PART 5

NARRATOR'S POV:

Dev slowly opened the ICU door, his hands were badly shivering, his face was sweating, his body was trembling, as he was not mentally prepared to face the possible sight that he was going to witness. But still he felt an urgent desire to see his Sona. As he opened the door he saw her sitting up straight on the bed. She was slowly recovering. She appeared to be so weak and fragile that for once he doubted whether she was the same Sona he knew. He could understand how much pain she must have undergone for HIM and his mother. He sadly realized that he was always the sole reason of her sadness and worries. He had hurt her for the FIRST TIME by removing her from her job, by breaking up with her he had hurt her for the SECOND time. He hurt her for the THIRD time by breaking their marriage and for the FOURTH time by calling her a bad mother and questioning her character. He mentally promised himself not to hurt her in future. He just couldn't afford to be the reason of her pains for the FIFTH time. These thoughts brought fresh set of tears in his eyes and he felt like his knees were going weak, so he got seated on the chair kept near the bed. He slowly held her hands and started talking to her weak and slender body.

DEV: WHAT IS ALL THIS SONA? WHY DID YOU DO THIS? WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT ME AND MY FAMILY THAT YOU RISKED YOUR OWN LIFE FOR US.YOU DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT OUR DAUGHTER ALSO.HOW DO YOU THINK SHE WILL BE ABLE TO LIVE WITHOUT YOU. HOW DO YOU THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO LIVE IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU.WHY DO YOU LOVE ME SO MUCH SONA???????????,I HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE LOVED BY YOU!!!!!!he started crying and his tears slowly started falling on her weak hands and with this Sona started to wake up from her small sleep.

SONA: DEV...,she called out to him.

Dev suddenly got attentive and moved towards her to hear her out.

DEV:YES SONA, IM RIGHT NEAR YOU,NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN OK,YOU TAKE REST.

SONA: DEV PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME ...I CANNOT MANAGE THIS ALONE,ITS PAINING DEV...she started crying.

DEV:NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND I WONT LEAVE YOU FROM NOW ON.

SONA:THIS IS WHAT YOU SAID TO ME BEFORE OUR MARRIAGE WHEN YOU PROPOSED TO ME, she said wiping her tears. WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME DEV. YOU KNOW, HOW ALONE I WAS. HOW BAD I FELT TO KNOW THAT I WAS CARRYING YOUR CHILD BUT STILL COULDN'T INFORM YOU ABOUT IT AND NOW YOU ARE TELLING THAT YOU WON'T LEAVE ME.

DEV: THAT WAS 7 YEARS AGO, BUT I HAVE LEARNED A LOT NOW. THESE 7 YEARS WERE LIKE HELL FOR ME AND TRUST ME MY CONDITION WAS MUCH WORSE THAN YOURS.

SONA: YA THAT'S WHY YOU WERE ENJOYING IN THAT ROOM WITH YOUR NEW GF SHRUTHI.

DEV:SHRUTI IS NOT MY GF, he said to her in a painful voice.

SONA: THEN WHAT WERE YOU DOING WITH HER INSIDE THAT HOTEL ROOM?she asked him.

DEV: THERE IS NOTHING SONA... I WAS JUST TRYING TO PROVE YOUR ABSENCE OR PRESENCE IN MY LIFE DOESN'T MATTER ME BUT THAT WAS NOT THE TRUTH. EVERY SECOND I SAW YOU I WAS NEVER ABLE TO CONTROL MYSELF AND THIS ALWAYS ANGERS ME MORE AND THAT'S WHY I ALWAYS WANTED TO TROUBLE YOU BECAUSE I WANTED YOU TO BE ANNOYED AND TENSED JUST LIKE ME.

SONA: THAT'S WHY YOU SHOUTED ON ME BY SAYING THAT IM A BAD MOM AND IM A ...she couldn't complete her words as she couldn't utter those horrible words from her mouth and she again started crying. WHY DID YOU SAY ALL THAT TO ME, DEV???????

