Today I am going to play 'Devils Advocate'. And here are my thoughts these are based on only what was written not the show as I have not yet watched it.

A scotoma (Greek for darkness; plural: "scotomas" or "scotomata") is an area or island of loss or impairment of visual acuity surrounded by a field of normal or relatively well-preserved vision.

It ALSO means that the mind sees what it chooses to see.- Da Vinci Code - I love this book and this quote is an awesome one

The term is also used metaphorically in the field of psychology, in reference to an individual's inability to perceive personality traits in themselves that are obvious to others.

Here I want to talk about Easwari AND Dev my two most favorite people 😉

Easwari yesterday says to Sona that she hurt Dev

She left Dev shattered

She did not understand his pain

She is coming back and retriggering his hurt

Sounds very familiar of the traits that Easwari herself possessed that she is trying to project to Sona but conveniently fails to see😉

Now let us come to Dev

Dev says Sona left me

She did not keep her promise

She is moving on to hurt me

She is doing things to hurt me

See a pattern

Now he doesnt recognize Suhana Bose Why?

The signs are there correct but the mind chooses what it wants to see and his mind will give justifications because of the 7% and that Sona never lied ( the second part is true) she never did so he will not have reason to believe she would have so what does he want to see?

Sona moved on , and she moved on with a guy who has a child, a child that she and I spoke of having and she is doing this to hurt me

So why will he see even if the signs are in front of him whether Suhana shouts thru the rooftops that she is a BOSE and all signs point he will not ..only time will tell how he will

As for Easwari I am not sure whether she ever will 😉

Absolutely true. Sona cant have a child is so stuck in his mind. 7% has no value in front of his thoughts. There are so many signs that points the truth to him and his heart wants it to happen ...but his mind is not willing to see it.

Just wondering what will it be that will make Dev babu realize the truth... 😕

Excellent post !

I do with agree with you on the fact that Dev is unable to use his mind properly because he is upset. But it's just difficult for me to see and accept that he has assumed Suha to be Jatin's daughter when just 5 minutes ago Suha told him that her mother is on the way.. And well, 5 minutes later Sonakshi Bose arrives.. 😕

Dev is Ishwari's blood and exclusive upbringing except a better human being than Ishwari could ever be. So this apple definitely didn't fly much farther from the rotting tree.

As for Dev's mind,didn't it always do the same? He always did choose to ignore the blatantly obvious things.🤔 That's what got him where he is now.

Thanks everyone for replying.

I just watched today's episode and I liked it.

Dev has always been like this never sees what is in front of him. He did that when he was married to Sona doing it now when is front of Soha

He literally takes things in face value. Sona said she will never leave him he took it literally and now is hurt and ranting. Dr said 7 % chance he takes it literally. Easwari said Sona and Jatin are getting married..same thing.

But when will he open his eyes? And see the truth when the truth will be brutally shoved in his face and who will do the honors The mata herself...Why because she thinks she is always right and everyone wrong so prove herself right she will do bold but crazy stuff.and be exposed for who she is.

I think in the pre cap Dev is confronting Sona about Jatin and so Sona was sarcastic about Easwari..just my hunch

When they were married Dev couldn't or did not see anything in front of him..but then he did know he will lose what he values most.

Now that he thinks he lost everything he has to open his eyes..and I believe he will and see the light.

It maybe a painful process with all these new people coming in but I think all these people re just catalyst s

Well said...I couldn't agree more...My only consolation is that they may be giving time for the daughter -dad duo to bond... hopefully not the expense of wrecking 2 other people's life...and crushing their feelings...

Thanks Geena your write up on Sona on the analyses thread was the best write up on Sona I have ever read and it deserves a separate post hope you will open a separate post for it

Excellent and in-depth analysis.👏

The eyes see what the mind commands it to see. The mind gives signals after retrieving data which has already been accumulated. The 7% chance ko sab ne nazar-andaaz kar diya!
