Rest all you said that is Dev for you in 4- 5 months of his married life ..
But how fair is it to expect from a person like dev who was never taught to think of his own happiness but just to fulfill his family responsibilities for good 28 yrs and about whom Sonakshi knows that he not will think a second when it comes to his mom ( she got clear idea after first breakup)to change and take stand infront of his mother in a span of just 4-5 months...

I am not blaming Sonakshi either..but it's just unfortunate, because the kind of situations, insecurities( (ishwari),baggages (neha)and infertility of bride comes in any newly wed couples half of the couples may drift apart irrespective of them being good , mature, responsible...Dev was never a bad guy ..if he was Sonakshi wouldnt even think of bringing him into her daughters life ..for her dev failed to be a good husband but not as person..as no Motherr want a bad guy in her daughters life...

In my opinion, to any mother in the world, her son is the best and the same applies for a son regarding his mother. So there is no point seeing these relations through their eyes.
To Ishwari, 'Dev is my pride', but when he hid the truth/ lied, did she blame him? She at once regarded Sonakshi as the root of all this.

And no, my analysis is not just over just a span of 4-5 months, it is 8 long years.

Talking the least about Sonakshi here, she never wanted Dev to take sides. She was even irked whenever he lied. All she wanted(and so did we) Dev is to bridge the gap between her and Ishwari.

There are worst complications in marriage, and the biggest one is misunderstanding. But here every situation is crystal clear to each party. Then where is the problem in getting things sorted?

I hope your statement is sarcastic. 😆
Not talking much about Sona here as she is not at the centre of this topic. If she were a little more stiff, she wouldn't have survived even a week in Ishwari Niwas.

These are the million dollar questions that exist in most minds! I doubt if they will ever get answered! KRPKAB now is like a different serial altogether.. I have struggled to connect the story line and have given up. Just enjoying the episodes one day at a time.
Having said this, your analysis is great... and worth to be read by the makers...

Dev is the worst husband ever seen on Indian television and I swear I have seen many but Dev by far is the worst 😕 Either Dev has amnesia or CV's are delusional 😆

Valid questions, imnowhere! Regarding who's to be blamed more Ishwari or Dev, is a debatable point. Ishwari has always been insecure and resented the fact that Sona is her daughter in law, a person with whom she has to share Dev. But she never displayed her card in the open, she was discreet and was not upfront like GKB. Vicky had an easy way because GKB openly started badmouthing Elena initially which Vicky snubbed it in time. In case of Ishwari, she was an ace manipulator, playing slyly with Dev and Sona who had innocent minds. I was supporting Dev till the infertility track. That was the time when CVs showed that Dev is aware of the tension between his Ma and Sonakshi and a baby can diffuse the situation. I think at that juncture Dev should have been more aware of Sona's pain and should have sided with her. He knew Sona had not known her condition and he is the culprit by keeping this secret from Sona as well as his mother. He should have stood against his mother's wishes by saying he married knowing Sona's condition and would not force Sona for infertility treatment. But he behaved as a weak person and not capable of a good husband. Anyways thereafter it was downfall for him, be it slapgate, witnessing his in-laws defamation, pushing Sona, the way he handled prenup, Bose ouster from home. It is still continuing. Blame game, anger, manhandling, womanizing. 😕

Sorry, couldn't agree with you.The duties of a son doesn't end by hiring a dietitian for your mother or just by obeying her orders. If your cannot read your mother's silence or her strange behaviour you are not the best son. If your mother wants you to act in a certain way, it is your duty to find out why she wants you to do that.
When Ishwari was hospitalized due to overdose of sleeping pills, Dev instantly broke off with Sona. But did he ever ask her later, what she disliked in Sona? Did he ever ask what she expected from Sona? While lying about the fake pregnancy did he spare a thought on what will be the impact of this drama on his mom?
Ishwari's expressions are so sharp that even the dumbest person can read that there is a turmoil inside her? Dev is her own son.
If he thinks the luxurious life of Ishwari mansion is enough to keep his mother happy, then it is definitely his fault.
You don't need to judge your mother, just make an attempt to understand her.

I agree with some of your points, but do you think what Ishwari is expecting from her son is right? She is expecting him to be with her, and only love her lifelong.
As I have stated earlier as well that it's difficult to know for people. It's a serial first of all so we mustn't expect a lot of logic in it.But even in my own case, my grandfather has dementia..despite the fact that my grandmother was a doctor...she couldn't know that my grandfather was having the symptoms of dementia. She lived with him,she ate with him.It is difficult dear to know and understand.
Maybe this is not what happens every time but I am just narrating my experience..hope you understand.

Why ishwari didn't blame Dev? , as you said he is her pride so she will choose the other person only to blame...

If My mother has her own kind of insecurities, as a son I have to understand her , talk to her , figure out the reasons and help her out to come out of those and keep her in a happy place where she can be happy and let others stay happy . Then I will be the ideal son .

If my sister marriage is under risk , instead of giving in to her pressure I should be unbiased and talk to my brother in law and support them to sort their issues and help them to get together again. Then I will be ideal brother.

If my husband slaps my father why not it be a accidental slap for which he immediately rushes back and apologizes, I don't want to give any benefit of doubt but chose to walk out of house to save my fathers self-respect.. and that makes me a ideal daughter..

For my husband ,though I am only girl left on the planet to
love , but if lacks some spine and guts to build a bridge between me and my mother in law, I choose to walk out of marriage? Because that's makes me ideal woman if not ideal wife ... instead if i could figure out this one incapability of my loved husband and offers him some help and support that will make me a doormat who takes all crap..
Why ?why this bond dont deserve same respect, responsibility and commitment ? Why this bond should look for a easy way out? From above Dev was always been naive and immature in this one thing balancing and handling relationships , even after the kind of break up sonakshi got she didn't thought or worked on this flaw of Dev why ? Instead she chose to win ishwari but even there she couldnt figure out ishwari insecurities..as than dev who is blind folded with devotion ,it was easy for a 3rd party to see things better...

For ur last question ,why Dev hate Sonakshi, the fact is he don't hate her ...he is just frustrated and vents his anger that when he chose to live with her leaving his mother and family , she chose to leave him..

About 8yrs ...we haven't seen those seven years of neither dev nor Sonakshi 's so can't say about that ..

Thanks everyone for the replies.😊 It is always good to know everyone's opinion and experiences. And I do respect everyone's point of view. The idea here is not to put all allegations on any one character in specific and give a clean chit to the rest. We will discuss each character in detail under different threads. This one is dedicated to Dev.

And no, no one is taking sides here or venting out on some character. Each character has his/her share of mistakes and there no denying that. My initial post actually consists of the incidents which happened in front of everyone's eyes. According to me the points were quite obvious to cross the minds of Dev(read CVs) and I am surprised🤔 they didn't.