DEV: BECUZ I LOVE YOU DAMMIT!!!!!!!!he shouted at the top of his lungs, I STILL LOVE YOU A LOT AND I CANNOT SEE YOU WITH ANYONE ELSE. I NEED YOU FOR MYSELF AND WHATEVER HAPPENS I WILL NEVER STOP LOVING YOU.

Just as Dev said that Sona started crying more and Dev went and hugged her to himself like there is no tomorrow. But still she did not stop crying. She kept digging her face to Dev's broad chest soaking his shirt in her tears. Seeing her condition even Dev couldn't stop crying. He was continuously kissing her tears and wiping it away but still tears were continuously flowing from her eyes. And that was it, he couldn't take it anymore, so to stop her cries and to fulfill his desires, he slowly kissed her lips being careful not to hurt her. And to his surprise she responded to his desires within no time. They kissed for almost five to ten minutes and by this time Sona became more active and was kissing him more wildly and sensing the situation he suddenly stopped the kiss and looked into her eyes and said,

DEV: I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SONA, he said huskily. I'M SO SORRY THAT I FLIRTED WITH SO MANY GIRLS IN FRONT OF YOU. I PROMISE I WILL NEVER DO SUCH THINGS IN FRONT OF YOU IN FUTURE.

SONA: NOT ONLY IN FRONT OF ME BUT YOU SHOULD NOT FLIRT IN MY ABSENCE ALSO, she pouted cutely.

DEV: I AM NOT SURE OF THAT, YOU KNOW THAT I'M HOT AND HANSOME, SO EVEN IF I CONTROL, OTHERS MAYNOT BE ABLE TO CONTROL THEIR DESIRES, he said almost teasing her.

SONA: ACHA FINE, AFTER FLIRTING YOU WILL COME BACK TO ME ONLY, THAT TIME I'LL SHOW YOU, she said slowly pushing him.

After saying this both Dev and Sona started laughing and the whole room was filled with their laughter and they both hugged each other once again. Drowning in the feeling Sona said to Dev- I LOVE YOU DEV.

AFTER SOME TIME,

Dev brought Suhana inside and upon seeing Sona she jumped on her almost hurting her.

SONA: OOCH!!!!!!!

SUHANA: MAMMA... ARE YOU ALRIGHT, I'M SO SORRY, she exclaimed nervously.

SONA: MUMMA IS FINE DEAR, HOW ARE YOU.

SUHANA: I'M FINE, I WILL PRAY FOR YOU MAMMA, SO THAT YOU BECOME ALRIGHT, saying so she hugged her mother.

THIS STORY HAS JUST ONE MORE PART TO GO WHICH WILL BE AN EPILOGUE.

PART 6- EPILOGUE

After the TINY MINY FAMILY HUG, Suhana suddenly got down from the bed and asked her parents, who were by now looking at her with utmost curiosity filled in their eyes.

SOHA: PAPPA, MUMMA CAN I ASK YOU A QUESTION?, she asked her parents .

DEV AND SONA: YES DEAR YOU CAN ASK US ANYTHING...,they answered her positively.

SOHA: MUMMA PAPPA DO YOU LOVE EACH OTHER? WILL I BE ABLE TO LIVE WITH YOU BOTH FROM NOW ON?, her sound indicating a strong faith that this time her parents wouldn't deny her TINY request.

Both Dev and Sonakshi was startled by this question, but even before Sona could react Dev abruptly replied,

DEV: YES BETA, WE ALL WILL LIVE TOGETHER. PAPPA WILL NOT LEAVE YOU BOTH ALONE, Dev said taking Suhana up in his arms. Just as she heard this, she kissed Dev on his cheeks, got down from his hold and ran outside to inform the good news to Bejoy and Asha and Jatin.

After Suhana ran out of the room Dev turned to look at Sona who was weeping silently. He quietly went to her and said,

DEV: WHY ARE YOU CRYING?, he asked caressing her hair.

