BTW this might sound a bit out of context but I feel the need to mention it.Let's look at the couple in your DP.Some of my friends were praising them a lot and I always wondered why.They didn't even like to watch that show earlier.But ever since this new couple came they were hooked on to it.I decided to watch a few scenes out of curiosity.And I was blown away by the characterization of that couple.The girl is a strong willed person who has self respect and the guy respects her a lot.And they are very much in love with each other.THIS is a progressive love story.

On the other hand we have the so called progressive show KRPKAB where the guy does all sorts of ill deeds under the sun and gets away with it.How progressive!!!👏👏

The other show you are talking about( the one in my dp), even I started watching it after the leap and I went in with zero expectations bcz Indian TV show!!! And I was so taken aback!!! The ML is the what an ideal life partner should be. He is everything a girl expects from her life partner. He always takes a stand for her whenever he feels she is right. No manhandling, no foul language, no abuse - I was surprised that we have such a ML in an Indian TV show. He is also shown to have a bit of difficult past but he doesn't use that as a way to justify his wrongdoings.

That show has become my solace. Whenever I watch KRPKAB, I watch a few episodes of that show as well. Restores my faith in my ideologies.

a story being fictional does not mean it should be terribly written. in fact its the absolute other way around. authors write fiction investing their blood sweat and tears so that its good. its a taxing process. this attitude severely undermines that process. we consume fiction cos its supposed to be good. serving us subpar bs like this is literally cheating your consumers. we should absolutely expect better from the writers, thats what shows appreciation. not just nodding to whatever bs they serve- thats just agreeing to get cheated.

dude i read a pathetic useless story tonight and then watched this and a tubelight went in my head- this is literally desi version of fifty shades type shit books.

abusve hero speaking nonsense and being physically aggresive - check

the docile heroine who shows teeth only to go back to doormat - check

third angle who either say run away from the guy (bijoy) or encourage this toxi relationship (asha jatin soha) check

a third wheel who keeps dore daloying on male lead despite getting shit- ishwari - 10000 times check

exactly, real life is shit anyways so atlst give up reprieve in the form of fiction. thats the whole point. but nope they give high hopes and then slowly tear it apart, such sadist these people are.

The CVs think that whatever they sell is bought by us! The tweets praising the current track/Dev's dialogues and the beautiful creations on Dev's manhandle/the so-called tashan of Dev-Sona are signs of positive acceptance by the audience for the CVs as the tweeps tag Shaheer, Erica and Mamta everywhere. They are just playing along with the majority. Even the YT comments are futile.

Major twist in the plot : Dev will soon be diagnosed for SML (Selective Memory Loss). If not, the viewers should!😆

gross mindless fodder. atleast 50 shades is honest about what it is- soft po*n and no story. here toh there is no po*n nor any story. wth are these writers offering? you are so right though! a part of me was actually thinking how maybe they'd both be a lot more normal if they were both just honest about how they just kinda wanna sleep with each other. sona should do it, itd help her channel all the irrational sentiments about this man into night time activity and she could go back to being rational during the day. dev, a la the oedipal complex, just gets crabby when he doesnt get some. and hes pretty much not had any since soha came into his life.

But can't these ppl (PH and CVs) see that they are mocking our intelligence and thought process when they dish out stuff like this and expect us to consider it entertainment??

A few weeks ago when I started to watch this show, my sister was making fun of me. She asked me if I feel like I have too much IQ and want to lose a few points which is why I am starting to watch it. Looks like she was right
