the daughter-in-law and her mother-in-law is happy, they are happy too.
Bijoy says since all misunderstanding are cleared, let's eat together.
Ronita's father agrees but Ronita's mother isn't convinced.
Me: Now scroll up and see what I wrote for Ronita. Asha and Bijoy aren't behaving as in-laws. Saurabh and Ronita are behaving like in-laws. Any of them could have asked the question directly, Asha would have answered honestly and the matter would have been resolved then and there.
Instead it was dragged around and muddied the relationship.
Saurabh did good to stand up for Ronita. But there was absolutely no need to drag Sona when he should have been just honest with his parents. As I said, he is behaving like an in-law, not them.
Considering he was the one who cancelled his honeymoon, I don't think he has any mouth left to say anything. You can't blame others for something you did as well.
Asha's lie of omission is going to rip her family apart. Just wait and watch.
Soha and Golu play tug of war. Mamaji comes and stops them. Elena says that whoever wins will get to hear their choice of story. Mamaji makes them drink milk and both finish fast to get strong. They start their competition. Soha wins. Golu loses.
He gets mad and leaves in a huff.
Me: Yep. Typical Dixit upbringing. Male ego exists even in a small kid. That's why gender biased upbringing is so harmful for any child.
Soha calls Sona and asks if they are together and also asks them to come home.
Sona tells her that they are not together now. But she will meet him soon. She has promised that they will come together and she never breaks her promise.
Soha says that she is missing her parents.
Sona says that she is missing her too.
Soha says that when they are together, she feels like a fairy tale princess. When kids draw picture in school, they draw picture of their parents together. But she didn't have her father in her picture before. Now she does. So when one of them is missing, she feels sad.
Sona tells her that there is no need to feel sad. They will come home together. Soha can make another drawing where she can draw all three of them.
Soha says that she knows why her parents tell her stories of happy ending.
Sona asks why.
Soha says that because happy endings are rare in real life.
Sona says that their ending is far away. It just got started. But their story will have lots of love and her picture will have a lot of colours. And their story will have happy ending. She has understood her wish and she promises that her mother will fulfil her wish.
Soha says that she knows.
Me: I was watching this scene and learning lessons of manipulation from a supposedly 6 years old. Let's see here. We all know that kids can manipulate just fine tugging on heartstrings.
However, did you guys notice that Soha didn't try to reach her father with her sorrowful wish? Why not (well, other than Shaheer's absence)? Because every kids know who will get their job done and they will always pick the person who will do as they want.
Sona on the other hand has already got married to Dev mentally. So she is making promises left and right assuming that the moment she clicks her finger, it will happen. But what gave her the idea that Dev actually wants to marry her or even wants to be with her? Just because he went on a jealous rage? Does it make automatic acceptance to marry her again, this time knowing how his mother will behave?
Ishwari hasn't vanished permanently. She will return and she is not willing to let Sonakshi back in Dev's life for anything else except Soha's mother which she also willing to change if she could.
So I am not understanding on what basis Sona is making promises?
And let's not forget if Soha wants siblings, how would Sona fulful that if Dev refuses to marry her again? Will she be fine with illegitimate kids?
As I said, this arrangement had only one potential outcome - chaos due to confusion and disaster.
Vicky tries to romance Elena. Elena says that she is busy. Vicky says that she has no time for him. Elena shows him what made her busy. She is holding Golu's marksheet.
She tells Vicky that there problem is that they don't pay attention to Golu. He gets mad at little things. Now she knows why.
She shows Vicky that he has failed in most subjects. He didn't even do homework for so long.
Me: I am glad that you remembered that you have a child Elena. May be you should have concentrated on him instead of others' love life. Anyhoo, here I have a question for you. Why don't you ask the person who was raising him for six years as to why he is in such poor condition?
You don't know who that is? Well, it's the runaway guardian - Dev Dixit. He claimed to lecture Sona on her parenthood and said that he was raising a child for 6 years like her. Except the marksheet and Golu's behaviour (not to mention Soha's concern) are all pointing towards his massive failure as a guardian/parental figure.
Vicky threatens to teach Golu a lesson. Elena stops him. Elena asks him to understand that punishing him will solve nothing. The fault is not his, it's theirs. They don't pay attention to him. Dev used to take care of him until now. But he got busy with his life and now no one pays attention to him. He needs them.
Me: Hallelujah!!! Chalo, 6 saal baad hi sahi, Elena ko apna beta yaad to aaya. Bhaiya ko to chalo apni beti bhi yaad nehin Mr. India banne se pehle. Golu ko kya khak yaad rakhenge? Yeh aadmi next morning tak wait nehin kar paa rahe the Soha se milne ke liye, chicken pox ke time darwaza tod ke andar jaana chahte the aur ab Soha thik hain aur unke ghar pe hain aur banda gayab.
