Brushing her comb in her hair, as it made her loose natural curls fall over her back as she saw her reflection, her being deep in thoughts, lost. She just couldn't get over so many facts... First one, he changed her clothes, yeah, looks a big problem for her though even not for him! Then his eyes, they play with her more than his hands, his body language... Something's totally fishy, Sonakshi thought & rested her hands on the dressing table, closing her eyes shaking the flashes of their just made encounter in morning... She blinked her eyes & flicked her hairs... "Okay! Clam down! To get out of here, I will need to dwell in this whole matter..." Sonakshi turned around & rested her form on dressing table facing window, "But how? I need to see to this." Diverting her eyes to the daylights coming into room, it just filled her with positivity.

Walking towards her bed, she sat & took a deep breath, she was thinking from morning & now she doesn't have that leisurely time to just ponder upon. She needs to act now. Sonakshi knows this decision can cost her very much, so much that can make her repent also. Make her cry too & maybe it is making her giving in to him. This is dangerous, should she really carry on with it... Sonakshi thought while chewing her breakfast. She was hungry, she forgot it due to every absurd thing happening around her but the smell of the mouth-watering food's aroma hitting her made her hunger grow just more...

Stepping out of her room, she was surprised it wasn't locked. That she expected it to be. As she walked to one stair cases, raising her eyes up, she first time realized how it looked exactly like the fairy-tale house she has seen in childhood in those Disney movies. Just like the palace where Cinderella stepped in to the ball taking place in the Prince's palace. But here her story wasn't that of a Cinderella but maybe her story was that of The Beauty & The Beast where there was no ending, just a drifting away, ten times more pain felt by her than Bella... And she will be the sufferer, always. She is enchanted to be kept here as if a prisoner. She wants to break this spell & couldn't bear this wholesome torture anymore, without a reason. And she was still in pain of yesterday's events.

She remember, she had called her mother yesterday, in his absence, when she called, her mother flooded with questions on her & the concern, which made her lie to her. If she would have told him about how her husband tortured her, in this, 21^st century, he seeks just revenge from her, on what, she would have to find it today... And then Maa would have been hyperventilating which she doesn't want. She doesn't wants to trouble her as she is already troubled over Baba. Not telling her, she just tried sounding happy & thought how unfair of life where she couldn't even seek any help.

She couldn't help but remember a incident of her life spent long tired years by fighting for her dignity & still getting bruised at end. But somewhere between every hurt been given to her... She had her Baba, Maa, Dada, Vicky & dog, Champ who cheered her up... They could not save her from getting butchered but were supporting her! If her Baba would have been here, then he would have taken her away from here, away from every trouble! As she was her Baba's princess & will be forever... And he would have saved his daughter but cannot... she remember, going to her Kolkata house's garden in morning when a 6 years girl holding her father's finger roamed around...

A beautiful sunrise was there, shining it's rays on every flower present in the small wooden villa of Bose's garden... Never they knew this tranquillity was not for forever just sometimes taken as today maybe...

As the flowers blossomed & as the cool air of Kolkata, simply hit them making every thought reminiscent of their' home, culture & spent days...

There was serenity that was all one would have ever wanted anything more than that & a small girl holding her father's big finger in small hand... Was walking around the garden, talking & laughing over facts that her Baba teased his princess with...

She was the fav of her father but then she didn't knew those moments were only a guest appearance in her life until...

She was taken away far & tortured by her own family not ever worth of been called a family...

Not until, she would miss the warmth of sun & a parent's love who were there but not with her at any present moments...

Not until she was... like today she is.

Shaking her head, she blinked through her little tears threatening to roll out from corner of her eyes... She had to focus on present, not what's gone to never return back again...

Sweeping her long asymmetrical red anarkali on the last step of stair, as she held herself fine... She came into the middle of palace, as she turned her head left to right to figure out, assume, where the library would be... That suddenly Mia, the cook appointed, came from back. Sonakshi called to her, "Umm.. Hey! Can you just tell me the way to library..." Mia scrunched her eyebrows but then nevertheless expressed the directions to library & turned back to her work walking away.

Sonakshi had her heart beating all fast. Her body told not to go there as she could smell something fishy! She was always scared of every damn rendezvous with the Dev Dixit! She finally got herself to the door of library & then was about to open the doors but stopped... Turning back & closing her eyes she sighed & thought that she just need to get out of this for her & her family's betterment...

