I interpreted the scene differently. Sonakshi could agree for marraige after coaxing by Bijoy n just to prove moved on point yo Dev but it will be Jatin who will not agree and make Sona realise the blunder she was going to commit as she still loves Dev.
Because Jatin appeared very sorted and didnot look like having romantic feeling for Sona, they appear to share a platonic relationship, like brother from another mother. Plus he is well aware of Sona dev past and was shown to suggest dev Soha introduction. So appears more like a person who will show the right path to Sonakshi as every member in boss household now appear anti Dev. Ironic they're want their daughter s remarriage without introducing their granddaughter to her father. I mean which family does that unless SIL is a criminal or untraceable.
