Genuinely confused with the CVs

Hi Everyone, hope you guys had a wonderful weekend and have an even more amazing week ahead..
So even before I start my post, I would like to make it VERY CLEAR that this post is not about taking sides with Sonakshi or Dev, but my genuine question to the CVs as a fan who has been watching the show for a long time. I just thought of writing this post after seeing the video of Sonakshi holding a baby outside dixit house.

On one side, the CVs have given us a woman, who is mature, independent and clearheaded in Sonakshi (genuinely happy to see such a character like her in Tv). On the other side, you HAD given us an emotional, manipulative, yet a kindhearted and genuine human being in Dev (one of the best and favorite heroes in Tv). My question is but why postleap they have made sure not to miss a single loophole to show Sonakshi the woman she is (the video, my guess is to answer the question of why Sonakshi dint tell Dev about Soha before), yet have chosen to butcher Dev's character so much, making him so dumb.

Why butcher your own hero beyond redemption, where the viewers feel the IQ of a kid is much better than his. I have seen a lot of parents with more than 1 kid favor one child to make the other toe the line. Somehow I feel same here, like they are trying to show Sonakshi more genuine (btw she is), but at the cost of spoiling the ML character.

I think they should really come up with a better storyline than this. Just my take.

Honestly even I fail to understand where this story is going unless CVs provide a good backstory for Soha's existence without Dev's knowledge after looking at the teasers. It seems like it is an afterthought to justify one character at the cost of the other . Hopefully they show all the three important characters in a balanced manner at the end of day because this was the whole purpose of getting the leap track.

Post leap I am watching these episodes as a stand alone so enjoying it more. It works for me!

The problem with Dev is that , he doesn't OR I should say that he is not ready to accept anything that is against his mom and anything/anybody associated with her.

Even about Soha he is kind of clear that if she is not adopted then she has to be his daughter...but he wants to confirm this from Sonakshi/her family or an evidence from their house.

He only sees what he wants to see...even after all this in last weeks episode when Sona says "Purani yadein thazza hogai" his reaction to that was "What do you mean Sonakshi" ??!!

So here again he knows Sonakshi is talking about how manipulative his mom is ...and he is well aware that his mom had a huge role to play for their separation...but even then at that point in time he plays "DUMB"!!

Now if you ask me, in real life ...are there characters like these...my answer would ..YESSS!! There are sons who will not move a pin with out mom's permission even after marriage. Such characters will change or begin to change ONLY when they have their own kids .

I am hoping that Soha would be able to help Dev and Sonakshi to rediscover their love .

They want to show two ppl
One who always knows the difference between right and wrong and chosing a wrong path is not even an option for her

Orher One who is good otherwise but waver and cant stick to right path when it is not convenient

To be honest, I am confused as well. All the characters seem to be contradictory. I feel Dev's character has been butchered majorly, while most people connected to Sona, I connected to Dev. His attitude mirrored mine, and typically people like me aren't the ideal hero/heroine (we supposedly make up 1% of the total population). But later on, a lot of the things he did seemed to be out of character, now I can only connect to some aspects, not like a majority like a used to.

Valid concern dear..

My only comforting answer I have right now is just like CVs will be showing a FB of Sona's decision for keeping Suha away, am sure they have some backstory for Dev being away from Boses . I don't think CVs are that clueless to stop their ML to go behind his love's family when they are in streets even after knowing about it (Especially when this guy knows how easy it is to break something in seconds but takes years to build it😳).

For now am enjoying the episodes taking one at a time and trusting CVs with some patience😊

Am also curious and waiting to see some big positive trait in Dev's character. I hadloved the charachter for his innocence and his only mistake was loving his mom and family beyond limit which made him do wrong things to keep them happy. i hope CVs dont disappoint

@Aishu13, @deepsel - I hope they have some very convincing reasons for Dev's behavior and not just some half cooked theory like in the current track. I also sincerely hope they don't spoil Sonakshi's character to glorify Dev in the future. Let's hope they do some real creative writing...

@love_krpkab - agree with you 100%. There was a time when I used to watch the first 100 episodes on repeat mode, but I'm not able to see them anymore, just feel bad when I see them. They look 2 completely different shows except with same characters.