She kept aside her fears for once & then turned back to door & stepped forward. Pushing the wooden doors of library she came inside & she knew she was spell bounded!

As she came inside, doors flung themselves to close again, but she didn't took notice as she was in awe of the library... Never did she would have seen such a big library with big shelves & many rows as they arranged themselves beautifully with books placed all over those shelves...

Call her a bookworm but she loved books. They were truly best companion one could ever get... they kept secrets & never even revealed them, no trust issues, no commitments... that is why she loved reading. A hobby though she never got to read in presence of her Chachi Chacha but still found some or the other time to read novels & psychological books...

She was inspecting whole library with awe eyes thinking if she would have lived here, then one would have found her always in this library... Until a voice interrupted her thoughts, "Enough of checking out the library Cupcake. Now care to give a check in your legal husband... Argh! I'm tired by foreplay..."

Sonakshi knew who it was, as she turned around slowly & heard Dev banging a glass of old whiskey on table. Sonakshi raised her eyebrow, "Cupcake?" Dev took a glance at her & then nodded. Then he took the glass again & started rising up from table where he was half seated & started walking towards Sonakshi, answering her, "Hmm Hmm... Cupcake that too red velvet flavoured..." Gesturing her red suit she wore. Frowning on his flirt comment, she covered herself by the duppata dropping it on her both sides of shoulders now.

Sonakshi sighed but then started, "Mr. Dixit, I know something really big revenge thing is there in middle of this whole thing which is destroying my life. I don't know that what is it all about. Aap mujhe batayege toh great! But at least I should be knowing &... I demand from you to tell me that why did you married me? Agar zindagi barbaad karni hi thi toh shaadi karke kyun? Aise hi aap toh kar sakte the..." as she tried sounding not scared but knew her hands would tremble if she didn't had both hands entwined in each other.

On other hand Dev who was listening to everything she said, smirked at last & then sipping from his glass, he moved towards her from where he had stopped. "Hmm... so someone is feisty, hmm? Okay! No offence (mocking her by raising his hands as if surrendering). So you literally don't know what is this whole thing your Chachi planned up to or I planned?" Sonakshi shaking her head as Dev came & at last stood in front of her... Dev gazed her intently as Sonakshi lowered her eyes not able to gaze more strongly towards him... Sipping on alcohol as he opened his mouth to say something, Sonakshi took few steps back & kept a hand on her mouth & nose, not able to tolerate strong alcoholic smell coming from him... Dev stumbled a bit but then raised his eyebrows as he stepped forward, Sonakshi shouted at him, "Stop right there & don't you come any closer to me! You smell..." Dev interrupted her but, "Tasty? Right! You wanna taste this(pointing glass of alcohol) or me?" Dev winked at her. Sonakshi shook her head in despair & then holding her hands up in gesture to stop him, said, totally annoyed, "NO! Awful! You smell awful! I can't believe it! You're drunk! I mean seriously, day drunk? Ekdom pagol! Okay stop right there & just answer my question!"

Dev pouted & then cribbing over said, "I ain't day drunk, Mrs.Dixit!" And then smiled over a bit & then pulling one hand of hers from his other free hand, he pulled her closer while she scrunched her nose & turned away her face as he stated up, "You can't order me or question me or even demand from me, The Dev Dixit as you are just a bitch who is here for me to f**k. Plus what are you questioning about, Haan? Why I married you?" He lowered his head & rubbed his nose on her cheek while she tried taking her hand out of his grip that suddenly he left her hand. And then started laughing whereas Sonakshi didn't as to why he is laughing...

Rubbing her wrist, she stared at him as if he is mad... Then Dev taking up a little alcohol, started going around her in rounds, he started speaking, "You know mera plan sirf yahi tha that I would marry you be it anything & simply destroy your life... And the thing of whole marrying you was only so I could torture you for all the time I want to. Plus to give a life long hateful life, not a loving married love life in addition to all hurting from my side..." As Sonakshi fluttered her eyes to understand... Dev spoke again, "But your f**king Chacha-Chi who decided to sell you!" As Dev came from behind Sonakshi & then trailed her arms from behind, making her shiver as he suddenly held her arm tightly pulling her back onto his chest & whispered in her ears, "You would be knowing that why they would sell you? No! Because it would earn lots of money by selling you & plus bonus point would be a greater price for selling your V-card! I know it baby! Be grateful to me that you will be giving your true virgin self to your husband!" And winked at her, kissing her at her nape...

