We are too harsh on him. Let's cut him some slack.

Here's what I posted in the weekly analysis thread.

I think a very simple explanation works.

We know Soha is Sona's daughter but we all waited for Sona's dialogue - Aap tab paida hue jab mumma pappa alag ho Gaye. First episode post leap and yet some of us were wondering if Soha was adopted.

My point when we saw the Boses with Soha we also didn't know what to make of it. Let's try and remember our posts that week. 7%, infertility , it makes more sense if she is adopted.

So for Dev this is the first episode post leap that he is seeing the Boses. He will run through the same doubts. First wonder who Soha is. She could just as easily be a child of any relative bonding with Sonakshi like Golu and Dev.

The Bose house was full of people and Soha could be just as related to them in any way.

I am glad he didn't conclude she is his daughter in the first instance. That wouldn't make sense.

The way we looked for exact words that yes Sonakshi gave birth to Soha. Dev will also look for the exact words till then he will remain confused.

Even I was confused when Sona said something like "jab mumma aapko godh mein leke the" or something like that. I was wondering if Soha is adopted or born to Sona and Dev. If so the 7% chances would have cause more complication during pregnancy and how she looks fit and all that. haha! Fiction only but kya kare!😆

Oh he surely needs a break.

He just wants to be sure that's it.

He can never think Sona can be pregnant without medical help and if she indeed conceived its not possible for her to hide such a big news from him.

Now yes Suhana is not Jatin's daughter, but what is Sona's relation with the child is still mystery to him. He is also a parent like figure for Golu, but in reality he is just his bigcha. She can be any of Sona's cousin daughter who is also Bose n is close to Sona just like Golu is close to him.

I cannot recall any scene where Soha called Sona her mother in front of Dev.

Even Soha's story can be taken just as a story only bcz she never mentioned it as her story.

N talking about similar traits of Soha- Dev well it can be a coincidence also. Now Dev cannot say every child as his own who gets ill after eating ice cream or say socho agar mai aise wali beti hoti toh.

Yes he felt special connection with the child and internally he knows the truth. He wants to be sure before getting too happy and join the dots correctly.

As a viewer we know everything but Dev doesn't. So he is taking his own sweet time, so let him be.

I don't have a problem with his thought process as much as I have issue with his actions.

1. Soha, the other day, told him - yeh toh meri mamma bhi kehti hain. He frowned at that. He could have casually asked - aapke mamma ka naam kya hain?

2. Golu called yesterday - he could have asked - do you know her mamma's name by any chance? Because Golu heard Suhana... or was it the teacher...saying Dr Bose.

This stalking funda... I am not really comfortable with a male lead doing it. Be it for Sonakshi or for Suhana, it is like saying - it's OK to do it if it's a hero doing it. He just wants to make sure the woman he loves is doing good / he just wants to know who the kid is. If you see it that way, every stalker has a valid reason.

Plus the house was full of people. And with so many new people Soha could be anyone's daughter. The kid only mentioned her mother. But the mother could very well be Sona's cousin or Jatin's relative. When he jumped to conclusion that Soha was Jatin's daughter he as wrong.

So he will want to be sure before he makes any assumptions. Specially when it involves Sonakshi.

That's the flawed Dev. That's what he did the last time and he ended up feeling disgusted with himself. Let's just say he came to Bose house tried to look for clues and when he saw so many people called Elena to enquire for him. We just saw a part of the conversation. Hopefully he exists gracefully by the time Elena comes.

What is worrying me more is Ishwari following Elena and finding Soha's truth before Dev.
