Guys I wish to share something.Earlier I used to think that moms like Ishwari and sons like Dev who are obsessed with their mothers do not exist in real life. But a few days ago an incident occurred with someone whom I know which changed my views.
One of my mom's friends' daughter got married a couple of years ago.The guy was based in Australia, was well settled and they thought that everything was fine.Even the boy's family seemed to be so sweet when they had met them.

But recently the girl returned home and she was on the verge of depression. Her husband was not who he seemed to be.After a couple of months of the wedding, the guy's mom and his sister came to stay with them. Then he started showing his true colors. He wouldn't do anything without asking his mom and sis.The girl had to ask his mother's permission even for buying a toothpaste. Moreover the guy used to sleep with his mom at night because he wasn't used to sleeping without his mom.His wife was completely isolated. The guy's mom and sis used to taunt her on a regular basis. They even told her that she was worthless and had no value. They guy did not utter a word against them. She could not even go out without their permission.
Finally the girl couldn't take it anymore and returned. Her parents have decided to end the marriage once and for all and she is attending counselling sessions. She is not the same anymore.Earlier she used to be happy, confident and vibrant. But now she is almost unrecognizable.

Atleast Dev had genuinely cared for Sona but this guy did not even bother to speak a couple of words with his wife.

IS she asking him to bring sona back?

I didn't really understand from where did that line drop in the middle of the conversation. If I can make some sense out of it, it's that Ishwari is as terrified of the power Sonakshi has on Dev as she was seven years back. And she still has that deep rooted dislike for her that she can't even picture Dev' life with both the ladies having their own places. According to her, it has to be either Ishwari or Sonakshi. The very same logic got her to where she is today and she still continues to hold on to it!

Sigh! Women being so inhuman to another woman. And why do men like the one you have mentioned ever get married? And then there is this whole set up o arranged marriage in our society where the two people getting married are not even given sufficient time to know each other. It's like as if parents just want to get done with their responsibilities as early as possible, no matter whether their child suffers for life because of that.

Did anyone else felt like this.. I found Dev-Sona face off more real than ever with the actual effect of the real issues between them.. And Sonakshi voicing out made my heartbeat raise so much that I felt her vulnerability and annoyance in putting some sense into Dev.. I was like "please say it all without breaking down" She was almost there but glad that she picked herself up and walked away...👏

Seriously man!!! People like Ishwari know nothing but to ruin others lives and control. For every Ishwari there should be a girl like Sonakshi.
That MIL which you mentioned must have been a batshit crazy woman.
Many a times women are unable to bear the torture and crumble. Moreover this mental and emotional abuse is nothing less than physical abuse.

Hope she recovers soon.. Yes it's difficult but it's possible for her to get back to her form.. She just needs to hold on, vent out, keep herself engaged with constructive activities... Hope she gets the right support and gets it all... I've seen real women who has really taken back their form from harsh difficulties.. Such women need to be empowered not sympathized.. They go on to become inspirational for many..

Exactly. For Dev,Sonakshi is not only the woman he loves but she is also his necessity.Because whatever happiness he had got in his entire life it was because of her only.

Sonakshi's case is different. She has grown more matured over the years. She wishes to resume her life as it was going on.For the chains of Dev's love no longer bind her.During the first break up,the feelings existed and so did Sonakshi's respect and empathy for Dev.That's why she was drawn to him.But now she has overcome everything. She is not obliged to him anymore.

This post of yours remind me of a book named Sita by Devdutt Pattnaik. It was his reinterpretation of the Ramayana.
There it was said that though Ram had freed Sita from all the obligations and duties when he sent her on the second Vanvas,he could never free himself.
Sita was not bound to anyone when she returned to Mother Earth. But Ram was always bound to Sita.He might have freed her from being Ram's wife but he would always remain Sita's husband.

Dev and Sona's current scenario reminded me of that paragraph in the book.

so true sita ya sona are not bound because there is no love left in them in fear of losing .
that chapter were sita leaves with earth is misal to the world 👏it shows the strength of the women and how women stand tall ...more power to womanhood ...good take ya🤗

That's what is upsetting. One woman is so unempathetic to another woman.
The man whom I have mentioned is a Mama's Boy to the core.He even got married because his Mom insisted him to.Otherwise he was not interested. But that spineless, insensitive loser ruined a girl's life.
The arranged marriage system confuses me.People can't decide immediately. It's a decision about your life.
