Classic. Today's KRPKAB in one word.
Every scene had its greys. Its not just black and white, its always always a grey. From Sona's outpour about Dev not being there when she needed him, to Soha/Golu's innocent understanding to Vicky saying he loves Elena but is potrayed as the bad guy to Mamaji's gentle wise words.
I guess this what is called a mindblowing story.
Highlight 1: Soha-Golu-Sona. I have not seen ONE show till date that captures kids for what they are and how they think. Everything is taken at the face value and not in depth analysis. They understand deeply yes, like Golu who is observant and sensitive to others feelings, but at the end of the day his way of making someone happy is by playing, not talking or advising. Or Soha who fully believes what her mumma tells her, what mumma/pappa or people she trusts tell her is right, anything else might or might not be wrong.
Highlight 2: Sona-Elena, where Elena talks about Dev his behaviour and his concern to Golu. People might say Sona is her sister, she should be supporting her and not sing Dev's praises, but she doesnt know the 7 years after Sona as well as she knows the 7 years after Dev. She knows only Dev's side of the story, his struggle and his thoughts. Yet,she also understands Sona, she is Sona's reality check as much as Dev is.
Highlight 3: Sonakshi's struggle, EJF has to take a bow along with the writers here! All we knew was Sonakshi went through a hard time to move on. She moved on because of Soha and her family, how did she? What was her feelings through the 7 years? Why is she so cold to Dev? How can she just let him back? Why is she defending his family? Has she really truly moved on? All of this was answered to an extent today. She has pondered over why their relationship did not work, and she is finally seeking answers.
Highlight 4: Sona-Mamaji, Want more of this bond. She loved what was someone else's despite knowing of the hurdles. She loved Dev and maybe she still would, if she could forgive him. Would she? Would her heart let her to? We've to wait and watch.
Highlight 5: Byomkesh Bakshi Sona: So we find the house. No Dev is not illegitimate. Ishwari never murdered anyone. Ishwari is no Devi as the chawl calls her. Every devi has her share of grey too. This was shown today. While to the world and Dev Ishwari seems to be an idol, to Sona she is just another human, flawed and imperfect unlike what the others see. Beautiful perspectives there!
Highlight 6: Bose bonding, Raunita's hesitance to chidding by the mother in law for standing away from the fam. Beautiful. Love the way Sona's experience has taught everyone something. Asha's words of trust being an important part and Sona wondering if that is the problem with her and Dev. Its good she is seeking answers. Dev too is, in his own way...trying to figure out what he is to Sona through Soha. "Aur kya bataya mumma ne aapko mere baare mein" š
Highlight 7: Vicky-Elena! While Sona's outburst was a highlight...I felt this scene was simple and the best out of the whole lot. Vicky's character development. From a brother who has been and still is envious of his successful elder brother who is the apple of everyone's eye to the concerned husband who genuinely cares for his family and wants the best for them by hook or by crook. Not just this scene but every scene with Elena where he is threatened by the fact Elena's love for him is dying is a highlight. He is another grey character, not villain not hero. What he needs to do is listen to Elena a little which I doubt will happen anytime soon!
Khatra Khatri's dhamki of exposing Ishwari...hmmm dunno how I feel about it. Maybe when the truth is revealed atled to just the Dixit's Dev will realise there is more to everyone than just black or white, which is exactly what Sonakshi wants š
PS: Never a fan of writing big posts but couldnt help myself. My mjnd is blown today. Unique, Classic, Exemplenary, Beautiful, Best one on the Indian Television currently.