SONA: WHY DID YOU LIE TO SOHA THAT WE BOTH WILL GET BACK TOGETHER, YOU KNOW RIGHT THAT NOW NOTHING IS POSSIBLE BETWEEN US, she said in between her cries.

DEV: SONA, WHATEVER I SAID TO HER IS THE TRUTH AND I REALLY WANT TO HAVE YOU BACK. I AM DOING THIS NOT TO MAKE SOHA HAPPY BUT I REALLY WANT YOU BACK FOR MYSELF AND I AM TELLING THIS NOT ON ANYBODY S EXERTION, he answered her with determination.

SONA: BUT WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS BETWEEN US AGAIN, THIS TIME I WONT BE ABLE TO TAKE IT, she said thinking about their bitter past.

DEV: SONA, I WILL MAKE EVERYTHING ALRIGHT BUT I REALLY WANT YOU TO TRUST ME ONE LAST TIME, PLEASE...,he requested her.

SONA: I TRUST YOU DEV, BUT I WANT YOU TO BE THERE FOR ME AND OUR DAUGHTER ALWAYS, she said emotionally.

Hearing this Dev hugged Sona and kissed her hair, he was so happy that she was ready to give him one more chance to correct his mistakes . Just then Bejoy, Asha, Jatin and Soha came inside to see Sona but what caught Dev's attention was that Soha and Jatin were so close to each other. This would have affected him if it were some hours before but now he was able to understand their relationship.

ASHA: SONA, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU? HOW DID YOU GET WOUNDED SO BADLY? she asked her daughter worriedly.

To answer Asha's queries Sona and Jatin narrated everything that happened. Hearing this Asha went to Dev and thanked him for saving her daughter but Bejoy was in his normal angry mode. Just then the doctor came in and enquired about Sona's health and said that she will have to stay in the hospital for few more days and any one person will have to stay back with her. Just as Dev heard this he quickly obliged to stay back with her. This decision of Dev made Sona, Asha, Soha and Jatin happy but Bejoy was still angry on Dev for destroying his daughter's life.

SONA'S DISCHARGING DAY,

SONA: DEV, WHY IS NO ONE HERE TO PICK ME UP TODAY, DID THEY FORGET THAT TODAY IS MY DISCHARGING DAY?, She asked Dev irritatingly upon not seeing anyone to pick her on her discharging day.

DEV: I MYSELF TOLD THEM NOT TO COME AS I AM TAKING YOU WITH ME TO MY HOUSE, he said looking into her eyes.

Sona started protesting but even before she could continue her protests Dev took her up in his arms in bridal style and went out of the ICU. All the hospital staff was looking at them with awe and wonder. Some began crying with happiness, some began shouting and some ladies began shouting at their husbands saying that they were unromantic. But none of these disturbances affected Devakshi as they were lost in their own TINY MINY LA LA LAND. They came out of the hospital and Dev placed Sona inside the car beside him and drove to Ishwari Nivas at jet speed.

ISHWARI NIVAS

Ishwari returned from Vaishno Devi and was resting on her couch due to exertion , when she got the shock of her life seeing Dev and Sona together and that too right in front of her. Her brain was trying to fathom the happenings that might have took place in her absence and what could have prompted her son and ex- daughter in law to get back together.But even before she could say something Dev narrated everything to her, starting from the Khatri fiasco to how Sona helped their family to how she still cares for them and concluded that HE STILL LOVES HER AND WANTS TO MARRY HER. HE ALSO MADE IT CLEAR THAT MARRIAGE CAN BE BROKEN WITH PRENUP AND DIVORCE BUT LOVE IS ETERNAL AND CANNOT BE BROKEN BY EXTERNAL FORCES. His voice had a finality and determination which didn't go unnoticed by Ishwari.

Her mind was filled with so much of guilt that after hearing her son's words she immediately went to Sona and hugged her seeking forgiveness from her. She also wanted to have her lovely NUTRITION back as her Bahu.

