I loved a lot of things in today's episode, but what I loved best was Asha;s comment on tolerance
"Tum logon mein tolerance hi nahin hai"...Her comment got me thinking.

Tolerance is a tightrope walk to a destination called a stable relationship and stable personal life

If a person is too intolerant, they fall off the rope and have to restart the walk...Each time they shout ,they fall, each time they fall, they restart the walk, each time they restart they lose ground to the tolerant person who is now moving closer to the destination .

But there is a catch..If a person is too tolerant, they totter on the rope...People pull them in different directions creating imbalance in their lives. They ultimately fall off the rope or keep moving but their speed slows down very much with time...They also (probably) never reach their destination.

Asha walsk the tolerance tightrope to perfection.I think Asha's strength lies in showing the right degree of tolerance to the right point in every situation. She almost never raises her voice(Kudos lady👏).But when she speaks everyone listens and obeys her. This is because she listens to people, tries to understand others' pov and then talks.A person who talks after listening makes sense and commands respect .Asha commands the respect of not only the Boses but also the Dixits. Inspite of being physically smaller than Bijoy , Dev,Saurabh,Jatin and Sona, she gets everyone to obey her. Soha loves her and even Ishwari talks calmly to her. She doesn't burst like out Bijoy at the drop of a hat. Bijoy extemely low tolerance level means that his family doesn't take his ranting and fuming seriously.People with extremely low tolerance run the risk of losing the respect of their families. They are mostly unable to convince people to do things in the manner they believe is right. They can ,at most, blackmail them or shout to get their way. This helps in the short term, but doesn't work in the long term. Dev and Sona are also currently at very low tolerance levels which is why they keep falling off the rope of their lives and starting afresh each time.

The Sona before seven years was extremely high tolerance.Eager to please, she went out of her for people. She got pulled in all directions and was ultimately pushed off her tightrope. She had to start afresh

This is where Asha steals a march over her.Though we are not fully aware of the problems Asha faced in her initial years,Asha obviously did a better tolerance tightrope walk .Till today, she walks the tightrope perfectly, speaking up when necessary and keeping quiet when necessary.

I think the Boses and Dixits need to take a lesson from Asha on managing relationships and on the art of the tolerance tightrope walk.😊

Very True @rock & Roll...you nailed it...tolerance is a virtue...unfortunately in today's world tolerance is misconstrued as your weakness...all are upholding law of retaliation as the best method...you hurt me wait, I will hit you back in such a way that you will never forget...this is the accepted norm today...Asha is a relationship goal for everyone...because of her self-less efforts Bose family is hailed as the "perfect"family...she has complemented Bijoy and has brought improvements in him and his relationships with rest of the family..the noblest quality I see in Asha is she never walk around beating her chest and brag that they are what they are today because of her...and everyone in the family is aware of that...she is the (invisible) string that has tied the Bosefamily...she always communicates respectfully and honestly with the goal of reaching real resolutions...I feel she is the only one who is so sure that Sonakshi is not yet not over in her relationship with Dev...Unlike Bijoy, she never utters "I TOLD YOU SO"...I am waiting for the day when both Dev and Sonakshi ( I wish in the presence of Asha, because she is the catalyst in their relationship) own up to their mistake, acknowledge the pain it caused, show remorse, explain their actions and when appropriate, make reparations...Asha has been impressively free from prejudice against those with whom she had even bad experience and has always upheld live-and-let-live attitude toward life which is the success mantra of the bose family...

Lovely post!! Tolerance - that is what is missing in today's world or should I say more precisely from this forum. People forget that they are rude to real people for a fictional show. Absolutely no tolerance for another's point of view.
Asha is a great role model and thank you for highlighting it in your post.

Thank u everyone for taking out time to comment 😊 Posting my consolidated responses here
@ Keerthi . Thank u dear for ur replying
.

@ Drcs .. very well written . u r right .Asha is the only one who gets Sonakshi even better than Sona herself. She knows that Sona is not fully over Dev

@ Sheanuzz .. rightly said. Tolerance levels are plummeting to new lows.. in reel & real life.

@ Dhank.. Thank u so much dear. Will surely try to post more often.

Such a lovely post👏
I read it yesterday within minutes of your posting but couldn't login. Today, I logged in only to comment on this post, because it perfectly points out how Asha is able to command without losing respect.
Asha's words have gravity because she thinks, listens and then speaks. Unlike Bijoy or the new Sona, who just speak to vent out their anger.
Beautiful👍🏼

Anita...you have raised a very valid and important post. As we go down the generations, the tolerance level is also going down...The earlier generations were less educated; but they were more tolerant and were wiser than us. Today's generation believes in tit for tat, whether be it in family, workplace or society. And that is one reason for the rising number upheavals throughout everywhere. Noone is ready to forgive, why? Because, as I read in one of the writeups on Friday's episode, forgiving the other party also means we were also wrong to some extent and as we don't want to accept it, we are not ready to forgive.
Do keep posting such thought-provoking write-ups.
