Wonderful post Tia. I wait for your review everyday before I take a shot at the show. Today my heart goes out to Sonakshi. She just witnessed her child in distress and she as a mother very scared... All throughout her encounter with Dev first time I saw fear. Fear for her daughter and her happiness. After listening to Dev blaming Sonakshi i really wonder whether Dev will ask the same questions with his mother that he asked Sonakshi today? " What kind of mother are you? Who keeps a father away from his daughter?"

Did you notice that dirty smile of Dev when he saw Sonakshi' name on his phone! This man is filled with sheer vengeance! For god sake, do you even realise that the lady you're itching to hurt was the one who had filled your life with happiness at some point of time. If you couldn't value that happiness in your life, you dare not blame her for messing your life!

I still haven't seen a lot of episodes but my biggest problem with Dev in the post marriage phase was how he just expected Sonakshi to settle in and for everything to be just okay. Sonakshi was SO SO RIGHT. He only tried finding temporary solutions to problems instead of solving them from the root.

That scene where he comes to ask Sonakshi ke bas haan boldo maa ko ghar laana hai from mandir, and she's like but Dev what if this doesn't work?
Kuch nahi, KUCH NAHI, all he could've done and said was 'Sonakshi it will never matter to me or to ANYONE in this house' pointing at maami and others, or just assure her but what does he say? 'yeh waqt in baaton ka nahi hai.'

Then he doesn't even sit and ask her whether she WANTS this treatment and he doesn't even say ke if you don't we're not going to do it. Forget everyone else.

The Shimla trip. He should've gone angrily to the manager right away and told him to do away with every single thing his mom ordered.

The birthday, jhoola so many incidents.
HERE nowhere is he disrespecting his mother ^ but he's taking a proactive stand for his wife too! But nahi, he treated her abominably in his desperation to please Ishwari 24*7.

I prefer an actor+character combo the best. Watching an actor deliver a brilliant performance gives me a high regardless of what the actor is performing. Woh alag baat hai Ishwari or Dev ko jhelna impossible hota jaaraha hai. But this show made me appreciate Shaheer Sheikh as an actor. bhai ko horror/crime movies toh araam se milengi ab.😆

He lied to her about her pregnancy! He told Sonakshi to go tell his mother to carry on with Rhea's shaadi PLAYING PING PONG WITH HER before he came to his senses (another lie series there). Exactly.This is the Tripathi clan.Poor Late Mr Dixit is getting defamed due to the kaarnamas of his beloved wife and son.

I remember Shaheer said in an interview it's a critically acclaimed show and gives him immense pleasure to have played Dev.. It's one of those shows which gives you this peaceful smile on your face before you go to sleep and makes your day bright. That was during the dev-sonakshi pre breakup era. (before 100 episodes)

I wonder what he thinks now.🤣