Aise namune parents kaise ban jaate hain, pata nehin. Aur udhar achhe parents bachhe ke liye mar rahe hain, aur uparwala unke ghar bachhe nehin bhejte. Life is so unfair. Kitna achha hota agar parents hone se pehle insaan ko ek test dena padta to qualify?
Anyhoo, Golu is sitting upset and playing aggressively with his toys when Vicky and Elena come there.
Vicky asks why is he upset, Junior.
Golu says that only his BigCha calls him Junior.
Vicky says that then he will call him Golu.
Vicky offers to play with them.
Golu refuses.
Elena offers to take him to mall to play in kid zone.
Me: Okay, I am confused again. Yeh raat hain ki din. Mall itni raat ko khula rehta hain kya? CVs, time zone confuse mat karo. Yeh Delhi hain, Canada nehin ki ek jagah 12 bajega aur doosri jagah 5.
Golu asks why? They can send him with a driver too.
Elena asks why they can't come with him?
Golu says that they have never came with him before. So they must not know how to play games. If BigCha was here, I'd have taken him with me. He knows how to play games.
Elena and Vicky feel ashamed.
Elena says that they will do anything he wants to do.
Golu refuses to go anywhere without his BigCha.
Vicky gets angry and says that his BigCha doesn't have time for him anymore. He has to take care of his daughter. He can't take care of Golu anymore.
Elena tries to stop him. But Vicky scolds him about his studies.
Golu gets upset and he doesn't want to talk with them. He runs away.
Vicky also gets angry. Elena tries to stop him.
Elena says that it was her mistake to bring in him. He became their son but they could not be his parents.
Me: I am envisioning the same attitude in Soha while Dev and Sona in Vicky and Elena's place. Now Golu has ideal situation. Her parents are just like Soha's wish. Golu can draw both her parents with her. But does he feel like a prince?
Soha's parents are not technically together. But when they were not living together, they had more time for her than they have for her now when she has forced them to live together. I wonder if Soha is getting princess feelings now. Because it seems she is still waiting for that feelings. And why not? She just got out of sickness and none of her parents are around her. She and Golu baked a cake. No one is around to appreciate their effort. Golu is sulking alone and she is lonely.

Sona comes to Farmhouse and she remembers what Dev had said. But those are now sweet nothings. Because now she is again obsessed with Dev.
But thanks CVs for showing that scene. I remember what Dev had said. I am glad Sona remembers too. Not that it would make a difference because for that Sona needs to have some self-respect which she doesn't.
Anyhoo, she thinks that she knew that if his words still hurt her, then her words must hurt him too.
Me: Excuse me. What hurtful word did you say before Dev left, Sonakshi? I can't remember. Please refresh my memory.
Sona: You haven't got fixed after being broken and neither have I. That's why I thought you will be here.
Me: It will serve her right if Dev is there with Shruti part 2. But I guess not. Drunk Dev is not an attractive sight. Only a moron like Sonakshi will tolerate that shit.
Then she sees Dev's motorcycle. So location confirmed. Followed by Khatri. So location confirmed twice.
She sees him going to the Farmhouse and ringing doorbell. Sonakshi is shocked.
Me: Arre iss mein hairani ki kya baat hain? Khatri ne bola to tha ki usko pata hain ki Dev kahan hain. Phir aap ne PI Khatri ke peeche kyun nehin lagaya? Khud aadhi Delhi ghoom ke aa gayee.
I swear jab akal bat raha tha, saare ke saare daaru charake so rahe the.
PRECAP: Khatri tells Sonakshi that he had plans to take money from Ishwari saying that he will tell Dev her truth and he can say the same to Dev saying the same. He has a CD with Ishwari's confession.
Me: Lekin mereko ek baat samajh mein nehin aa raha hain ki Khatri itna bewakuf aur inefficient way mein paise kyun chahta hain?
I mean what is easier? One person to blackmail or multiple person? Why not take Sona's money and continue to blackmail her? Aur agar usse Dev aur Ishwari ko tadpana hi hain, to Sonakshi ko apna plan aur uska saara strategy batane ki kya jaroorat hain? Kaun sa gadha kidnapper apna pol aise kholta hain?
Kya CVs? Villain bhi laaye to itna ghatiya? Pehli baar hard working and truthful villain dekh rahee hoon. Kitna honest banda hain, nehin? Hamari main leads ko usse lesson lena chahiye.
