But despite knowing the truth this constant state of denial and this constant blame game portraying him and his family some kind of victim are getting on my nerves.

I have no problem if he continues to do his duty. But if he is back to his recent fawning over mummy attitude, then he should not keep on verbally flogging Sona for his mother's doing.

This entitled, arrogant and unwilling to face the truth attitude is what ruined his marriage in season 1 and it seems that he learned absolutely nothing.

This is what I wrote yesterday in Zed's post.

It's one thing to be a father. Any man can be a father. But to be a dad a child regardless of gender can look up to and respect, one needs to be a good human being and a good human being is also respectful specially to that said child's mother. Sonakshi is an excellent mother to have raised such a delightful little girl. Even if she was the worst wife under the sun (which she was obviously not), Dev still needs to show respect to the mother of his child, if not his ex-wife. Had anyone behaved with his mother the way he behaved with his daughter's mother, we all know what he'd have done to them. If he does not want to face the same attitude from Soha, he needs to change his attitude pronto.

I don't expect him to be best buddies with Sona. But I expect him to be polite to her instead of behaving like an ass. However, how he had been behaving since Monday is more than okay. I don't care if he hates Sona because she is his ex. Although his constant whining and blaming Soha for that hate which he clearly knows was his mother's doing is getting on my nerves. If he conveniently forgot what his mother did, he has no right to blame Sonakshi for anything anymore.

Points so well written...

Well he was behaving an ass ... and even now ...

I also look him to be a coward ... made his wife run up and down during a crisis and he drowned in alcohol ...absolutely coward

You see Fandw, Dev was like those people who like those lofty concept of intelligence, strength, feminist ideas in theory. But when in practical life they have to live by those principles where they have to let go of their privileges associated with their gender, they don't like those qualities anymore.

Let me give you an example. There was an YouTube video I saw. It was a channel doing social research. They asked people about rape victims and how they should be treated. A lot of men and women said that rape victims should be treated decently. The rapist should be punished. Rape victims should be integrated into the society and should not be victimized which is not their fault.

Fine so far. The next question was that to fight against victimization and stigmatization of rape victims, would they will marry (if men) or let their family members like brother, uncle, son, nephew marry a rape victim?

Suddenly all those voices who were vocal about women empowerment and were speaking against victimization and stigmatization, backed off saying that their family is conservative, their society is conservative, they have to live in their communities etc etc to the reasons like they would like to marry a virgin, how would they know if the child she gives birth to is their or not etc etc.

Dev is the same. When it comes to his family's women, he is very much supportive of intelligence (Neha), independence (Riya), Feminist (Nikki). Because these qualities in his sisters doesn't affect him since his mother is neither of above and always gave her lion's share attention to him. Besides they will get married and leave anyway. And he fully expects their husband to be even a bigger feminist so that his sisters are treated better. In fact if anything more like princesses.

However, those same qualities in a wife means she won't accept anything and everything his mother and him are used to. They won't get to have the privilege of unquestioned and unchallenged nepotism and favouritism. They will also *gasp* have to share and make space for her individuality. That means they will have less privilege. That is not acceptable at all.

The last day Dev admitted that he wishes Sona was a robot whom he could control. And even today his problem is the same. She is self-sufficient, successful and strong from within unlike him who is dependent on people. First his reason for happiness was Ishwari, then Sona and now Soha. That's why he is never happy exactly like Neha. First she wanted love, then money. But nothing made her happy.

Even if Sona gives Dev his heart's desire and gives him Soha and walks away, he still won't be happy. Because Soha is a person, not a toy with her own thoughts, ideas and her own wishes. He can give her everything money can buy today. But his love is like Ishwari's. When tomorrow Soha grows up and moves away, what will be the reason for his happiness then? Then he will clutch onto Soha like Ishwari clutches onto him.

I am so fed up of hearing intelligent, independent, strong, feminist kind of things from Dev to sonakshi. He talks as if its like an insult or a crime, hate his attitude towards Sonakshi. Is he the same man who used to be proud of his girlfriend for being all the above?I I don't understand this bullshit track of falling in love with sonakshi again, tashan or realizing his love for sonakshi whatever it is. What does him realizing his love for sonakshi will achieve when he does not even consider he is at fault for whatever has happened. If he had thought about it he would have gone looking for her 7 years ago, what will he realize now?

Tia, You put things so precisely and analyse, express so well. Its an art and you are very good at it. You decoded Dev so well and this attitude and personality of Dev makes me so irratating and sick that I cannot symapthize with him on anything.

I actually enjoyed yesterday's episode..Unintentional hilarity all round..Shaheer and Erica have fantastic chemistry which is probably the only thing saving the show right now 😆
1. That bun needs to go. It hurts my eyes. They can atleast braid her hair if not leave it open..Sona's current get up is all kinds of ridiculous. I mean just compare this to the way Dev and Sona used to dress up when the show started/in the initial phases of the show.. Soha needs to be shown those pictures so that she atleast asks them- ab kya ho gaya mummy papa. why are you guys looking so horrible now?' 😆
2. Dev with his 'Soha ke liye' chant sounds like Raman from YHM who used to keep chanting 'Ruhi ke liye' to camouflage his feelings for Ishita 😆 Am really looking forward to a scene where he actually gets Soha but is on the verge of losing Sona..Am almost certain Dev would never be happy even if he got Soha's complete custody if that means Sona wouldn't be with him..He deludes himself so he can live in peace 😆
3. Am done with GKB's english..They are trying to ape Mamiji from IPK. But the difference is that that was genuinely funny..This is annoying..And no forced marriage or sacrifice track please..Am almost certain they are going that way cos Sourav is already in love with Ronita so the marriage not happening will break his heart. But please dont insert a Sona leaving the house or Sona agreeing for re-marriage track in between this..we already saw something similar in the first week of the show where Dev agreed to marry to save his sister's life and Ishwari's insecurity saved the day 😆
4. I really hope they act mature and stop fighting like kids post this summer camp track. If there is zilch progress and they go back to square one, this track with its lack of logic will also become pointless.. But then most tracks have been pointless on this show and lead to nowhere so no point hoping 😆
5. Someone teach Soha how to say 'Mr.Dixit'. I swear it sounds like D-shit 🤣 The girl needs diction classes asap 😆

Now, Soha is placing conditions to stay away from Dev-Sona since she cant be with them together 😆

Gayi bhains paani mein ..phirse...ab toh full confirmation Sonakshi is coming soon to IN.

Dev does not know this yet...once Dev knows about what his daughter wants, he will get it at any cost...like he got Sona for his mom at any cost and Sona being Sona will end up in IN.

Very little hope left now...brace urselves for no-redemption-remarriage track

Very nice analogy Tia. Wonder when Dev realizes the enemies within the family. The way he sidesteps the issues involving Ishwari, GKB and Vicky is disturbing. What will make him realize the follies of his family?
I liked the fact they used computerized graphics for snake! 😆 I don't like reptiles as such. Shaheer and Erica were good in their comic timings. I guess we should enjoy these Ishwariless and thereby harmless episodes before the heavy melodrama starts. 😊

I feel like crying. I hope it doesn't happen like that. How can sona go back to dev even for Soha?
