The CVs actually have a story to tell post leap, I am sure after today and a last few episodes. Now their meaningless and plain rude bickering have given way to a little more conversations, bringing in some strands from their ugly past. And the CVs are very careful opening up the layers to show us the complexity of the situation... Probably to answer is why they didn't think of solving the misunderstandings in these seven years!
At first sight, it was just anger and hate could be seen carefully delivered by their witty and sarcastic remarks. Slowly, they have started showing the layers one by one.
Recently, dev has opened quite a lot. We know he knows the hand his mother played in spoiling his marriage and that sona had every right to go but still is angry on her for leaving. He has kept a relation of hate with her for seven years and of course now that he had been given the idea that she moving on he found himself truly completely alone. He was burning from inside. So once again to get in conversation with sona or to get a reaction or something which gives away dome of her feelings he sent her those flowers. He also knows her well enough to know that she will come. And she did.
Now for sona we know how carefully guarded she keeps herself. Today however through her words I could understand a piece of her mind and feelings. She has known always the role his mother played in ruining their relationship. She knew dev too that he will always see a simple matter in a complex way even if the truth is crystal clear. That is what she saw again today... The same old dev as she said. If you notice her tone kind of softened here even if the words were harsh. It was almost as if she was sad for him because she always had a loving family but he had still not been able to completely free of himself from his tendency to see what is clear in front of him. If you know sona he needs You... Pleas go to him, love him and guide him!
But her lies the importance of her words referring to ishwari.. Probably she knows dev will always be this person. And even if she knows she will always love him... That's what holding her back. The external conditions surrounding them. Probably this was the reason she never went back in seven years... Thinking he could never change this. Yes today dev knows his mother, does not worship her but he does love her and still will believe her because after she is his mother. I mean a person can't change his basic character right...amd I love dev for this. So probably scared if the consequences aftermath surroundings is what has been holding her back.
One more thing cleared in this conversation that both know they have not and will not ever move on and that the other has also not. Dev said hum mai se koi toh age barhe, and sona said age barke yaa hum badalke kya karenge! At least I made this out if these lines. Though I confused what she meant by halat badal gaye...any ideas!
How beautiful this conversation was carved and executed...sona rightly describing ishwari's exact character, dev past and current condition, and the fact that dev didn't move on probably hurt that sona left him without believing in him, and sona because one her misunderstandings about prenuptial and house... And two because of the conditions she knows there love and relationship will always be tied up in!
Loved loved it!
Some more scenes... Both golu and soha are children who don't have what people may call a traditional family like that insensitive teacher. For golu it's not his mom and dad but his bigcha, for suhana it's her mother and a father whom she only imagines. I loved how innocently they challenged these conventions we have of this family!
Finally, last point loved how misunderstandings about jatin are already cleared up so he is no more the typical third angle.
Precap: I have a feeling it's only dev soha meeting or conversation which will break sona or push her to show her feelings. Nothing else seems to be working. So by e Arly next week truth should be out I think and it will be interesting to watch after that!
