Gul's strategy is that the ML manhandles the FL, rips a part of her blouse off and the heroine finds it romantic and will be in trance and later breaks out of it, hero pushes her in the fire/locks her up in a garage and later saves her himself and as u said the push-pull scenes, etc. I don't know how the audience look at it with a romance perspective, but I can say that I can anyday watch that crap without getting frustrated to this extent. They are strangers, know nothing about each other and behave as they please. Here, they freaking have a history and not to forget, a kid. Estranged couples do not behave this way. Indian TV soaps are stereotyped and not matter how "different" it starts, eventually falls into this pit!

How they can behave that way? Just read goodread you will understand, it's apprently a universal thing to love losers like Dev/asr/asad/shivaay/+10001 abusive jerks.
