We have lost the freshness and charm of the show. See below from an article on shows that took leaps and still didn't succeed.

The couple parted ways and the show took a leap of seven years. The once a love-dovey couple are now always at loggerheads in the show. Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi was a show that was loved for its fresh treatment, but unfortunately it took the clichd way and thus lost its soul. "

... A track that shows Dev regretting 6 years of not just life with SOHA but also with SONA... would they have been able to gel? Can we get out of the 'my beti' mode?
... A track that shows Dev now being more mature with his daughter, his family and supporting Sona in her role as Soha's primary parent
... A track where he gets his act together and
... A track where he tries to find happiness for SONA. Show some responsibility for her! After all - she is the one who's struggled as he wasted his years away
... A track where he asks himself: "why didn't I go after her, why didn't I reach out"
