C'mon c'mon, turn the kerosene stove on,
Its waris night and I won't be long,
Gotta light it up, bring the halwa game on.

Till I hit the kitchen floor, hit the kitchen floor,
I got all I need, I ain't got Sonakshi, I ain't got Sonakshi,
But I got Dev & his baby.

I don't need no Sonaaakshiii,
As long as I get a baaabyyy,
I love baby thrills!

😆 Btw, if anyone is wondering, the actual song is cheap thrills by Sia. Go hear it once and you'll be able to get these modified lyrics of mine better. 😆

Husna Di these lyrics suit Ishwari perfectly🤣

I see people finding fault that Sona is not initiating the conversation and letting her be in the emotional mess. However that is not how it works with the kid. We cannot have a conversation with a kid unless they feel free to talk about it, no matter who you are, mom, dad, sis doesnt matter. It has to come up from the kid to actually have a resolution to the problem.

That reminded me of Vidya Balan's scene from Kahaani 2 as well, despite knowing how painful it is for the kid, she kept on preparing the stage for the girl to confess, but never blurted out what she already knows. Kids are sensitive that's why parenting is a skill. Hope Sona successfully brings out the thoughts of her so that Soha is back to normal.

Exactly. It's extremely tough to get into a child's mind.I have faith in Sona. She will manage to get Soha open up to her for sure.

Hey Tia, yet another lovely Analysis. Its a pity that I don't get the time to comment on your post often.
Ishwari is the kind of MIL who is Passive Aggressive. When Sona was Married to Dev, she never gave them the privacy and understood the concept of boundaries. She thinks interfering in their personal life was a gesture of love. Dev the quintessential dutiful son (or so he thought) could not find a balance between keeping his wife and mother happy. He conveniently forgot that he had an obligation towards his wife too. This resulted him lying to the two ladies he loved most.
Sona too tried her best to maintain the balance to prevent the relationship from disintegrating but failed because she found the control that the mother had over the son was immense. I would not call Ishwaris relationship with her son a bond between a mother and a son because in a bond both parties are free and act per rules of the relationship. But here Dev is a captive of his mother's love. Her love is not the nurturing kind. Its more a destroying kind.

I don't blame Sona either even though she was too docile for my liking. I understand that a woman who puts up with all the nonsense is her marital home is also considered to be strong . But do they realise the emotional trauma that they put their children through? Outward the child may seem normal but as the grow, the scars become visible. Those scars come to the fore only when as adult they get into relationships.

Dev failed miserably as a husband and as a son. He may have given his mother the luxuries of life, a name and status in the society. But many a times, he hid things from her. Not because he was doing the incorrect things but because he knew that her over possessiveness would never allow him to give prominence to another relationship. Thus he hid the truth about her fertility and many other situations that followed.

What's worse was Ishwari disrespect to Sona's family. GKB would go on bad mouthing the Bijoys and Ishwari in turn would say that even though she does not agree with what GKB says, GKB is right with her statements. Tell me, why should Sona put up with such nonsense. But the stupid girl did. The slap was the final straw that broke the camels back and it was about time.

All along Ishwari has been waging verbal and emotional attacks on Sona, Dev and her family. Dev did nothing to stop them. No one knows his family better than him. He has a history with them. He knows their whims and triggers and it was his responsibility to protect Sona. But what he did was atrocious. Forcing her to have IVF without her consent and many other things he tried to do could be challenged in a court of law. His actions were deplorable.

Once again I see history repeating. Ishwari will lure the granddaughter and try to keep her away from her mother. And our mute Dev will be a bystander caught once again not between 2 but 3 females. I am not even sure if Sona will be aware of Soha's visits to the Dixit household. I wonder if Soha too will be subjected to her emotional blackmails.

People claim that the Sona and Dev are still in love. Are we mistaking care for love? I doubt she would have the same feelings of love for him after what has transpired. How can one expect her to love him when all she gets in return is taunts, insults and accusations.

If the woman is the home builder she is also the home breaker. In this instance, both Ishwari and GKB are alike. Both woman know how to control the other and manipulate the situation to their benefit.

I am an Indian born and brought up in the west. I can never understand why a woman is told to tow the line when there are no lines in sight for the men. That is beyond me.

There you go. I have finished my rant and now I feel better.
