An unequal equation

Dev is jealous and suspicious. It is a natural instinct. Any man or woman feel that. Except Sona. Can we ask Dev to measure upto Sona's standards? If he cant, will that make him an inferior man?

It is perfectly alright for Dev to feel jealous of Jatin. The situation created is just to evoke thoughts like that.

Yes. he flirted outrageously in front of Sona which had no effect on her. I feel Sona no longer loves Dev but only concerned for him. While Dev loves Sona but not concerned for her.

natural instinct to be be jealous.. yes! but not to stalk!.. NO! Soankshi and Dev are both flawed characters as we have seen in both seasons😉 One is clueless and can't think beyond him & his mom. The other is blinded by love to an extent of losing her self respect!

Sam had posted in the weekly analysis thread --- how is Sona's love different from Dev's love.. i am trying to find where it is ... but the zist of it is like this... (sam or others pls correct me if I am not reiterating it correctly)

Both Dev and Sona love each other ... but their love for each other is different.

Sona's love is 'Transcendental" - where she loves Dev but she doesnt need Dev to be physically present for her to love him. (I believe this is like the love meera has for Krishna). so even though Sona is heart broken, she probably never stopped loving Dev in this way for the last 7 yrs. She will be ok and happily stay away from Dev physically if needed and still be in love with him and be happy with the situation she is in.

Where as Dev's love needs the person who he loves to be around him physically. if the person leaves him then that means sona doesn't love him. Dev expects sona to hang around him to feel loved. -- i am sorry i am not able to articulate Devs love well.

You actually did articulate Dev's love pretty well. what more needs to be added? He wants her all for himself.. he is living today, or wants to live today, what he spoke 7 years ago.. Good Na?

Dev will not allow any other man in Sona's life even as a good friend. He wants to be everything. And Sona likes to have friend to confide in. If Jatin marries some other woman, will the situation be the same? Wont she have insecurities about her husband roaming around with a beautiful, divorced woman? Why Sona needs another person to discuss her problems? Cant she handle her problems alone and is she not old enough by now? She is successful but she is not independent truly as she runs to Jatin every day for advice!

Dev looks so miserable that even golu is trying to understand him. But Sona is adding salt to his injury without giving some hint about what she is upto. We may feel that Dev deserves it but ...
Sona taunts him mama's boy and Dev can taunt her Jatins's girl!😆

Their marriage will not work and even if works, it will not sail smoothly.

I feel both should move on with different partners and live happily.

He has always been possessive and insecure even when they were dating and then got married. He sees Sona as just his and no one else's. It is his way of showing love I guess 🤔 which I dont agree with.
