*Season 2, Week 5* Analysis Thread - Page 26

I honestly think this show stopped making sense ages back 😆 They keep ignoring vital points and dumbing down characters just to create conflict/drama. Now that is some real dearth of creativity and intelligence on part of the writers 😆 Anyways, the one thing I look forward to watch in this show right now is Dev-Soha-Golu. Which has a lot to do with the actors rather than the characters. Shaheer is so so good with the kids. That bit where he scoops Soha in his arms, looks at her with eyes full of admiration/love, that split second where he mulled over the ''what if' scenario. How good was he. And that bit where he is amused by Golu's reaction and kisses him and Golu's reaction- there is just so much warmth and chemistry in their interactions. I say it again. The main reason why ppl sympathize with Dev is because of Shaheer. He makes Dev look vulnerable and someone who just deserves a hug despite all his flaws. And Soha literally lights up in his presence. Like he is all she wants (which is not exactly the case cos she is a happy child and has a great family). That is all Shaheer and the chemistry he shares with the lil girl 😆

Just wondering what kind of people cause hurt to people who they claim to love. Sadse jyada pyaar...

He has caused her public humiliation,( award function, newspaper IV, office wall breaking, the frequent verbal duals, etc.). He has humiliated her in private, has shown a very mild discomfort when Vicky was terribly bad mouthing her... makes me doubt his love and the brand of his love.

Sona has more cheers from me because she might still have feelings(though I feel she is almost 80%over Dev now) according to some, but at least she is not consciously aware of her feelings. She is not trying to hurt the person she loves. And if it comes to comparison, I think she will never hurt or make public spectacle of someone she loves. Even now, when she is indifferent, she just reacts when riled up.

Audience are able to relate to characters that they themselves are in real life or what they would like to see on reel. I also root for Sonakshi for the above mentioned qualities but since its a character developed by writers, there is no guarantee that she would behave exactly how the audience would like to, all the time. 😃 Similarly, Dev's character now is not liked by audience but there are viewers who emphathise because of the pain he is going through. I respect that because I know that with a single stroke of pen, the writers can make him worse (he can kidnap Suhana) or he can change for good! Besides, Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus.

There are real people out there like Sonakshi and Dev. Some people are good at suppressing emotions like Sonakshi while others let it out in different ways. That's life.

Desperately hoping that Dev not guessing Soha's parentage is NOT because of his low IQ. May be in his head( Its 'The Dev dixit's head' after all - not an easy place) he thinks any child of Sona would be Miss Dixit and not Bose. May thats why it does not strike him that the child could be his and Sona's. The Dixit name is important to him and his latent traditional make up does not guess that this charming child could be named with her mother's surname. He may not remember Jatin's surname, I din't 😉. He was more interested in J's personal life.

Only pure hearts and souls will acknowledge their feelings without ego or inhibitions. Dev's honest admission that he loves only Sonakshi and no one else bowled me over. He is angry with her but that didn't stop him confess his true feelings for her. He is neither intimidated nor bothered about Iswari while doing so. All that matters to him is his love and the pain he experiences on seeing her move on. I always believed he is a better lover. He hurts ,locks her up waits for her call but in doing so he proves that he can not get over her as his world revolves round her. He jumps to her rescue without bothering about himself and gets relief only after seeing her safe.

I will disagree and agree with sonakshi's point here. Many a times she has also instigateDev and brought personal matters in public. Both the sides haven't left any chance to humiliate each other.

What i agree with you is Sonakshi's moving on. Either she has a very strong facade or she is over Dev now. In this situation there is a question mark on Devakshi's reunion because if Sonakshi has indeed moved on then her coming back only for Suhana is not done.

Other than this, this third angle thing to make Sonakshi vulnerableis not really appealing to me. If they show cracks in her facade without anyone's interference, then its good, bcz i didn't find her "really jealous" on seeing Dev with Shruti. It was more of a disgusted expression. And it was her own anger and frustration that she was passing on through Shruti to dev rather than jealousy. ATM Sona is very difficult to read with respect to Dev.

@CSCS- See, what I am saying is - if Dev is aware about his love and still hurts her. This is precisely what I do not get . May be there are people who find pleasure in hurting their loved ones. As Rekha pointed out that we connect with people who mirror our psyche.

About Sonakshi- I do feel she instigates less and reacts to instigations more. Also she is the type who might steer clear of Dev even if she realizes she loves him madly... still if Dev asks her to stay away or of Dev gets engaged to someone else..
Besides even if as per you she is instigating Dev, being mean to Dev, she is not doing it to someone she loves (at least consciously, unlike Dev!)

That's my gripe with Dev. If he loves her why does he hurt her?

Rekha- I agree. Both Sona and Dev kabhi bhi kalti maar saktey hein with respect to characterization.
Aaj jo hai woh kal nahi hoga aur parson to kisi ne likha hi nahi hai 😆
Oh and I also liked Sona's views on marriage at present. Shaadi ka ladoo was bad tasting and she does not want to repeat her mistakes.

By the way, highly irrelevant, I know. But before the leap happened, who was very keen to see a Tiny Mr Aubhodro, namely Devansh, as so many writers in the forum have named their imaginative little one?

Actually I have the same doubt where Dev is rubbing on her face that he has moved on again and again confirms he has not.Sona was both disgusted and releived when Shruti was thrown out of the room.So what purpose does the new entry really serve to make sona jealous or something else??