Devakshi then went straight to the Bose house as they wanted to persuade Sona's family also for their relation. Asha was more than happy to hear their decision but Bejoy was as usual a tuff nut to crack but after a lot of persuasion he finally gave in wholeheartedly.

WEDDING DAY

The Dixit house was fully filled with decorations and the house had a special glow which it had lost since the past 7 years. Everyone looked extremely happy and contended, but there were two people standing at the corner of the mandap- their face expressing sadness as all their plans had failed miserably{ we all know that its Vicky and gkb, just ignore them}.Suhana was very happy knowing that her parents are going to be one soon and she would get equal love from both of them. Golu was jealous of Soha saying that she was very lucky to see her parents wedding and kept on pestering Elena that they should have invited him for their{vilena's wedding}.

Dev was impatiently waiting for Sonakshi. He was going all restless for her. After some time, putting his wait to rest Sonakshi entered the hall. She was wearing a beautiful orange lehenga with shining beads on it.She was looking mesmerizingly beautiful and dev was staring at her shamelessly. Recognizing his stares her cheeks turned crimson red and this did not go unnoticed by Dev. She slowly walked towards the mandap and sat beside Dev. The rituals got started and both Dev and Sona were filled with a strange nervous feeling. After the rituals got over they were declared married.

After sometime everyone returned to their respective room and Devakshi were left ALL ALONE IN THEIR ROOM. It was very tough to explain to Soha that for today she should leave her mumma and papa alone and after that she happily agreed to it.

Sonakshi was sitting on the bed in such a way that she was covered by a long duppata. Dev came up to Sonakshi, sat near her and said,

DEV: SONAKSHI, WHY ARE YOU SITTING LIKE THIS AS IF YOU ARE BEING ALONE WITH ME FOR THE FIRST TIME, DON'T FORGET THAT WE ARE PARENTS TO A BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, he said with a naughty smirk on his lips. Saying so he removed her duppata revealing her face to him. She was looking at him with need and passion evident on her face.

SONA: WHAT MADE YOU THINK THAT I AM NERVOUS ABOUT BEING ALONE WITH YOU, she asked him with a naughty smile.

DEV:YOU WERE SITTING AS IF YOU ARE NERVOUS, he answered her.

SONA: I WAS NOT NERVOUS BUT I JUST WANTED TO SURPRISE YOU, she said in a cute voice.

DEV: OK, SO YOU WANTED TO SURPRISE ME- he said moving close to her face and slowly kissing her lips.

The kiss turned deep and passionate within some time and both of them began tasting each and every corner of their mouth after 7 long years. Within no time they were seen making passionate love to one another. It was not just to quench their physical and mental desires but it was a way to reassure themselves that they will always remain together from now on and love each other selflessly.

After their hot love making session, they laid peacefully in each others arms thinking about their future together.

DEV: SONAKSHI?, he called out to her.

SONA: HA DEV...

DEV: WHY DID YOU TAKE THAT BULLET SHOT FOR ME???, he asked her thinking about the horrible incident.

SONA: YOU WANNA KNOW WHY?

DEV: YA...

SONA: BECUZ I AM READY TO SACRIFICE MYSELF FOR YOU, she said with her voice filled with love for him.

DEV: BUT WHAT IF SOMETHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO YOU, he asked her. His eyes were filled with tears.

SONA: NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO ME AS LONG AS YOU ARE THERE WITH ME.

DEV:AND ONE MORE THING...

SONA: WHAT?

DEV: EVEN I AM READY TO SACRIFICE MYSELF FOR YOU.

SONA: I KNOW,Hearing that he kissed her forehead pouring out his love for her and tightly held her in his strong protective arms. He could feel her hot breaths on his chest and he loved the feeling of having her so close to him. After sometime sleep took over him and he drifted into eternity with HIS LOVE, HIS KHARGOSH.
