Chapter 3
Dev reached the wedding only to find Sona coming down holding Ria by her shoulders...Ahh!!...What a mesmerising look she was carrying...almost like a fairy came down from heaven...
Sona too realised that someone was eyeing her...and started searching for that person's presence and she found what she wished for ...Dev Dixit...The moment she observed his light brown eyes...she had got a strong liking for it!
Both Sona & Dev's eyes met up for once & twice but they pretended to ignore each other to avoid awkwardness
Here was so engrossed in seeing her that He didn't notice Ishwari coming towards him. Only when she called him "DeV"...quite loudly because of DJ being played...he broke his sight
Ishwari- "Dev! Beta aa gya tu?!...Jaa jakar Ayan aur uski hone wali biwi se mil le!"
Dev nodded in a yes and moved towards where the bride & groom were sitting!
Sona too was there with Ria to comfort her...and soon saw Dev approaching towards the stage
Sona to herself -" ohh! God agar inhone mujhe pehchan liya toh gadbad ho jaegi...Kitna ajeeb lagega agar unhone Ayan ya Ria se pehle mujhe hello bola toh!!"
But as soon as Dev could say something Ayan addressed him
Ayan- "Dev Bhai!...aao idhar let me introduce u to my to-be wife Ria"
Dev hugged Ayan and said to him
Dev-"Congratluations Ayan & Ria..All the best for ur new journey!"
Ayan-"Thanx Bhai!"
Ria- "Hi Dev Bhai!...Nice to meet u...I've heard abt u from ayan...bht tareef karte h yeh aapki!"
Dev-"Nice to meet u too Ria...Aur ayan toh bachpan se aisa hai...bht pyaar karta h mujhse...ekdum bade bhaai jsa maanta hai..
Aur tum bhi mere liye meri choti behen jaisi ho...jab bhi koi problen ho..I'm just a phone call away!"
Sona was hearing their convo...and was all high on respect for Dev for his humble nature!"
Ria -"Dev Bhai yeh meri best friend Sonakshi hai..she's just like my sister!...and Sona he is Dev;Ayan's childhood friend
Sona smilingly widly said-"Hi Dev"
Dev too responded with a smile-"Hi Miss Bose"
Ria was surprized about how did Dev got to know Sona's surname...when she had only mentioned her name?!"
Sona too was in shock...and signalled Dev
Ria -"Dev bhai...How do u know her surname?!"
Dev -"Hahaha!...I just made a guess ...she looks like a Bengali So I just made a gues that her surname will be Bose"
Not fully convinced ;Ria said *OK*
Both Dev & Sona had a sigh of relief!
The photographer came to the stage and asked them to click picture!
Both Ria & Ayan agreed for it and pulled Sona & Dev respectively for the picture!
After clicking the picture Sona moved out from the stage to make way for other guests to greet the Bride & groom!
Dev called the photographer and asked him to give the copy of that picture to him that he clicked of all 4 of them...and asked him not to tell this to anyone else!
After meeting & greetings Both Ria & Ayan exchanged garlands and all the other guests clapped for them and threw flower petals on both of them!
After that both Bride's & Groom's family requested the guests to enjoy lavished dinner..and all the main rituals will be conducted in the midnight!
All the guests included Dev & Sona approached towards food counters where multiple cuisines were there for the guests to gorge on!
Sona had all the healthy items on her platter!..seeing sona alone Dev walked towards her
Dev in a loud voice said in Sona's ears!
Dev -"Miss Bose"
Sona got a shock and screamed *Ahh!*
And turned her face towards him!
Sona -"are u crazy Mr.Dixit?!...Aisa koi kisi k kaan m cheekhta hai kya?!"
Dev controlling his laughter -"Sry Miss Bose!...Lekin aapko darane m maza bht aaya mujhe!"
Sona-" Mazaa?!...If u would have been in my hospital naah!...I would have injected u on ur bump!"
Dev -"Haww!...aap mujhe dhamki de rahi h?!"
Sona-"Nahi! I'm giving u a warning!...aage se aisa kiya naah toh..."!
Dev-"Ok! OK! MISS BOSE!"
SONA- "It's Dr.Bose for u!"
Dev-" Yeh aapka chidiya ke daane jitna khana khati hai kya?!"(Dev asked her in a teasing way)
Sona-"What is chidiya ka daana?!...Mr.Dixit this all healthy food and we should eat less at night for proper digestion!...isliye I'm taking this much only!"
Dev-"But I'm a big foodie...mujhe mere khane se boht pyaar hai...isliye I would love to gorge on my fav dishes!"
Dev while eating his fav Ras-Malai asks Sona
Dev- "Accha vse Miss Bose oops, Dr.Bose tell me one thing why were u ignoring me when u were coming down with ria?!"
Sona was surprized as to hear that he was observing her- "Dekhiye , Mr.Dixit I wasn't ignoring u it was you who was ignoring me!"
Dev in a mischievous tone asks Sona
Dev-"Ohh! Toh aap mujhe dekh rahi thi?!"
Sona (almost in anger ; raising her voice)-"Haa! Aur aapne jse mujhe bina dekhe hi guess kar liyaa naah ki I'm ignoring u!"
Dev-"Arrey!..itni si baat par itna kyu gussa kar rahi ho?!
Sona-"Main gussa kar rahi hu?!...this was all started by u!"