Sonakshi who quivered listening to his talks, pushed him & came out of his grip to face him & shouted, "Never! Never am I going to give you the control over my body!" Dev didn't say anything but simply smiled.

Sonakshi furiously, "What? Why are you smiling?" Dev shook his head & then said, "No I'm just wondering when to f**k you really hard to show you that I Don't Care! And wait... listen the best part of this story... As they decided to sell you, how could I have let them to do so. So, So, So, when I came up with the marriage proposal for you, they rejected as they, very diligently wanted to make you a prostitute! Right? But what to do, I'm so kind that I could have never let you really go to some other man! And so I made deal to your bitch, I mean your Chachi! (Mockingly mouthing) Sorry Dear! I decided to have the ball in my court(walking around her & leaning sometimes) & I would do anything i.e. shut them up with a price!" As everything made a crystal clear appearance to Sonakshi as she trembled in fear, Dev staring her continued, " I gave them double the price they were willing to sell you on but only if they married you to me... And so they got the price & I got the possession..." As Dev nuzzled between her neck & shoulder, sliding her hair to one side... As he poured the little whiskey on her arm, rubbing it slowly up & down...

While Sonakshi stood dumbstruck hearing all revealations about her body being sold... Not wanting to cry & crib, she thought to question next thing to him. Coming out of his grip she stepped away with her back facing him, she muttered, "And... and what about the revenge you always... always talk about..." Not able to hide her nervousness with stuttering with her words... Listening her Dev tightened his grip on her arm rubbing it vigorously making it sticky due to alcohol poured upon her... Sonakshi just observed. And then he stopped at once & dig his fingers in her flesh of arms that she whimpered a bit in pain.

Leaving her at once, he walked in front of her with back facing & sipped the last remains of glass... Sonakshi rubbed her arm & then spoke up again, "Batayie mujhe, aaj aapko batana hoga ki ye aap Baar Baar kis... kis revenge Lene ki baat karte hai? Kya Kiya hai maine jisse aap mere... mere saath ye saara torture aur itni takleef Dena chahte hai..." She spoke only after gaining some confidence with him leaving her. While Dev tightened his grip on the glass he was holding & before she could even finish her saying, Dev turned around furiously & threw the glass a step aside Sonakshi in anger, shredding it into pieces... while Sonakshi flinched with his sudden response over her words, she had already expected this reaction even though thought maybe he would listen to her & tell her about all stuff entangled here as in something dangerous...

As if something strike Dev's mind after she uttered those words... Sonakshi, feared by the reaction, raised her black orbs to meet his dark brown orbs... She could see he was hyperventilating & grasping for calm breaths still his body mechanism didn't allow him... Those eyes turned blood red & nerves of hand prominent due to fists held in such power that she felt already doomed. She didn't wanted him to be the same as wedding night or she didn'tknow how would she save herself, after all that happened yesterday also... No! These were all thoughts she could think until...

A rough hand pushed her back by holding her neck by Dev only to pin her to a shelf of books... So hard he had pushed & pinned her at one of the shelf that some books fell from above & past them, as Dev remained unmoved by his place... Intact! Holding Sonakshi...

Sonakshi was trying to get out of the grip he had on her neck which was suffocating her & making it difficult for her to breathe due to his hold. She punched down his hands with her small fists, not enough for his steely grip on her. Dev who was just holding her & staring at nothing with bloodshot eyes, angered & his other hand punched at the side of Sonakshi scaring daylights out of Sonakshi as many books fell from the shelves due to the sudden force of punch.

Sonakshi whimpered & grasped for breath as he began in deadly voice, "Sonakshi, pata hai, ye question tum puchne ki himmat rakhti ho, Janta hoon main Magar tumhe apni himmat yahan dikhane ki zarrorat nahi hai. Aur tum jitni Baar puchogi utna tum sahogi... Better never question this as you are not capable of questioning this to me." He banged his fist in anger to calm down as he left the grip, slowly from her neck, letting her breath.

Still pinning her by keeping both hands on her sides, he took deep breaths to calm himself while Sonakshi breathed slowly & fear had made her tears falling from her eyes in pain & fear. Only fear.

