You know for almost a month there's a lot of discussion in the forum about why Sona is keeping Soha a secret from Dev. And Bang ! In the precap we finally Sona opening up and voicing her fears her insecurities her pain , in one word she's allowing herself to be vulnerable , pulling off the mask of always being the strong kick ass Sona , in front of Jatin only , some thing she could never do in front of even her "best friend Asha. She seldom , if ever , let Dev see her vulnerable side . That was a major problem between them. She always had to be the strong one in their relationship and one day she cracked under the pressure of it.

Yes , another point is she has never opened up to Dev from the beginning ...she has shown herself as a strong one...I was very much surprised looking the comfort she shared with Jatin...In fact she has never allowed Dev to see her vulnerable side ...I think its primarily because she wants to be always right and best...

I could be wrong here ...but I always thought spouse would know you better than your friend...and that is why I felt Jatin might win her heart because knows her much better than Dev...

Having said this...I didn't get tht husband and wife feel from these two like day before yesterdays car scene...

More than anything I am intrigued by this guy. What has he done that he has earned Sona's explicit trust.It was never easy for her to show her vulnerability even in front of her family. They had to pry it out of her. With Dev she never did. But she is completely open with him and that too after she had been hurt so bad. So what is so special about him? There is no awkwardness when they embrace. No self awareness. So no romantic inclination but the bond is pure and deep. I am really liking this guy. 😃

I really pitied dev today. He truly has nothing except golu who is not an adult.

Sona has loving, supportive family, a daughter & now a wonderful friend.

I am also surprised the ease they have between them and also the fact she shared her insecurities with him. Something she never did with dev.

But there was no romantic feeling between them &I as sonas family pushes her consider jatin in that manner I feel she will examine her feelings for dev which have never gone away.

It will be devakshi only at the end!

You just wrote what I thought in a very simple way...Sona never was this comfortable with Dev...never talked abt her insecurities...now when I look back ...its Dev who has opened up and not Sona...I guess she didn't have to because she had ELina and Saurabh...

And Yes I feel bad for Dev ...he doesn't have any one in his life except his Golu...and the facade he is putting up is not earning him any brownie points or friendship...

In the relationship between Dev and Sona, Dev always made it clear that she was the strongest of the two. same with bose family, they all had an expectation from Sona that she is a strong woman. sona has this nature that when people expect something out of her, she strives her best to not let them down. it was seen often that she tried to hide her hurt/ vulnerabilities in front of her parents and Dev as she did not want to disappoint them. in a way she had defenses drawn up in front of all of them .The was only a very few occasions where she shared her mind with her DADA.

Firstly, please dont judge Jatin from simply one appearance.

Jatin looks like a guy, who accepts sona the way she is and does not have any expectations from her to start with. so she can be herself with him. talk to him freely, share her worries, and most importantly let down her guard and let him see her in her most vulnerable state.

With Ritwick the relationship was inclined to be a romantic one from the start. he was her prospective groom. In jatin's case, he is her friend first, will the relationship get the flavor of romance or not is yet to be seen.

In the initial days even Dev and Sona's bonding started off as friendship, a confidante and then slowly progressed into love.

As her relationship with Jatin progresses, it might be possible that Sona realizes the role she played in Dev's life. she was not just his lover/wife but the very anchor due to which he could live.

As of now she does not realize her importance in his life. she only thinks as wife and has expectations from him as his wife. the day she realizes her role, that day she will start to see beyond her hurt and humiliation and then understand why Dev was angry with her in the first place.

Dev already knows the importance of Sona in his life. its just that he could not make Ishwari realize the importance of sona. owing to blind faith towards his mom, he ended up shattering his bond with sona. Today Dev does not have this faith anymore. his anger and resentment to sona only stems up from the fact that he knows sona is his anchor and he is wayward without her.
