Can we just imagine Asha in Dixit house and think if she could have pulled off Ish,Neha,GKB, Vicky all at one go without losing her cool as she did after only 6 days of Dev-BIjoy bickering? Easier said than done.

Agree that Asha is mild mannered, tries to understand, listen and then talk.Hence, people listen to her. But then even this tactics don't work in IN. Don't we have a mild-mannered Mamaji there too? Please tell me Mamaji's mild mannerisms work with GKB, Vicky and they respect him?
To give where credit is due, Sourabh,Bijoy,Dida and Sona love Asha and also they know where to draw boundaries in every relationship. Dixits and Tripathis fail to do that miserably. Example, Elena. Please tell me Elena actually gets love and respect in that house for being there all those 7 yrs.

Sorry but don't agree with the comparison between Sona and Asha. Boses and Dixits, are chalk and cheese for me.

True...Asha won't survive longer than Sona at IN.

Bold&Italic - Anita...you said it. For us, if giving up easily was cowardism; for the new generation, it is an act of heroism...The rising number of suicides among them shows the mirror to this fact. Recently, was shocked to hear the reason for the suicide of a 16-year old teenage girl. Her father didn't agree to her plan of gifting her mother a mother's day gift. For once, she never thought that with her that one act, what would be the state of the mother whom she loved most, would be. So, in an attempt to attain freedom & independency, we are losing some important values.

@bold..so true...😊

Shocked to hear abt the suicide of the young girl...It is indeed appalling and quite unnerving to hear and see the reaction of some youngsters at times

The no of student suicides and the number of youngsters in depression due to not having boyfriends/girlfriends or contemplating suicides due to break ups are just some of the examples of the general fabric of society today

We have Asha who could not tolerate a little bit of bickering and ended up making a huge blunder of locking her high BP patient husband without food, water and medicines with someone who he does not like at all.
Why be so mean to your life partner? But then when the tolerance level snaps we end up making such bad blunders. She put her own husband in a hostile situation that could aggravate his medical condition and look what happened.

The truth is that, though she preaches, she is not any better than Sonakshi in terms of tolerance.

My mom suffers from high BP and I would never want to put her in such hostile condition. She has such a fondness for salty snacks, but for people suffering from high BP it is a must avoid. So I would never lock her with a person who she detests and who might never stop her from indulging in what she likes but is bad for her health.

+1.
She likes to be in control. And wants everyone to be at peace with each other. Yet she doesn't want to listen to anyone's perspective.

She never talked to Bejoy regarding his concerns.. Heck, she dismissed them as immaturity. And now, she even neglected his health.

Asha believes in tolerance and condones anger or immaturity, as she believes that they only lead to remorse. But that's what makes her a hypocrite. Because when she is angry, she lets logic and sense go to smash and does what she wants. Otherwise, how would she not think of giving them food??

I think Cvs have changed her character. She was not like this before. She was sensible and tolerant THEN. in Season 1. But, oh well.. no pain, no gain.

You lose logic if you want DevAkshi.

Also, I agree that it was the Boses' fault that Bejoy is in such condition. Not Dev's.
They should have been been considerate about Bejoy. And I am not talking only about this incident.

Fantastic post.👏
It's a human nature ki hum unki zyada sure hain Jo reserve by nature hote hain yaa Jo right time pe right person se right words rehte hain.Asha falls in this category and that's the reason everyone listens to her when she speaks.

Hmm..Interesting take..I may not agree with everything u say..But just to clarify a few points .I never said that Asha tolerated more than what Sona did. .What Asha saw was just a fraction of what Sona ver 1 saw and tolerated. My point is that too much of tolerance is also not good..The point I was trying to make is that Sona ver 1 tolerated too much and was patient for too long.Whereas Asha understands the tipping point better than Sona..She tolerates where tolerance is required but also retaliates when reqd. Sona Ver 1 was all tolerance and Sona ver 2 is all retaliation. There is no balance. That was my point.

I think Asha understands Sona's struggles, but she is probably the only one to realize that Sona also had her share of weaknesses and mistakes.I personally did not find her patronizing when she talked about her adjustments with Bijoy. In fact I ,thought she downplayed her problems and just touched the tip of the iceberg(of her problems). And she did this to offer perspective to Sona. After all, only Asha can show Sona the mirror.

Asha is probably loved in the house because of what she went through. We will never know the real story.I think she handles Bijoy and his temper tantrums beautifully and in a very mature way.In turn,Bijoy loves and adores her. They make a perfect couple(As Sona said). But as Asha pointed out,the path to perfection was laden with stones and troubles.

But this is simply the way I see things from where I stand .Nice to read your pov and see a different perspective😊.We obviously disagree on a lot of fundamental issues and have completely different opinions on how to handle situations or react to problems...And that is fine..so long as we can agree to disagree ,listen to and respect each other's opinion it is wonderful to discuss and argue...After all through this process,we practice tolerance don't we?😳😊

How Asha would have reacted or behaved in the dixit household when she was in her 20s is debatable.Going by her current nature( or what the makers hv shown), my guess is she would have been as tolerant if not more than Sonakshi. And that is not a good thing. But she probably would have been a little more patient and mature.

This is pure speculation of course.
I am just trying to build an idea of what she might have been from what she is. And I could be way off the mark 😊

Of course, you have a point. Asha's ways work because the Boses are in general a loving family who listen to reason. Her ways wouldn't work with Vicky etc. But let us not insult her by comparing her to Mamaji. They r both mild mannered, but the similarity ends there.Mamaji is a big time diplomat and hardly ever takes a stand on anything. Asha is very unlike him