Dev opened his eyes & first time Sonakshi could see him blinking some tears as if remembering something... Dev muttered as if in some trance, audible enough for Sonakshi to hear, "Meri family, mera sab kuch chin gaya. They won't come back to me, they left me. I am all al... alone! All alone! Alone!" Dev took one his one hand back & rubbed his face while Sonakshi stood erect & just stared at him & his act, his words i.e. she just observed for now. Dev fisted his hair & then rested his arm on side of Sonakshi trapping her again... As he whispered, "I'm sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. I know I have to hurt this girl but why are you not allowing me... Why?" Sonakshi scrunched her eyebrows, not able to understand anything. Dev suddenly blinked hard & took a glance at Sonakshi... who was all scared & teary eyed.

He suddenly backed out & then turned to his back facing her. Sonakshi was all quiet, not because she is scared but she was seeing him vulnerable for first time maybe...

Dev suddenly shouted making her gasp in surprise, "Go! Sonakshi just leave from here & rest in your room! Leave before I do something that would not leave your existence breathing here, right now! So just... Go!" As he frustratingly pulled his hair & then tried to calm himself. For Sonakshi this was a surprise, that he was letting her go but the thing that her body, mind & heart was telling her something else... as in staying here & taking the risk of at least questioning about what made him so angry about that he was ready to rip her heart apart & throw it across the room.

Sonakshi stepped forward & then said in low voice, still shivering, "Mr. Dix..Dixit, Main bhi yahi... yahi jaan na chahti hoon ki... akhir aisa kya trigger kiya abhi, kya hai wo jo aap mujhe maar bhi sakte the ya maar sakte hain? Koi nahi chahega ki wo apni zindagi is tarah barbaad kare ya kisi ko karne de... isiliye main... main jaan na chahti hoon aapka past aur kya... kya motto hai behind this revenge?" Her voice getting lower by the end. Dev looked at his shoulder & then calmed down himself by taking deep breaths... He turned around to face her, this time his face giving blank expression with eyes still a bit red.

Dev stepped back & then said in deadly voice, "Maan na padega, matlab tum main itni himmat abhi bhi hai inn sab ke baad ki wahi cheez tum dobaara puch rahi ho... Sonakshi!!!! (rubbing his forehead & shaking his head in despair, he chuckled, after some time) Okay tum jaan na chahti ho na mere past ke baare main, mere revenge ke baare main... toh thike magar... ek deal!"

Sonakshi gave a questioning look, as if knowing what was the deal. Dev stepped forward coming right infront of her, just a step away, then he bended a little only to be a breath away now, "If you spend a night with me, I would tell you one thing about what you want to know after each night..." He smirked knowing she wont agree & leave bothering him...

Sonakshi was silent which seemed eternity & then when he was about to get back, she uttered slowly, "Okay!" And then stared at him in eyes while he raised one eyebrow in surprise but then smiled & shook his head in despair.

"You think I'm joking? I mean... you agreed as if it's nothing!" Dev said. While Sonakshi shaked her head negatively trying to sound unfazed by his words but deep down she knew she was scared to even face the fact that she would give her body away to a man, still unknown only to know him...

Dev stared at her, & blinked down, thinking she was bluffing but he knew she wasn't as in to get out. Not that he didn't wanted this, any day sooner, he was, in fact, going to force her but somewhere thought of his parents reprimanding him for this heinous act stopped him. But this time he would give her one last chance & if she didn't backed out, then she should be ready to see a beast...

He quipped calmly, "You know you are facing a beast."

Sonakshi smiled ruefully & shook her head negatively, saying slowly, "No, I believe I'm talking to a man broken beyond dreams maybe!"

And time stopped maybe because no one said what she said! Both stared each other, trying to find out what they want only getting those answers unexpected & something soulful.

Knowing this was going to get more raunchy, more dangerous, a little more hateful & a little more scary... Were they ready for something expectedly unexpected ride?

This is a setup for next chapter which is something mature & raunchy to upside down someone's life...

I' sorry for not updating! Exams & 10th didn't allow me! Plus I had some health issues, even now which was to be taken care of! So I got late but I thank you all for being so patient!

I think this chapter got boring but as I said this was a setup... for upcoming.

and only thing I would say is I miss KRPKAB, my DevAkshi very much! Lets make them live in our imagination at least! My FFs wont stop least the show got off air...😊