Dev-"Me?!...I was talking normally...it's u who started fighting!"
Sona again raising her voice.."Mr. Dixit"
Dev too raised his voice "Dr.Bose"
As soon they get into next round of fighting Nikki (Sona's another best friend)...came to her!
Nikki-"Offo!!..are u both kids?!"
Dev -"No!"
Nikki-"Are u a married couple?!"
Sona-"Not at all!"
Nikki in a loud & irritated voice-"Toh phir itna lad kyu rahe ho?!!"
Sona & Dev looked at each other
Nikki-"Chalo!...ab acche bacchon ki tarah Handshake karo aur friendship karlo!"
Sona & Dev -"Hello! We r not kids ok!"
Nikki -"Bola na Handshake karo...Sona tell ur Mr.Dixit how much I'm stubborn...I'll not let u go till u both shake ur hands & get over ur fight!
Sona-"Kar lijiye naah!...warna She'll make both of us go crazy with her talks!"
Dev nodded in a Yes!
And they both had a handshake and ended their fight!
Nikki-"yeh hui naah baat!...chlo let's go to the dance floor...we gonna have a ballroom dance"
All 3 of them headed towards the Dance floor...where Ria-Ayan were having a couple dance...and rest all were watching them merrily
The DJ asked all the young girls & boys to come on the dance floor as they gonna have ball room dance
Both Sona & Dev were reluctant...but agreed on evryone's insistence!
And the songs were played and each time the partners got changed the song was also changed...
Everyone was enjoying and after 3-4 partner exchanges...finally It was Dev & Sona's turn to be dance partners!
And the song was played
"Lag jaa gale ki phir
yeh haseen raat ho na ho!"
Shayad phir is janam mein
Mulakat ho na ho!"
And here Dev-Sona shared an eyelock...with a pin-drop silence in between them they explored each other through their eyes!...
They don't know what happened to them and they even didn't want to know ...as if only the two of them existed on this planet...Their sight broke only to realise that the song has-been changed and now partners too need to be changed so as Sona spinner around to the next person with whom she'll have the dance suddenly she realised something weird in her foot and as soon as she could gather herself back she fell down on the floor and had a sprain in her right leg.
Sona screamed in pain "OUCHH!" "AHH!! Maa" and soon all eyeballs shifted to her . Dev too looked upon her and ran towards her...
Dev- "Kya hua Miss Bose...How did this happen?!... Are u OK?!"
Sona signalled Dev to see her right leg and Dev found her heel to be broken and that's why she fell on the floor.
All of them except few started murmuring & making fun of her!
A girl talking to another "Look she can't even afford to buy a branded pair of heels and now is humiliated in front of all"
Another girl replied "She must not be so rich naah like all. What is she doing in a high society wedding?!"
All these talks shot Dev's temper and he confronted them!
Dev - "Wow!! What a high class wedding this is! Where people are so mannerless that instead of helping an injured person they are making fun of her!"
"I pity you all for calling yourselves civilised. You just are educated fools!"
Hearing this from a Big Businessman like Dev, all of their heads let down with embarrassment . And they apologized for their mistake!
All this while Sona was just looking at Dev admiring his protectiveness towards her!. She almost forgot her pain for that minute and just saw him talking
Dev leaned towards Sona and asked
Dev - "May I help u Dr.Bose?!"
Sona happily gave her hand to him to pick her up!. At that time Asha,Bijoy ,Ishwari and too arrived at the scene.
Asha & Bijoy along with Dev made Sona to sit on the couch and then Dev brought a glass of water to her.
Asha was highly impressed with Dev's behaviour and said to Bijoy
Asha- "Dev Babu kitne acche hair naah!...Hilarious Sona ka kitne acche se khayal rakh rage hain!
Bijoy - "Asha Kya tum bhi ...ab is waqt bhi tumko the Sab suj raha hai?!. Sona will get married as & when she agrees for it. We'll not impose our wishes on her!"
Asha - "arrey I'm not asking her to get married right now. I want her to think about Dev. That's it!"
Bijoy - "arrey but u meant the similar meaning naah! Eventually u want her to get married asap"
Before Asha could say something further Dev arrived asked their permission to drop them home
Bijoy refused to it but Asha made him agree to atleast send Sona with Dev.
While Devika & Ishwari too were noticing what was happening
Devika - "Did u see something?!"(intending to talk about Dev & Sona)
Ishwari - "No"
Devika in an irritated voice - "C'mon u know what I'm talking about"
Ishwari - "Yeah! I do. But I don't want to talk about it so early when I'm not too sure about what I saw and I believed is true or not!..and till then I'll not ask anything from Dev"
Devika agreed to her half heartedly. Seeing Dev coming towards them she stopped asking further questions
Dev to Ishwari -"Maa! Can I drop Dr.Bose at her home?!.She's injured"
Ishwari without asking any question nodded in a Yes
Both Sona & Dev Drove to Bose House. Wthout speaking anything , they only exchanged glances with each other smilingly
On reaching home, Sona broke the silence b/w them saying *THANK YOU* to Dev
Dev winked at her and replied "It's ok Dr.Bose , Friendship m *No Sorry , No Thanku*. Vse hum friends toh hai naah?!"
Sona with a grin on her face replied "Haa!..and for u Miss Bose bhi chalega!"
Both laughed at their antics and bid adieu to each other!
